Connor immediately yanked me out of my unit. His hand tightened around my wrist as we entered the elevator, dragging me inside.

“Connor, please, stop this.” I pleaded, but he remained silent.

The elevator was in total silence as we headed down to the first floor. I attempted to ask him where we were going, but seeing the fury in his eyes, my tongue backed out.

He said today is our wedding day, which is true. It's indicated in the wedding invitation but I completely forgot.
