2024-10-29 19:42:56Rayna was right. There was nothing wrong with being honest with myself. She already saw through my facade, found out about my fear of needles, so all I needed was to admit it. Honestly, I didn’t want her to know, but I knew it was inevitable when I refused to let her hand go.
I always feared this tiny but sharp object since I was a kid. Hated it. Cried a lot because of it. It brought unsavory memories to the present I didn’t want to remember; memories of my blasted unfortunate childhood and how my father maltreated me. These memories always returned in full force whenever I face this little foe. It never failed to make my mood thorny.
The healers had stuck needles inside me on so many occasions over the course of time. I always expected I’d be immune to it, but surprise, surprise, I fucking didn’t.
