Chapter 168

YSABELLE

Tears formed in my eyes as I intently stared at my Dad, Andrew Garcia, in front of me.

“Let's get out of here.”

Before I could even ask about his sudden appearance, he held my wrists and pulled me out of the hallway with Jessica tagging behind me.

We entered the room where he came from but he stopped and peeked back to the door.

Jessica and I were surprised by the gunfire, causing us to hide in the corner of the room. I was more worried about my Dad, thinking he might get hurt. But I saw him loading his gun while looking at us.

“Cover your ears.” He firmly said.

Jessica and I immediately covered our ears and a loud and spontaneous gunfire echoed in the hallway.

My heart was pounding nervously with the thought I was in between the war.

But after a few minutes, it stopped, and I just realized Jessica’s sobbing behind me. She felt traumatized by the shootout.

I held her hand tightly to ease her fear.

Dad suddenly pushed us to the wide open wind– The window is open!
