"I said I have found my mate," Jefferson replied slowly.
"Hun! Your mate?" Abigail looked surprised.
"Yeah, my mate. Is there anything wrong with it?" Jefferson replied.
"No, it just sounded funny to me. You and I both know we've been cursed by the moon goddess never to find our mate," Abigail replied.
"Cursed!" Jefferson frowned.
Abigail laughed seeing Her brother's confused face. "That's not what I mean. What I mean is that all these days you've been looking for your mate, you've never met her and now you are telling me you've found your mate." She replied.
"Anything wrong with it?" Jefferson asked. He was wondering why his sister was behaving this way.
He had expected her to be happy when she heard the news that he found his mate but here she was. He didn't know if maybe she was happy or not. He couldn't read her emotions.
No matter how he tried he had never been able to read his sister's emotions on her face as she always kept an expressionless face.
"Is she a human or a supernatural being," Abigail asked slowly.
"A human," Jefferson shrugged his shoulders.
"Haaa!"
Abigail laughed. "You found your mate a human and you accepted her. Those weak creatures. What were you even thinking?" Abigail laughed.
"Sis, what are you insinuating? That I'm not supposed to accept a human as my mate?" Jefferson asked, looking surprised.
"Yeah, I'll tell you. Humans are never to be trusted. They are weak, greedy for wealth, and untrustworthy. They don't deserve trust," Abigail said.
"Sis, what are you saying? Why are you so against me mating with a human? She's my mate for heaven's sake," Jefferson replied.
He wouldn't have bothered to reply to his sister if she was drunk because he knew she was drunk. But now that she was able to bypass the alcohol effects and was sane he knew she meant every single word she was saying.
Abigail laughed after she heard her brother's reply. "Jeff, you still don't know anything about the world so be careful. By the way, you should come and meet up with this girl I had wanted you to meet up with. She's nice," Abigail said.
Jefferson looked at his sister confusedly. Just now she was saying she was against him mating to a human and here she was telling him to meet someone she liked. He knew most of his sister's friends were human. Most of the time he would be the one to go pick up his sister at the party when she became drunk.
He had always tried to stop her from drinking but to no avail, she wouldn't stop.
It was not that his sister was an irresponsible person or that she didn't know what she was doing, she didn't just want to be involved with anything that has to do with the pack.
Though she would help give Jefferson some advice and also sisterly advice anytime he needs it.
Jefferson couldn't help but wonder why his sister hated his mate even without seeing her.
"Sis, allow me to take you to your room," Jefferson said to his sister.
"No, I can go myself," Abigail replied and staggered through the corridor.
She was only able to suppress the effects of the alcohol for a short period and wasn't able to do anything else.
Seeing his sister's drunken state return Jefferson could not help but shake his head and pick her up carrying her in a bridal style.
She was the only relative he had and had been very overprotective of her since the time he was old enough to do so.
He always didn't mind if she was his elder sister as he would protect her in any place not caring if she was right or wrong.
He had once almost gone on a killing spree when he went to pick her up from a club and found two guys trying to molest her cause she was drunk.
He had beaten the hell out of the two guys trying to molest her and almost killed them on the spot. Luckily his sister was able to suppress the effects of the alcohol in time to stop him. If not he would have bathed the entire club in blood that night.
Abigail protested a little when she was carried by her younger brother. Though she loved him and had always wanted the best for him she couldn't help but be surprised and a little unhappy when she heard he found his mate and that she was a human. There was this girl she had found and was sure her brother would like her very much. But now that he found his mate it was unlikely that he wouldn't agree to her request.
She had thought her brother would never find his mate as the moon goddess didn't give him one like the way she was. Though she has never searched for her mate.
She soon fell asleep in his arms as she felt comfortable. Also, she was tired as it had been quite a long day for her too. Though she had been partying all day she felt that it was stressful.
Jefferson looked at his sister who had fallen asleep in his arms and sighed.
He knew she was going to make hell for his mate in the pack. He just hoped that she wouldn't try anything funny to hurt him.
But then he trusted his sister she would never try to hurt his mate in any way. Though she might make the pack a living hell for her she would try to kill his mate and he was sure of that.
Soon he got to his sister's room. Entering her room he placed her on the king-sized bed. The room was not far from his. Also, it was painted pink and it reeked of girl's perfume. A saint he didn't like. There was a glass in the corner by the side of the room and there was a table placed in front and there were a lot of makeup items on the table. Apart from that everything inside this room was just like his bedroom.
Jefferson couldn't help but twitch his nose as he placed his sister on her bed. He wondered why his sister always had to put on makeup anytime she was going out. She was a natural beauty and using makeup was something he considered a waste of time. He had always tried to talk her out of it but she was always like you wouldn't understand until you are in my place.
Pushing this thought to the back of his mind. He uses the quilt to cover her as he smiles before walking out of the room.
He could hear his sister's regulated breathing as he walked out.
"Time to get back to business," Jefferson muttered and disappeared.

.......
