BEAT TO DEATH

Suddenly a knock came on the door. It startled her, giving her a jump.

“Ye…yes…who..who is it?”

“It's Devia,my lady”.

The voice answered.

“Devia? The maid assigned to me?”

Angela thought,her head aches like crazy. She had to put her head down on an elevated pillow.

“Come in”.

Devia opened the door,she was carrying a box, and a small plastic sachet.

“How are you doing today my lady?”

Devia inquired with a bow.

Angela managed to smile.

“I am feeling a lot better today,my head still aches though”.

“I..have your drugs…I hope you get well soonest”.

Angela smiled back.

“Thank you”.

She gave her the plastic sachet.

“The coloured pills,the doctor said it works as a sleeping pill too,so you don't be surprised if you fall asleep after taking it”.

“Oh..should I? I think Mr Anthonio won't permit me to just fall asleep,he said I should wait for him”.

“Actually he was the one who asked me to come,he said you are yet to fully recover,I should make sure you take your medicine”.
