AUTHOR'S POV

Weeks Earlier

The King of the South sat in his throne room, tapping his toe furiously, one of his hands on his chin. It had been years of searching, years of hoping against the odds.

The door creaked open, and the Southern Commander entered, the King's face flickered to anger as he turned to him.

“Victory, Your Majesty,” the Commander announced, bowing low. “The Northern outposts have been overrun.”

“Garrick, you have brought victory as always but you have also brought me bad news as well.”

“I promise to seek the head of those who killed Naya and Kael…” he paused, his fists clenched. “Or those caused their death.”

“I warned you that the North was the worst place, they are all people thirsty for power that they turn on their children.”

Garrick nodded in agreement. “I learned that the hard way my Lord.”

“So what else have you brought me? I hope the search wasn't a fail?” The King frowned, gesturing to one of the maids to serve Garrick wine. “Drink, you must be thirsty.”

Georgina’s POVThe days after everything happened were strange and heavy. Sitting in my room, I tried to understand it all, but it was too much. On the outside, things seemed calm, but I felt like a storm was raging inside me. Thomas had finally confessed everything, how he schemed betrayed me, and was responsible for the deaths of the twenty-one Alphas and put the blame on Naya and Kael.I have never been more happy to see Thomas after a long time, begging me to spare his life. A small smile tugged at the corner of my lips as I remembered who Thomas begged and said that I should spare him for old-time sake. Yes, Thomas has been there for me since I was a child and I have already repaid him by making him King, it isn't my fault he went nuts. Lena and Beta Nathan’s punishments were more satisfying, unlike Thomas who was taken to a land of no return where traitors and dangerous prisoners were taken and would work there for eternity even if they died, their bodies would be fed to the

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   A breath of the past

Godfrey’s POVThe sun was setting, casting a golden glow across the horizon. I stood on the castle balcony, taking in the peaceful view. For the first time in a long time, I felt calm, I still couldn't believe the queen and I still won the battle during our last minutes. Finally, Thomas was gone and the queen was happy, everything was finally going into place. And I still couldn’t believe I was reunited with my family, I mean I always wondered about what my parents looked like or what kind of position they held but who would have thought I was the son of the greatest King on earth? “Even I didn't know,” Draco chipped in. “I always knew we were special but never knew we were this special.”I chuckled nodding my head in agreement. My thoughts drifted to my childhood, where I moved from corner to corner in search of old dry bread crumbs. I spent my early years in the shadow of wealth, watching noble children play in the gardens while I scrubbed floors. Life was never easy. We barel

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   A tangled proposal

Godfrey’s POVPamela’s words made my head spin, I didn't know how to respond without sounding rude. “We should marry,” she said, her voice calm, like it was the most natural thing in the world.I stared at her, shocked. “Pamela, are you serious? That’s crazy. You are married to Dawn!”She stepped closer, her eyes locking on mine. “That doesn’t matter,” she said softly. “My marriage to Dawn is a joke. I don’t love him. But you and I? Together, we could be unstoppable. Our families, our kingdoms…think of the power we could have!”I leaned against the cold stone railing, trying to stay calm. “Pamela, I’m not interested in power or alliances. Marriage isn’t just about making deals. It should mean something.”Her lips curled into a cold smile. “Meaning? You are talking about meaning when you’ve been sneaking around with my mother, didn't my parent's marriage mean anything before you started fucking her?” She snapped. My brows furrowed in anger immediately. *I'm sorry,” she quickly apolo

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   A queen's Rest

Georgina’s POVThe soft glow of the candlelight flickered across the walls of my chambers, casting warm shadows over the tapestries and gilded frames. I sat on my bedside with a goblet of wine in my hand. The day had been long, and my mind wandered through everything that had happened. Finally, I had some peace, the elders were as responsive as during my father's reign but I had to be careful with this great power comes bigger enemies. Suddenly, there was a knock at my door. My heart quickened as I placed the goblet on the table beside me and straightened up.“Come in,” I called, keeping my voice calm, though I was eager to see who it was.The door opened, and Godfrey walked in. His broad shoulders filled the room, and the sight of him brought a warmth to my chest. His dark hair was slightly messy. When his eyes met mine, they softened, and a small smile played on his lips.“Georgina,” he said, his voice deep and comforting. “I hope I’m not disturbing you.”“You’re never a disturb

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   Can I marry her?

