CHAPTER 4
TAYLOR “Your name is Taylor Anya Fitzroy and you're an orphan. You lost your parents in an accident at fifteen and your grandpa died after you graduated from high school. You're twenty two years old, you lived in an apartment which was close to where you formerly worked as a barista at a Cafe and your boyfriend… Well, now your ex-boyfriend is Malcolm Doe.” Mr Rover listed every single information about myself while he sat before me in the mansion's living room but all I could think about was the amount of blood I just witnessed out there when he shot those bodyguards in their knees and hands. “I'm sorry. I… I can't get the blood out of my head. I've n… never seen s… so much blood before. I'm really sorry” I stammered while apologizing profusely and he leaned toward me from where he sat to have a closer look at me. “As long as you're mine, you'll have to get used to that. Understood?” he told me and I nodded in fear because I couldn't bring myself to say another word. “Fernandez, take her to her room so she can get changed” he ordered the bodyguard standing behind him when I wouldn't speak and I blinked out of my trance in surprise when I heard him say that. I'd assumed that since he bought me to satisfy his sexual fantasies, he was going to take me to his room at once. “My room? I'm getting my own room?” I asked shakily as he stood up. I quickly got up to my feet too and he eyed me from head to toe when I asked him that. “Then where did you expect to sleep?” he asked me and I quickly broke eye contact with him as I nervously swallowed. Maybe I shouldn't have said anything. “Well, uh. I was told something different before I was brought here” I said vaguely and I began to wring my hands while he walked toward me. Then he stopped a foot away and I could smell his cologne and it smelt heavenly. Like burning scented wood. “And what exactly did these women say?” he asked and I swallowed again. “They said… you… we… I mean, that you bought me to satisfy you” I stammered while I searched for the right words to use. Then I peeked up at him and I was taken aback to see him looking amused at what I just said. “You mean, they told you I bought you to fuck you. Is that so?” he asked me, without using any filter on his words and a smirk played on his lips when my eyes grew wide. I just stayed mute. “Is that so, Taylor?” He asked again while taking another step toward me and I quickly bowed my head to avoid looking into his eyes since he was so dangerously close and the electricity in his blue eyes made me feel emotions so foreign. “Y, yes” I whispered an answer and I gasped when he aggressively caught my face and made me look right into his eyes. “I bought you for an entirely different reason Taylor and soon, you will know what it is but if you want to get fucked, you will have to be the one to ask for it. Then I will decide if I want to do it or not. Alright?” He told me without batting an eye and all of a sudden, I felt his thumb against my mouth. Goosebumps graced my skin while he slowly ran it over my lips, skin to skin, and I breathed softly as my mouth parted in reaction while a war ensued in my stomach. Immediately, he pulled his hand away from my face and took a step back and I found myself strangely missing the warmth of his hand and the scent of his cologne while he gave me a look I couldn't decipher. “Fernandez will keep watch over you while you stay in this house and I'll let you know when I need you” he said dismissively and with that, he was gone. While I pondered in shock, over what just happened. ********** Three weeks passed and I didn't see Mr Rover ever since the night I was bought by him. Memories of the intimate way he touched my lips played in my head every night and at the same time, I had dreams of many ways I could make Malcolm pay for betraying me but they never brought me satisfaction. Then one morning, while I had breakfast along with Fernandez in silence, I heard footsteps coming toward the dining room and I looked up to see it was Mr Rover in the flesh. My spoon fell from my hand while I stared at him in surprise because I thought he'd forgotten I existed but there he was, staring right back at me and I couldn't help but wonder why he decided to show up. He began to walk toward me and after pulling back the chair right beside me, he sat down and turned to me and I hiccuped in reaction to his stare just as Fernandez stood up and bowed his head to him. “Good morning boss” he greeted and Mr Rover waved him off in response. “Have a seat, Fernandez” he replied and Fernandez sat down immediately. “Um, g…good morning, Mr Rover” I greeted and he shook his head. “It's Michael Rover. Just call me Michael, alright?” He told me and I gulped again because I couldn't see myself calling him so informally. Not when he scared me so much. “So today, you're going to act as my girlfriend because you're going to meet my father. Okay?” he said and I blinked so many times in disbelief when I heard him say the word ‘girlfriend’ to me. “I'm going to be your girlfriend?” I asked to be sure I heard him correctly the first time and he nodded nonchalantly like it wasn't a big deal. How could he be so carefree about something so delicate?CHAPTER 99MICHAEL Fernandez brought the car to a halt once I arrived at my father's mansion. Then he got the door for me and I stopped out of the car.Adjusting my suit, I took a good look at the building before me and I couldn't help but wonder what my father's decision about Carlos was going to be.“Wait here, Fernandez. I know this is going to be quick” I told him and he nodded his head.“Okay boss” he replied and with that, I walked into the house. He was seated by the wine bar and waiting for me while he had a glass of wine. So I sat beside him and he gestured for the man behind the bar to pour me a drink.“He shouldn't bother. I'm not in the mood for a drink” I dismissed the offer and he looked at me. “Then what are you in the mood for?” He asked me and I sighed.“I want to know what you discovered about Carlos's dealings during his honeymoon and how you intend to resolve the whole situation” I replied without batting an eye and he smiled.“You've always been the serious one”