Inside Jefferson's room. DeLorna was sleeping soundly inside the room. On her face was a smile that showed she was enjoying her sleep. She occasionally turned around on the bed while squeezing the quilt on her body tightly.Suddenly the smile on her face changed to a frown. The frown became deeper and deeper and deeper until it turned into a frightening expression. Some minutes later DeLorna screamed as she sat on the bed while holding the quilt tightly. Her heart pounded heavily that it could be heard and her breathing was irregular."What was that just now?" She muttered.Though she wasn't able to have a clear glimpse of it. It scared the hell out of her.Suddenly screams and yells from people outside the room DeLorna was brought back to her senses.Immediately she jumped out of the bed.Immediately her legs touched the ground, a smearing pain spread through her entire body, and she could not help but fall back to the floor.DeLorna gritted her teeth as she managed to stand up with
Soon a fierce fight was ignited between the two figures. The lycanthrope seemed to have the upper hand and was trashing the creature.Suddenly Jefferson in his lycanthrope form made a mistake and the creature used the opportunity to grab him by his neck, throwing him away. The creature didn't leave a breathing chance for Jefferson and disappeared toward him. Lifting him with a hand he threw him over again after raining some punches on him.DeLorna watched on in horror as this happened. She wanted to help but she was too weak to do so. There was no strength in her body. When she tried to stand up the pain would come back and cruise through her body and the headache would suddenly come back again. She could only watch as the creature trashed Jefferson.Suddenly the creature grabbed Jefferson and threw him across the distance.DeLorna watched in horror as the lycanthrope flew across the distance. What made her cringe was that there was a harp pole right where he was going to land. She wa
DeLorna frowned hearing the reply of the strange figure that barged into the room."Who are you?" She asked again."As I have always said. Humans are brainless and spineless Individuals," the figure replied walking closer to DeLorna.DeLorna sat on the bed confused. She wondered what she had done to offend the figure. Though she was sure the figure was a female. She tried to make out the figure's features but it was too dark and she couldn't see anything."Who do you think you are? Coming into my brother's life and claiming you are his mate." The figure continued after some time.Unknown to DeLorna the figure was only a few meters away from her.Immediately DeLorna understood all that was happening. The figure she couldn't make out its features was Jefferson's sister. But she didn't know if she was his elder or younger sister. Also, he never mentioned having a sister or anything."It was your brother who came into my life himself and told him I was his mate," DeLorna replied boldly.A
DeLorna who couldn't breathe well because of the murderous intent suddenly felt it disperse and she gasped for breath. She looked by her side and noticed that the female was at the edge of the bed. The figure had red hair flowing down her back like a peaceful lake. Her face was flawless and there were some traces of water on it. Her blue eyes shone brightly. The figure looked like Jefferson. The resemblance was obvious that she guessed right away that the figure that had been talking to her all along was her mate's sister. Though she had already thought so she wasn't sure and was just speculating. She looked over to the door and saw Jefferson standing by the door looking at his sister.Jefferson, who had cut off the mind link after telling his mate he would be back soon, suddenly frowned. He could sense danger. Though the feeling was strong he felt something was wrong but decided to ignore the feeling. After some minutes the feeling came back. This time he couldn't endure it and stood
"Aren't you going to sleep? It's still a long time before daybreak," Jefferson said looking into DeLorna's eyes."I don't feel like sleeping," DeLorna pouted."Why?" Jefferson frowned."Because I'm afraid I might have a bad dream," DeLorna replied softly."Don't worry dear you won't have any bad dreams just sleep," Jefferson smiled patting DeLorna on the head."Cuddle me to sleep," DeLorna said, looking at Jefferson.Though her heart was beating very fast at the moment as she said those words. She had just said it thinking Jefferson would refuse. Though she didn't love him the first time she met him. But when he told her she was his mate she began to grow the seed of love for him in her heart and it had successfully grown into a tree inside her heart.Jefferson looked surprised to hear DeLorna's request. Though it sounded strange to him he still complied and tried to cuddle her.But Jefferson was someone who had never been close to a female except his sister. So he didn't know how to
DeLorna who was getting ready to explain sighed in displeasure. Why had Abigail come to ruin this good time? They were just getting started.Jefferson smiled seeing DeLorna's displeasure. "Don't worry am all yours we'll have a lot of time to do this." He smiled getting off the bed.Though he too was reluctant to answer his sister because she came at the wrong time. But there was something in her tone that suggested urgency so he had no choice but to reply.Getting off the bed he straightened his messed-up clothes and arranged his hair while wiping off the lipstick on his lips and walking to the door.Opening the door he met his sister waiting for him."What took you so long? You reek of her sent. What in hell were you two doing?" Abigail sniffed immediately after Jefferson came out.Jefferson rubbed his head in embarrassment and didn't know what to say."Anyway, leave that. Your attention is needed outside. A pack member was attacked by one of those measly hunters. I wouldn't have com
The pack members all had shocked expressions on their faces. They were murmuring amongst themselves. How in hell had their Alpha found his mate? Not to talk about the fact that she was a human. They didn't want to agree with his words. But they knew their Alpha he never jokes when it came to the mating bond issues or important issues. They knew how strong their Alpha was and they expected his mate also to be strong. But here she was a weakling. They didn't want to accept the fact that their Alpha was mated to a weakling.Abigail looked at the pack members' shocked expressions. She could tell they weren't satisfied with what Jefferson had told them and didn't want to believe it."In the future, she'll have the highest position in the pack right after me as my Luna so you should all respect her," Jefferson said, feeling satisfied with himself.Immediately another gasp spread around the crowd as they couldn't believe their ears. They couldn't believe their Alpha was giving a weakling the
DeLorna looked terrified when she heard the gunshot and shivered on the spot. She didn't know what to do as she could only watch as Jefferson and Abigail took a fighting stance.Soon rustling of leaves was heard and the trees swayed as the wind blew gently.Suddenly some human figures emerged from the trees and surrounded the three of them.Seeing this Jefferson and Abigail loosened their guard and looked at the hunters carelessly."I knew you would come once the news got to you." A husky voice suddenly said and a tall but muscular figure emerged from the trees."I see you've captured another human to be used as your playing thing." The figure continued."My brother does no such thing," Abigail growled in anger hearing the words of the man."Don't worry I'll study you well once you are captured." The man said licking his lips while glancing at Abigail's hot body as she was wearing pajamas at that moment."Well that's if you'll live long enough to be able to do that," Abigail smirked.
