CHAPTER 102

~3RD PERSON’S POV~

Gabriella’s growls slowly became quiet as her eyes widened. She lifted her paws off Derren's body and moved away from him slowly. The images of the name on the card during her test in the tower flashed in her head. Derren, who still had a smile on his face, got up from the ground and walked toward her slowly, and Steven watched in silence.

Gabriella stared at Derren for a moment and suddenly ran back through the hole in the wall.

“Hey, where are you going?” Derren yelled, watching her disappear into the darkness of the passage. He turned back to Steven after she was gone and asked.

“What is Meredith doing in your building?"

“You mean Gabriella? She works for me as my personal maid; who is she to you?” Steven asked.

Derren turned to the passage again and replied softly, “She’s my sister.”

Gabriella ran through the passages, searching for the hideout the other girls had gone to. Her eyes still had traces of confusion in them, as she couldn’t wrap her

Many of the maids who came by to get their meals asked the same question that even I didn’t know the answer to: Where was Clarabelle? It had already been a few days since she stabbed me, and she still hadn’t come out of hiding. If only I knew where she went...If only I knew where she went.“It’s just not the same without Clarabelle around; don’t you think we should try to look for her?” I asked whichever of the two girls cared to listen. Christine picked up a tray of parboiled rice and walked over to the counter, replying,"Look, I understand that you’re worried about Clarabelle, and yes, we should be making attempts to look for her, but we were just servants. How in the world are we going to find her? We don’t even know where she went.”I let out a sigh, then turned to Marie. “Marie, what do you think?” I asked her.“You want to know what I think? I think there are two possibil

My face grew red as I stared at him, and without thinking, I slammed my leg into his stomach. The attack sent him flying into a tree nearby, and as his back hit it, he groaned in pain.“What the heck was that for?” he yelled, getting back on his feet. I leaned forward and placed my hands on my knees, breathing heavily.“I’m sorry, I just need to... catch my breath,” I replied.“What? You’ve been standing in one place since you came here; why are you breathing so much? And is that steam coming out of your head?” Steven asked, walking back toward me.“I just… I just didn’t expect all this. I’ve been waiting for you to feel the mate bond for a while, and now you have. I’m still in shock. Hold on a second, will you?” I replied. Still letting out slow breaths. The moment he revealed that he had gotten all the memories of his second personality, something about him changed. That den

He turned to her, then turned back to the three girls.“We shouldn’t disturb the process. Let’s just wait and see what happens,” he replied. From his voice, Gabriella could tell he was also unsure of what to do. They both watched the girls glow brightly for a few minutes, their hairs flowing around like a heavy wind blew from underneath them. After a while, Marie spoke.“My last moments of sanity are near; my mind is going blurry, and I have begun to forget important things in my life. The information on this page is one I have been told not to reveal to anyone, but alas, it is too heavy for my heart alone to carry. When the old woman arrived at my gates, she gave instructions that would set the stage for an event I did not understand at first: a watcher, one who would stand before the doors until the day their purpose was revealed. She asked that no one from the Mo

Don’t you... don’t you love me?” Gabriella asked, tears filling her eyes again.“Can’t you see? If we get married, you’ll die. It’s all been leading to this; this is why the little girl named Margret chose you to solve the mystery; this is why you were able to pick up that gem stone only the moon goddess herself could touch; it’s this same reason the heralds found their way to you. This is why we're mates. It's all so that you’ll get married to me and become a Mortimer; once you do, the holy event starts, and you’ll be used as the sacrifice,” Steven explained.Gabriella remained quiet for a moment, pondering Steven's

After a few seconds, the forest, which Marie disintegrated with her explosion, started growing again. The trees rose slowly from within the grounds, and the thick fog spread to their stems. The forest grew to its original size, then grew larger. It continued to grow until it was three times the size it once was. There was a large circle at the center of the forest, and a young lady stood there: Clarabelle. At a glance, a person who knew Clarabelle before could easily tell that this was no longer the same Clarabelle.Everything about her had changed. She stood quietly with her eyes shut as the c

After today, this boutique will become the most popular in Mystic Meadows and the entire world.” One of the younger women who waited at the door said.“It already is, Mary. They had been waiting for Marie and the others to return for hours, but there was no sign of them returning at all.Clarabelle did well to protect everyone from the intense heat, and now that the sun had moved away from the earth, she was sure that Marie and her friends had won the battle. In fact, as the Immortal of Fate, she already knew they would win, and she already knew who would bring that victory, but she wasn't allowed to say a word to anyone. What she wasn't sure of was if they had survived or not, because she refused to look that far into the future.“Do you think they'll return safely?” Maria asked with worry in her voice. She has lost her husband before and was very afraid of losing him again.Clarabelle turned to her and saw the worry in her eyes, then turned away. “Let’s just be hopeful,” she said softly. A f

CHAPTER 307~3RD PERSON’S POV~Marie and her sisters, Cortana and Yuna, sat inside a large metal dome created by Angela. Angla had created multiple domes like this to accommodate the entire army of Vedantya, and this was because the temperature of the atmosphere has risen to an unbearable level. Daniella used her manipulation of heat to cool down the domes so the occupants wouldn't die of heat stroke. The air around the domes looked like it had been stained with gasoline fumes, and rocks around them had begun melting.Valerie tried again and again to open a portal but failed every single time. The spell that blocked her ability to use spatial magic wasn't very powerful but was somehow too complex for her to undo. It was like the spell reformed itself at light speed every time she broke it, and there was no way of stopping it.“This is bad. If we stay here longer than this, the whole world is going to melt down,” Angela said with worry on her face.“No, we can't give up yet; I'm sure I

CHAPTER 306~3RD PERSON’S POV~“What have you done to me?!!” Agnes yelled with a gory voice.“I poisoned you, Agnes. Ordinarily, poison wouldn't be enough to kill a witch like you, but depending on how powerful the poison is, it would be enough to weaken you. The souls of the fallen Immortals despise you, Agnes. But as much as they want to escape, as souls, they're not nearly strong enough to go against the spell you put on them. It's just like Sabbath and Mary; without Mary's body, Sabbath can't use his power. So, without Agnes's body, the immortals are weak to her spells. But spells require serious mental concentration and physical reinforcement to hold together, and once those two things weaken, the spell comes apart and the souls of the Immortals have their chance to escape.” Agnes gripped her stomach tightly as she felt an agonizing pain coming up. She bled from her nose and mouth as the souls of all the Immortals began seeping out of her body and flying off. “After the Immor

All four of them still had that eerie smile on their faces, and their eyes still glowed bright red, making them look like their minds were being controlled. They walked into the glass building and led Mary to a magical elevator that didn’t require electricity to work. Mary had her guard up, prepared to launch an attack at anyone who tried to annoy her. At this moment, she was already very pissed off, and anyone who tried to attack her now would be walking into their grave. The elevator door closed and started to rise up the building. Everyone was unusually quiet, and none of Mary’s escorts wanted to make eye contact with her. Mary watched them through the glass wall in front of her—they looked like dolls, stiff and lifeless, like they had been programmed to only move when they were given orders. The elevator rose for over tw

It didn't matter what the team did or what amount of power they used; the Asuras just kept coming like an endless sea of stars. The Asuras armor-like skin had become so strong that Edith's blade and Anima Morning Star both broke on impact. The two Immortals had to summon their weapons again and again during the fight just to avoid getting killed. They had to look for a new way to kill these Immortals, and that way was to attack them at points where their armour didn't cover—the gaps in the skin that revealed their glowing orange flesh. Targeting these parts was especially difficult for the werewolves because they didn't have long-range weapons, and getting too close t
