“Are you sure?” Ethan asked in a shocked voice.

“You don’t want to?” Rose asked.

Ethan stood from the sand and sat closer to Rose, he grabbed her hands in his but she pulled back. His eyes flashed with a hurt feeling but he quickly recovered,

“How can I not want? It’s the best news I’ve received this year apart from when I found you and knew I was a father.” He smiled.

“Daddy, I’m tired. Can we go back inside now?” Caleb's voice pulled them back to him but Rose knew he just wanted to play with his tablet so she responded instead,

“Mummy!” Caleb whined but Rose ignored him and Ethan only shrugged, he too was afraid of her wrath.
