HELPLESS

To Angela's surprise Antonio didn’t put up any more protests as she led him towards the bed, she gently eased him down on the large bed in the dim light, his skin was now slick with sweat.

He was silent and didn't say another word.

Angela sighed as she watched him shivering.

First I need to get his temperature down, let me try dousing him with cold water, she thought.

She went away and returned to the bedroom armed with a pocket of cold water and a small towel, she dropped them on his bed side and went ahead to open up the windows.

The sky has gotten darker.

Antonio on the other side, watched her beneath lowered eyelids.

His temperature was so hot, yet his body was shivering uncontrollably, he couldn't even open his eyes widely.

Angela got closer to him, she could still feel the heat pumping off his body, and also he was sweating profusely, so much that his pants got soaked.

She turned to look at him and found him watching her quietly, he looked like he had a lot to say but
