After dressing up in casual clothes, I glance at my luggage inside the closet of Belle. It feels like that luggage belongs here, especially the clothes inside.

I decided to stay here in Ottawa to think of a way to convince Connor. I knew that George Cortez, Belle’s father, couldn't do anything to stop the wedding.

He is a man who cannot take back his words. His pride was on the line.

I understand him, so the only way to cut off this so-called wedding was to give Connor a tempting offer.
