YSABELLE

As I arrived home before dinner, I saw Ronan drinking whiskey on the couch. He looked worn out as he chugged down the glass before his eyes met mine.

I avoided his eyes and took off my heels because it was killing my toes.

“Where did you go?”

“I met my father,” I said as I walked past him, heading upstairs.

I'm doubting Ronan’s intention in getting back with me and helping my father's company. Is he the same as some money-addict rich asshole who only loves themselves for being a wealthy freak?

My father is a great example.

Why am I doubting Ronan? Even his feelings for me.

Father brainwashed me again.

I throw my heels inside the closet and feel exhausted.

“What's wrong?”

I was startled at Ronan’s presence behind me.

“Nothing.”

I took off my clothes to change into comfortable ones despite Ronan’s heavy sigh behind me. I want to ask him what's bothering him because it's obvious he's worrying about something.
