RUBY'S POV

It was easy to get a good parking spot when I arrived at Dax's company and when I got to the entrance this time, I was welcomed warmly by the security because everyone knew who I was and what I was to Dax ever since the last time I came to his office.

I cast the security a brief smile before making my way into the elevator and pressing the button to the first floor. Then I took my phone out of my bag and dialed Dax's number and he picked up on the first ring.

I smiled to myself on realizing he must have been waiting for my call and it felt exhilarating once again to know I had a man who was that crazy over me. It felt new and exciting… It made me feel special.

“Hello darling, are you on your way to the company already or are you still home? I could come and get you once I'm done with this meeting if you want” he spoke first and I grinned helplessly while my stomach fluttered furiously.
