Ethan had just stepped out of the car to meet up with one of his clients when he heard giggles. He turned his face and his eyes darkened at the sight. In his view, they looked intimate and like a couple.

Rose had a look of concern on her face as she asked Mason “Are you sure you’re okay?” And that hit him in the chest. He balled his hands into a fist and took long strides toward them.

He saw how Rose’s smile dropped the moment their gazes met and it made him realize what he had been forgetting all along, that Rose may have had other suitors lying low and waiting. Seeing her with Mason made his blood boil. Because, unlike Rose, Ethan knew that Mason had feelings for her and he hated it.

A part of him wondered if she had fallen for him too.

“Ethan? What are you doing here?” Rose asked.

“What? Is there something I shouldn’t have seen?” Ethan accused in a cold tone.

“No, that’s not what I mean,” Rose said.

“Why are you out here with a man w