Godfrey’s POVThe morning sunlight streamed through the palace windows, painting the floors with a golden hue. I walked toward the main hall, closer than a snail, my face was very calm but my mind was racing.“Will you marry me?” I heard in my head, I stopped, hitting my palm on my head. I still couldn't get it out of my head. It kept playing over and over in my head.I couldn’t help but feel a mix of pride and fear. She was the queen, yes, I was having an intimate relationship with her but will our marriage be accepted by the public?Fuck the public, I don't care about them…so now the real question is was I really worthy of her?As I entered the hall, my father was waiting for me. His strong, commanding presence filled the room, and beside him stood Garrick. I walked closer, bowing my head a little. “Godfrey,” my father said. “Are you ready for today?”“Ready for what, Father?” I asked, stealing a glance at Garrick who stepped closer. A mischievous glint sparkled in his eyes. “

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   The taste of their own medicine

Georgina’s POVThe council chamber was deathly silent, as I glanced at each elder, a small satisfied smile playing on my lips. The elders sat before me, their eyes lowered, their faces pale with fear. The oldest among them clutched his wooden staff so tightly that his knuckles turned white.I stood at the head of the long table, patiently waiting for them to speak but no one dared to. They must have realized the weight of their betrayal and wanted to make it up to me…more like waiting for their judgment I let my gaze sweep across the room, making each of them squirm under my glare. They should be afraid.I let out deep breaths, placing my hands on my table, I intentionally cleared my throat, and they jerked up in fear. “This is the first meeting with me after your betrayal,” I began. “I shouldn't punish you, you are all my father's council, I should let you go.”They exchanged confused glances at each other. “But, I don't think I want this same set of council to help me run my Kin

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   Mummy, please....

Georgina’s POVThe cool breeze of the day touched my brushing through my face as I stepped out of the council chamber. I closed my eyes for a moment, enjoying the silence as the sunlight shone on my face. The distant chirping of birds sends comfort through my boiling blood. But it didn’t last long.As I opened my eyes, I noticed someone standing in the courtyard. Pamela. Her small figure shook slightly under the pale glow of the sunlight. I decided to ignore her and walk past her, hoping she wouldn't make any more trouble. “Mother!” she called after me. “Wait, please!”“Fuck,” I cussed, clenching my fists in anger. It wouldn't matter how far I reached, Pamela would chase me till the end, it was best I stop and end her drama now. I stopped in my tracks, crossing my arms over my chest. Her face was flushed from running, she bent down trying to catch her breath. “What now, Pamela?” I asked, my voice cold. She continued walking and stopped a few steps away from me, clutching her ha

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   Dawn's pleas

GEORGINA'S POV. The sun hung low in the sky, casting warm light on the stone walls of the palace as I walked back to my chambers. My footsteps echoed softly, the only sound in the quiet halls. I scoffed loudly each second, I still couldn't believe how shameless Pamela had become, I definitely didn't raise her like this and then again she was from Thomas's seed. I let out a sharp breath, rubbing my temples. Could this day possibly get worse?I turned to the next corner, almost bumping into Dawn. His mouth fell open as he staggered backward like he had seen a ghost. This was our first meeting after I became queen back. Oh, this was so good, seeing all their faces filled with fear after what they did to me. “Forgive me, Your Majesty,” he said quickly, his voice trembling. “I didn’t mean to bump into you.”I sighed, gesturing for him to move aside, I just wanted to get to my room. “My queen,” he stopped me. I stopped in my tracks, slowly turning to him. “Alpha,” I corrected, a fa

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   Our forever

Godfrey’s POVThe morning of our wedding arrived with the soft glow of the sun spilling across the palace grounds. The sky was clear, the air cool and fresh, filled with the scents of wildflowers and pine from the nearby forest. Our wedding wasn’t just an ordinary one…it was a sacred werewolf ceremony, a bond blessed by the Moon Goddess, witnessed by our ancestors, and celebrated by our pack. The ceremony took place in the Moonstone Glade, a magical clearing hidden deep within the forest. The ground was covered with soft green moss, and petals of white and red flowers were scattered everywhere. An arch made of silver birch branches stood tall at the center, decorated with roses. Georgina had insisted that we did our wedding here and I agreed to it. “Are you nervous?” David whispered behind me. “Because I am.”I chuckled, turning to him. “I am the groom but you look more nervous than I am.”That was a lie, my heart was on fire, and I was only faking my calmness. Georgina smiled and released herself from her embrace. “come, I know you have a lot that you want to tell me and you want to know,” she said dragging her away. I turned to the sentinels. “Take the culprits to the dungeon, I want all eyes on them.”They nodded and moved into action, dragging them away. Just then another sentinel walked up to me and told me that my parents had arrived and were waiting for me. I asked him to gesture them in, and he nodded leaving immedi

