CHAPTER 106

~3RD PERSON’S POV~

“Gabriella Montgomery, I reject you."

“What?” Gabriella asked softly, stepping away from Steven with shock on her face.

“I’m sorry… but we can’t be together. If we get married, you'll...” Steven was about to speak when Gabriella suddenly yelled,

“I’LL WHAT?”

“Steven, you can’t do this to me. I waited for you all my life; you can’t reject me. Don’t you... don’t you love me?” Gabriella asked, tears filling her eyes again.

“Can’t you see? If we get married, you’ll die. It’s all been leading to this; this is why the little girl named Margret chose you to solve the mystery; this is why you were able to pick up that gem stone only the moon goddess herself could touch; it’s this same reason the heralds found their way to you. This is why we're mates. It's all so that you’ll get married to me and become a Mortimer; once you do, the holy event starts, and you’ll be used as the sacrifice,” Steven explained.

You created a plot that would end up harming an innocent girl. She had nothing to gain from the start,” Lilith continued, the chains around her snapping one by one.“Whether her mate rejected her or not, she was bound to lose everything in the end—her friends, her love, her home. Now she’ll forever wander the new world I will bring alone until she’s consumed by my infinite darkness…” she concluded.“The power I used to bind you here might not be enough anymore, but I assure you, you will lose. The power of good will always triumph over evil." Eva’s voice sounded softly.Lilith laughed as the last chain broke. “Until good has enough power to trium

After a few seconds, the forest, which Marie disintegrated with her explosion, started growing again. The trees rose slowly from within the grounds, and the thick fog spread to their stems. The forest grew to its original size, then grew larger. It continued to grow until it was three times the size it once was. There was a large circle at the center of the forest, and a young lady stood there: Clarabelle. Her hair had gone completely black, and her eyes looked lifeless. She wore a black, loose robe that looked like a traditional Japanese kimono and had black lipstick on. At a glance, a person who knew Clarabelle before could easily tell that this was no longer the same Clarabelle.Everything about her had changed. She stood quietly with her eyes shut as the c

Some maids came by with their breakfast, and Gabriella answered.“Well, a lot has happened since you left the Mortimer mansion, and I alone could never be able to explain it all, so I’m just going to give you the most important details.”Anaya put down her cup of coffee and leaned forward. “Go on.”“I found my mate, and for a while I thought we were actually becoming really close, but he ended up rejecting me. I didn’t know what else to do, so I ran away from the mansion so I’d never see him again,” Gabriella said.“Oh my, that’s terrible; why would he do such a thing?” Anaya asked, walking to Gabriella’s side.“Well, it’s a little complicated; that’s the part I can’t really explain alone,” Gabriella replied."Whatever the reason, you’re welcome to stay

Multiple women waited outside the doors of the building with smiles on their faces, some trying their best to contain the excitement that boiled within them.Edith usually does all the shopping for Anaya, but today, Anaya was at their store herself to buy clothes. It was an honor for the humans who worked here and a blessing from the moon goddess for the werewolves.“I can’t believe Lady Anaya called herself to have the entire store closed for her. After today, this boutique will become the most popular in Mystic Meadows and the entire world.” One of the younger women who waited at the door said.“It already is, Mary. But Anaya being here definitely is something. You’re a hard worker; this might be your one opportunity to make a name for yourself. So, behave,” an older woman who stood beside her said. The young girl smiled at the woman, then turned back to the coach.“Are you really sure about this?

Mary stared at her for a moment, then turned back to Gabriella. “She’s gorgeous,” she said softly.“Hi, sorry about that. The crowd wouldn’t let me get through,” Gabriella said, struggling to walk toward them.“What’s wrong with your legs?” Mary asked.“Oh, it’s this dress. I feel like my legs are tied together, so it’s really hard to move,” Gabriella answered.“Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it, because this is the kind of dress you’ll be wearing henceforth. In fact, as the Immortal of Fate, she already knew they would win, and she already knew who would bring that victory, but she wasn't allowed to say a word to anyone. What she wasn't sure of was if they had survived or not, because she refused to look that far into the future.“Do you think they'll return safely?” Maria asked with worry in her voice. CHAPTER 307~3RD PERSON’S POV~Marie and her sisters, Cortana and Yuna, sat inside a large metal dome created by Angela. Angla had created multiple domes like this to accommodate the entire army of Vedantya, and this was because the temperature of the atmosphere has risen to an unbearable level. Daniella used her manipulation of heat to cool down the domes so the occupants wouldn't die of heat stroke. The air around the domes looked like it had been stained with gasoline fumes, and rocks around them had begun melting.Valerie tried again and again to open a portal but failed every single time. The spell that blocked her ability to use spatial magic wasn't very powerful but was somehow too complex for her to undo. It was like the spell reformed itself at light speed every time she broke it, and there was no way of stopping it.“This is bad. If we stay here longer than this, the whole world is going to melt down,” Angela said with worry on her face.“No, we can't give up yet; I'm sure I

CHAPTER 306~3RD PERSON’S POV~“What have you done to me?!!” Agnes yelled with a gory voice.“I poisoned you, Agnes. Ordinarily, poison wouldn't be enough to kill a witch like you, but depending on how powerful the poison is, it would be enough to weaken you. The souls of the fallen Immortals despise you, Agnes. But as much as they want to escape, as souls, they're not nearly strong enough to go against the spell you put on them. It's just like Sabbath and Mary; without Mary's body, Sabbath can't use his power. So, without Agnes's body, the immortals are weak to her spells. But spells require serious mental concentration and physical reinforcement to hold together, and once those two things weaken, the spell comes apart and the souls of the Immortals have their chance to escape.” Agnes gripped her stomach tightly as she felt an agonizing pain coming up. She bled from her nose and mouth as the souls of all the Immortals began seeping out of her body and flying off. “After the Immor

All four of them still had that eerie smile on their faces, and their eyes still glowed bright red, making them look like their minds were being controlled. They walked into the glass building and led Mary to a magical elevator that didn’t require electricity to work. Mary had her guard up, prepared to launch an attack at anyone who tried to annoy her. At this moment, she was already very pissed off, and anyone who tried to attack her now would be walking into their grave. The elevator door closed and started to rise up the building. Everyone was unusually quiet, and none of Mary’s escorts wanted to make eye contact with her. Mary watched them through the glass wall in front of her—they looked like dolls, stiff and lifeless, like they had been programmed to only move when they were given orders. The elevator rose for over tw

It didn't matter what the team did or what amount of power they used; the Asuras just kept coming like an endless sea of stars. The Asuras armor-like skin had become so strong that Edith's blade and Anima Morning Star both broke on impact. The two Immortals had to summon their weapons again and again during the fight just to avoid getting killed. They had to look for a new way to kill these Immortals, and that way was to attack them at points where their armour didn't cover—the gaps in the skin that revealed their glowing orange flesh. Targeting these parts was especially difficult for the werewolves because they didn't have long-range weapons, and getting too close t
