Eric’s POV

Phoebe is fast asleep. It was bound to happen. I hit her hard enough to make sure of that.

Back at the resort, no one was in favor of what I did to her. But I didn’t care.

She’s my woman, and I have a say in whatever happens between us. I’m sure the first thing she’ll ask is, "Where is Lucas?"

She always cares more about others than herself. Sometimes, I find it annoying and unnecessary.

I left everyone there. I apologized to Caleb and Lora. I still don’t understand why Andrew is so mad at me.

He doesn’t pick up my calls. He’s ignoring me again. Strangely, I think he doesn’t want me and Phoebe to get back together.

I know why, and I understand.

Phoebe shifts in her sleep. She’s finally awake.
