Chapter 42: New behaviour

Anthony stood speechless as he watched Lerisa walk away from him to her car and then zoom off. He sighed, turned, and went back to his car, not expecting Lerisa to be giving him cold shoulders after she caught him and Benita kissing.

Anthony got into his car and asked himself, "What has come over Lerisa? She was not like this before. Hmm, anyway, let me go home first."

When Anthony arrived home, he met his mother in the living room as he stepped inside. She asked him, "Anthony... How about Lerisa? Did you meet with her today after church service?"

Anthony looked at his mother's face in silence, wanting to retreat to his bedroom upstairs.

"Yes, Mom. I met her after the closing hour," he said.

"Okay, I am just asking, as I didn't get to see her today. I hope you two are still getting along?"

"Sure, Mom. We do. I am tired now and need to go back to my room to rest," Anthony said, wanting to excuse himself from the living room.