CHAPTER 98 TAYLOR The entire journey back home was quiet and the tension hanging in the air was killing me. I had no idea what to say to Michael after his reaction back in the hotel and I had one burning question on my mind until we reached the penthouse and went to our separate rooms… Did I say something wrong? It felt like we were back to square one. Back to the way things were when we were both so distant to each other and lacked basic communication skills. All I wished for was him to tell what bothered him so much about Carlos's dealings but I guess I touched a soft spot with my words and now, he wouldn't even look at me. After dropping my luggage in the closet and having a quick shower, I wore a simple dress and grabbed a brush to comb through my hair but then I heard Michael open the door to his room and I wondered if he was leaving to see his dad already. Quickly, I rushed out of my room, hair brush in hand and true to my thoughts, he was about to leave without saying a
CHAPTER 97TAYLORBreakfast was… eventful. Michael did quite a lot to me, especially with his tongue and I could say that I saw heaven one too many times to count. Then we went for a walk at the poolside and seeing him in only shorts under the sun was a magnificent sight for my eyes to feed on. He looked perfect. As we stood by the poolside, a hotel staff walked up to us and handed a phone over to Michael and we both looked at her questioningly. “What's the call for?” Michael asked her while taking his glasses off to have a better look at her and she smiled awkwardly.“Sorry for the interruption but the person on the other line says it's urgent. He said to tell you to take it… it's your father, Mr Rover” She explained and immediately Michael heard the name, he took the phone from her and excused himself to speak to his father.Soon, he returned, his face filled with worry and I frowned when I read his expression. “Hey, what's the matter? You look disturbed” I told him and he pinche
CHAPTER 96TAYLORI grumbled when the alarm rang because I wasn’t ready for the day to start yet. Then it stopped, and when I opened my eyes, I saw Michael watching me. Quickly, I covered my face with a blanket as memories from the previous night returned, and he chuckled.“Good morning, love. I hope you had a great sleep,” he teased with his question, and I felt my face getting warm as I struggled to find the words to say in return.“You know t’s just me and you, right? You dont have to be shy or squirm before me” he said before grabbing the blanket ad pulling it down and we stared at each other in silence.“Taylor… you’re all red and flushed. I never thought you’d be this shy afterward” he said while eyeing me and I palmed my face which caused him to laugh.“We were intimate for the first time, Michael. It’s normal for me to be shy afterward,” I returned, and I suddenly felt his warm breath on my face. So I took my hand down only to catch him leaning in, and I blushed even more.“Wh
CHAPTER 95TAYLOR Michael kissed me like he was starving. The way he held my face, the way he kept me pulling me closer and closer until I could feel the warmth from his body and the way my insides roared for him… all of them made me realize I was ready.I soon pulled away from the kiss when I needed air and his parted lips glistened as we both panted hard, our chests heaving up and down while we struggled for air.“Michael…” I stopped after calling his name and bowed my head. I was suddenly feeling shy and I didn't know if I could bring myself to tell him what I had to say. But I knew I had to say it because it was the only way he would know what I wanted.Softly, he cradled my face and raised my head to look at him and my eyes briefly fell on his lips when he licked them. Heavens knew how much I desperately wanted him to ravish me.“What is ur, Taylor. It's just me and you so speak to me” he urged and I sighed as I felt my face turn hot.“I'm kind of shy right now. I'm trying to fi
CHAPTER 94TAYLORMichael was awfully quiet throughout our drive back to the hotel, and his reaction made me wonder if I’d perhaps said the wrong thing while answering his father’s questions… or maybe I shouldn’t have spoken at all. Maybe that was why he was mad at me.We arrived at the hotel and he still didn't say a word as he got the door for me and helped me out of the car. Then we headed to our room, and as we walked in, he grabbed the hotel phone and ordered dinner for us.“Are you mad at me?” I asked him as I remained by the door and he looked at me, his face etched with a frown.“Why would you think that?” He asked, and I walked toward the vanity to take off my jewelry.“Well, for starters, you're frowning. So you look mad” I said as I took off my necklace and I could feel his eyes on my back as he stood on the same spot.“And?” He inquired, and I looked at him through the mirror before me.“You didn't speak to me since we left your father. Did I say something wrong or did I p
