~3RD PERSON’S POV~

Edith Mortem's eyes swung open, and she drew in a long, heavy breath, like she had just risen out of a pool of water. She sat up, breathing slowly and softly as she looked around the room she was in. To her surprise, her body no longer felt hot, and her fever was completely gone—in fact, now she felt even stronger than before.

She raised her palms and flexed her fingers for a few seconds, then dropped them again and raised her head.

She pulled the blanket off her body, then got off the bed. She was still wearing the dress she arrived in Mystic Meadow with—a black and white-themed maid dress with a knee-length skirt and short sleeves. She put on her leather shoes and walked over to the door.

Edith walked out of the room and through a passage, her eyes darting around in an attempt to figure out where she was in the building. This house almost looked like Anaya's, but a lot of things were different. As she walked through the passage, she met a maid on the
