Georgina’s POV

The cool breeze of the day touched my brushing through my face as I stepped out of the council chamber.

I closed my eyes for a moment, enjoying the silence as the sunlight shone on my face. The distant chirping of birds sends comfort through my boiling blood.

But it didn’t last long.

As I opened my eyes, I noticed someone standing in the courtyard. Pamela. Her small figure shook slightly under the pale glow of the sunlight.

I decided to ignore her and walk past her, hoping she wouldn't make any more trouble.

“Mother!” she called after me. “Wait, please!”

“Fuck,” I cussed, clenching my fists in anger.

It wouldn't matter how far I reached, Pamela would chase me till the end, it was best I stop and end her drama now.

I stopped in my tracks, crossing my arms over my chest. Her face was flushed from running, she bent down trying to catch her breath.

“What now, Pamela?” I asked, my voice cold.

She continued walking and stopped a few steps away from me, clutching her ha

GEORGINA'S POV. The sun hung low in the sky, casting warm light on the stone walls of the palace as I walked back to my chambers. My footsteps echoed softly, the only sound in the quiet halls. I scoffed loudly each second, I still couldn't believe how shameless Pamela had become, I definitely didn't raise her like this and then again she was from Thomas's seed. I let out a sharp breath, rubbing my temples. Could this day possibly get worse?I turned to the next corner, almost bumping into Dawn. His mouth fell open as he staggered backward like he had seen a ghost. This was our first meeting after I became queen back. Oh, this was so good, seeing all their faces filled with fear after what they did to me. “Forgive me, Your Majesty,” he said quickly, his voice trembling. “I didn’t mean to bump into you.”I sighed, gesturing for him to move aside, I just wanted to get to my room. “My queen,” he stopped me. I stopped in my tracks, slowly turning to him. “Alpha,” I corrected, a fa

Georgina’s POVI sat by the window in my room, the golden hues of the setting sun illuminating the chamber. Joana paced back and forth, her expression a mix of curiosity and disbelief.“You what?” she exclaimed, her eyes wide with shock.“I asked Godfrey to marry me,” I repeated, my voice calm forcing a smile as I let out a sigh. “Shocking, right?”Joana froze, then burst out laughing. “You? Bold enough to propose marriage? What has gotten into you?”“I don't know,” I said, covering my face with my hands in shame. I still can't believe I said that, right after sex. So much for an after-sex chat. “So you proposed to him right after sex?” She scoffed shaking her head in disbelief. “Who does that?”I exhaled deeply, biting my lips. “I don’t know, Joana. It just… felt right. I love him, and I was tired of holding it back, so the question just popped out,” I paused taking in deep breaths. “Now I regret it.”“Wow,” she blurted out, still staring at me in disbelief. “Don't judge me, Joan

Godfrey’s POVThe sun was just starting to rise, its golden light spilling through the windows of my room. I sat up slowly, my chest heavy with the thought of leaving Georgina behind today. David was already in the room. He moved quietly, folding clothes and placing them neatly into a leather bag on the table.“Good morning, Your Highness,” David said with a respectful bow. “I’ve started packing for your journey to the South.”I rubbed my eyes and nodded, my voice still thick from sleep. “What are you doing?” I asked.“Getting my Prince ready for his trip to see his family,” he chuckled, walking close to me. I sighed deeply, getting up from the bed. “You don't have to do it, I would have done it myself.”“I have always done all this kind of work for you, I won't stop now, besides,” he paused, sitting on the bed. “I'm grateful for what you did.”I smiled placing my hand on his shoulder. “That's what best friends are for.”During my stay with David, I learned he came to the palace to

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   Homecoming

AUTHOR'S POV. The journey South lasted three days and despite the busy conversation I had with my father, I still couldn't get my mind off Georgina and our marriage ahead. I still couldn't believe I was getting married to Georgina, the queen and my father was in support of it. I don't know why I feel so uneasy about his support of Georgina, he did say he liked her but I don't think his love was enough ti make him support the proposal. I shook my head repeatedly trying to forget the topic but it was still stuck in my head. By the evening of the third day, we finally arrived at the south, it wasn't as big as the North but it had a better and more beautiful landscape than the north. The carriage drove past the villagers, the villagers shouted in joy, some running after the carriage screaming in joy. “The South have been anticipating your return for years, look at how they are happy,” he paused, his face flickering to seriousness. “You must not fail the south or the consequences wil

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   The people's cries

Georgina's POV.The grand hall was silent, except for the faint whispers of my people gathered in the center. The light from the southern sun poured through the windows, bright and warm, yet the air felt cold. I sat on my throne, its carved wood pressing firmly against my back. The elders summoned a meeting requesting my presence, this meeting was about the villagers and I had been waiting for the day they would come. I almost gave up on that dream but the people didn't fail me. It was time the villagers got a taste of their own medicine. They would feel the fear I felt, they would beg like I did and they would suffer like I did. They should also be grateful I didn't do what my grandfather would have suggested. “Let them burn, that would bring them back to their senses.”“Your Majesty,” someone said, stepping forward. The crowd went silent staring at the man.I straightened in my seat, my gaze locking on the group of villagers standing in the middle of the chamber before slowly

