She laughed softly and got down and laid beside him and said "ok if you say so, but to be clear I wasn't avoiding you. I just had many things on my plate".

"Like getting married for example," he said facing her as she turned to face him too.

"Wow I didn't know you were smart, hmmm you're not entirely wrong but I don't need to explain anything to you," she said to him with a smile.