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   The truth in the shadows

Godfrey's POV***The day of Georgina's attack***The cold wind blew through the thick forest as we searched for Nathan and Thomas, but there was no sign of them. “Keep looking,” I instructed the guards, suddenly Draco felt uneasy. I paused looking around but there was nothing around that could have triggered Draco. “What happened?” I asked. I could feel Draco's rage flaring up, his growl low but dangerous. Something was wrong.I could finally feel it, something was indeed not right, I looked around studying the forest, and my eyes turned to Pamela who looked uneasy. This was a trick, a trap or a diversion. “Georgina,” I muttered, my eyes widened in alarm and without thinking, I ran back toward the mountains, my heart hammering loudly in my chest. I needed to get to Georgina immediately. I got to where I left her and Alicia and found no one, my uneasiness growing as I scanned the environment, but still no sign of them. Suddenly I looked up and I saw her.Georgina.She was stand

She slammed the door shut behind her, the echo ringing through the room, Her hands curled into fists, her whole body trembling with anger.Across the room, Alicia leaned against the wall, her arms crossed under her breasts, a faint smile playing on her lips. The flickering candlelight cast shadows on her face. “We had a deal," Pamela spat, her voice cold and sharp. “You tricked me.”Alicia sighed, tilting her head slightly as if bored by the conversation. "Your mother is dead, Pamela. Isn’t that what you wanted?"Pamela’s eyes burned with rage. “I wanted her dead,” Pamela snapped, walking closer to her. “But do you know what I wanted more? The throne,” she snapped. “I did my own part of the job,” Alicia hissed. “Your own part of the job?* She scoffed, shaking her head in disbelief. “I wanted the throne, you said you would give me the throne.”Alicia let out a chuckle. “You lost th

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   The Return to the Palace

Godfrey’s POVThe rain fell hard as we rode through the palace gates, but it did nothing to wash away the blood. Georgina’s body lay cold in my arms, wrapped in a dark cloak, her face pale as the dead sky above us.I could not feel anything. No pain. No anger. Just emptiness.I couldn't help but feel this was my fault, I was the one that persuaded her to go on this trip and I led her to her death and worst of all I couldn't catch the culprits. Tears flowed down my cheeks freely, words could not explain how I felt, I just felt empty and filled with guilt. “It is all your fault, it is your fault, your fault,” the accusations kept playing in my mind.I searched through my mind looking for Draco, I needed someone to pull me back…it was just too sudden. I kept glancing back at her body, hoping Georgina would just get up but she didn't.The sentinels followed behind in silence, their faces grim, so we were crying loudly. The moment we stepped inside the palace, the cries increased. Ser

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   The North sea

Georgina’s POVThe cold wind from the North Sea hit my face as I stood by the rocky shore. The waves crashed against the rocks again and again, as if trying to pull the land into the sea. I got to her room, scanning the hallway, I pushed open the door to her room without knocking. She was sitting in a chair, her posture calm, but I could feel, the tension in her, I couldn't see her face since she had her back facing me but I could tell she was tired. His voice was thick as if he hadn’t spoken in a long time.Tears glistening in my eyes. "I thought you were dead! Georgina…I thought she killed you!" My chest tightened with rage, with grief, with every emotion I had buried since I had been thrown into this hellhole.Nathan let out a bitter chuckle. "She wanted to, I almost thought I would be beheaded the next day, but someone switched me before the execution. I don’t even know who but all I knew was that I was taken to another place in the North but I was still locked away."He pulled back, gripping my shoulders. "And you, Thomas? They said you were dead, too. What happened?"I swallowed hard, the memories clawing at my throat. “The Kin

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   The hardest Prison in the South

The sun was scorching as it beat down on the vast prison yard, dust swirling in the dry wind. The South’s biggest and hardest prison was no place for a man like Thomas. He had spent his life in luxury, waking up in silk sheets, eating the finest meals, and being waited on hand and foot, but here, comfort was a far-gone fantasy and suffering was their reality. Sweat dripped down his forehead as he swung the heavy pickaxe against the unyielding ground. His hands, once soft and uncalloused, now bled from the rough wood of the handle. His muscles ached, not used to such brutal labor, Around him, hardened criminals worked without pause, their bodies already accustomed to the endless toil.A low chuckle echoed behind him. “Look at the northern King, struggling like a newborn pup,” a voice sneered.Thomas turned, his breath heavy. Standing before him was the prisoner’s captain, a massive man with thick scars running across his arms and a jagged-toothed grin. His name was Darius, and he r