Georgina's pov. I woke up slowly, my head heavy and my body aching all over. The room was quiet except for the faint crackle of a lantern. Its warm light flickered softly. "You are awake!" a voice called out suddenly. I turned my head slightly, and there she was, Joana, her familiar figure rushing toward me. She sat at my side in an instant, leaning down to wrap her arms around me tightly."You scared me," she whispered, her voice shaking. I could feel her hands trembling as they gripped me.I glanced around, removing her hands from my neck. “What happened?” I asked. “Everything just suddenly went blank.”“They had to bring you in, they said you fainted during the meeting,” she explained.“I knew it,” I frowned. “I shouldn't have eaten that fish in the morning, I was irritated.”Her eyes widened in alarm. “Since when? Do you think it was poisoned?”I shook my head, exhaling deeply. “I just didn't want to eat it.”“But you like fish.”“Of course I do,” I frowned, trying to sit up,

What kind of training?”“To connect with the South,” Garrick replied. “And to awaken your full power as a werewolf. It was very beautiful but too strict. I need some time alone. I was just a few steps away from my room when a familiar stopped me in my tracks.“Godfrey?”I turned, startled, and saw Alicia standing at the end of the hallway, a faint smile playing on her lips. I stared down at her, her green dress was glittering in the sunlight, and her long wavy hair was neatly packed. She was really beautiful, more beautiful than the prettiest girl I have seen in the North. My stomach churned. I hadn’t spoken to her since the moment my mother dropped the bombshell that she was my mate. She walked c

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   Our forever

Godfrey’s POVThe morning of our wedding arrived with the soft glow of the sun spilling across the palace grounds. The sky was clear, the air cool and fresh, filled with the scents of wildflowers and pine from the nearby forest. Our wedding wasn’t just an ordinary one…it was a sacred werewolf ceremony, a bond blessed by the Moon Goddess, witnessed by our ancestors, and celebrated by our pack. The ceremony took place in the Moonstone Glade, a magical clearing hidden deep within the forest. The ground was covered with soft green moss, and petals of white and red flowers were scattered everywhere. An arch made of silver birch branches stood tall at the center, decorated with roses. Georgina had insisted that we did our wedding here and I agreed to it. “Are you nervous?” David whispered behind me. “Because I am.”I chuckled, turning to him. “I am the groom but you look more nervous than I am.”That was a lie, my heart was on fire, and I was only faking my calmness. I paused looking around but there was nothing around that could have triggered Draco. “What happened?” I asked. I could feel Draco's rage flaring up, his growl low but dangerous. Something was wrong.I could finally feel it, something was indeed not right, I looked around studying the forest, and my eyes turned to Pamela who looked uneasy. This was a trick, a trap or a diversion. “Georgina,” I muttered, my eyes widened in alarm and without thinking, I ran back toward the mountains, my heart hammering loudly in my chest. I needed to get to Georgina immediately. I got to where I left her and Alicia and found no one, my uneasiness growing as I scanned the environment, but still no sign of them. "Your mother is dead, Pamela. Isn’t that what you wanted?"Pamela’s eyes burned with rage. “I wanted her dead,” Pamela snapped, walking closer to her. “But do you know what I wanted more? Georgina’s body lay cold in my arms, wrapped in a dark cloak, her face pale as the dead sky above us.I could not feel anything. No pain. No anger. Just emptiness.I couldn't help but feel this was my fault, I was the one that persuaded her to go on this trip and I led her to her death and worst of all I couldn't catch the culprits. I kept glancing back at her body, hoping Georgina would just get up but she didn't.The sentinels followed behind in silence, their faces grim, so we were crying loudly. The moment we stepped inside the palace, the cries increased. Ser

  • MY DAUGHTER'S MATE   The hardest Prison in the South

The sun was scorching as it beat down on the vast prison yard, dust swirling in the dry wind. The South’s biggest and hardest prison was no place for a man like Thomas. He had spent his life in luxury, waking up in silk sheets, eating the finest meals, and being waited on hand and foot, but here, comfort was a far-gone fantasy and suffering was their reality. Sweat dripped down his forehead as he swung the heavy pickaxe against the unyielding ground. His hands, once soft and uncalloused, now bled from the rough wood of the handle. His muscles ached, not used to such brutal labor, Around him, hardened criminals worked without pause, their bodies already accustomed to the endless toil.A low chuckle echoed behind him. “Look at the northern King, struggling like a newborn pup,” a voice sneered.Thomas turned, his breath heavy. Standing before him was the prisoner’s captain, a massive man with thick scars running across his arms and a jagged-toothed grin. His name was Darius, and he r
