"Nothing. I was just thinking that I hadn't expected you to purchase the house so quick. Are you truly serious about marrying me? Don't you think that it's too early for us to marry and settle down as a couple now?" Benita inquired once more, and Anthony could sense that she didn't want to marry him.

"What's wrong, babe? Don't you want to marry me?" Anthony asked finally. The look of hurt flashing in his eyes, and Benita quickly replied, "No. Don't get me wrong, Anthony. I was only thinking that we haven't dated for long for us to settle down quickly. I mean, we were supposed to still date for at least six months plus to determine if we can be compatible. I don't know if you are understanding what I mean."

Anthony looked at Benita in disbelief. He sighed and looked away from her. His mother was right, no lady should pressure him into moving out of his parents' house and buying a house compulsorily for her.
