It Wasn't A Mistake

**Fancy's POV**

After my conversation with Kevin, I asked him to allow me a week to think things through before I give him a reply.

Kevin was indeed a gentleman. He told me he'll wait for my response and wouldn't let anyone take the vacant spot until I had given him my reply.

I can't believe this was happening. I had no hope of ever working in this field ever again. I had decided that things wouldn't get better.

I thought I should move on to a different career and had even started thinking about a few careers I can go into.

“Thank you so much, Kevin. You do not know just how much I appreciate the fact that you considered me for this, even when I know I'm not worth your wait.”

“Don't say things like that. It's the loss of those who ended your contract.”
