Chapter 6: ABIGAIL

Some minutes later a large figure appeared in front of a room. It was Jefferson in his lycanthrope form with DeLorna in his arms.

Immediately he changed back to his human form because the entrance to the room was small for only a human.

After changing to his human form Jefferson walked into the room looking around.

The room was a large one painted white. There was a king-sized bed by the left side of the room and a wardrobe.

There was also a toilet and bathroom inside the room. The room was designed luxuriously.

But Jefferson was already used to these luxuries as he walked and placed DeLorna on the bed.

He looked at her peaceful face before smiling. He used his hands to gently part away her hair covering her face. He was so attracted to her red lips that he couldn't help but bend a little and kiss the lips.

Immediately he kissed her lips, he could see a smile on her face. It was as if she was having a good dream. Seeing this he smiled and walked to the wardrobe to get dressed.

Some minutes later he was clad in a white shirt and black jeans. He looked at the peaceful face of his mate.

Again he couldn't help but to go near her and kiss her. She was just too beautiful to resist.

He would have watched over her until she woke up but he had other pending matters he had to attend to, hopefully, he'll be able to get back before she woke up he didn't know when he would be back but he was sure it wouldn't take long.

Thinking of this he sighed and walked out of the room even though he wanted to be with her he had to go.

Walking out of the room he turned to the guards.

"Don't allow anyone to enter the room." He commanded.

"Yes, Alpha," The two guards replied and bowed.

Jefferson smiled and walked away.

"And who's in that room you are so anxious to protect that you ordered the guards not to allow anyone inside without exception." A voice sounded behind Jefferson just after he took some steps.

Immediately Jefferson heard the voice he stopped in his tracks and sighed. "Abigail, you are back." He said.

"Don't you want me to be back? It seems like you were disappointed with my early return." The voice replied.

Jefferson sighed and turned to face his sister. She was a woman who had long red hair that flowed behind her back like a gentle stream. Her blue eyes glowed brightly in the dark corridor. There was a lot of makeup on her face.

It was obvious she was coming back from somewhere.

"I thought you were still hanging out with your friends," Jefferson replied walking towards Abigail.

Abigail was Jefferson's elder sister. The only family he had left in the world. Ever since their parents had died due to a mysterious cause. Abigail had always been taking care of Jefferson until he was old enough to take up the alpha role.

Once Jefferson took up the alpha role Abigail left everything to him to take care of. Since then she has been either partying with her friends or going shopping.

"So you don't want me to be back? What are you hiding from your dear sister?" Abigail said walking towards Jefferson while reeking of alcohol.

It was obvious she was drunk from the way she staggered towards Jefferson.

Jefferson shook his head seeing his sister's state. He knew she was drunk. Ever since he assumed the role of the alpha his sister had always been irresponsible. He knew she was broken about the death of their parents. Though she had managed to hold up till he assumed the role she was broken internally.

Also since he had assumed the role of the pack's alpha he had been investigating his parent's mysterious death cause he had always believed the cause of their death was not natural. An unknown entity had killed them. He had started killing humans to ease his thirst for revenge as he was sure they were killed by some humans called hunters. Though he had tried to convince himself that his parents were strong and they couldn't be killed by some mere human.

But ever since he ran into some hunters while roaming the human world he had been convinced that it might have happened.

The humans he encountered that day were really strong. It almost cost his life that day before he was able to escape. Ever since then he had been taking human lives as revenge for what they did to him. It was the human who made him cruel.

But as fate would have the moon goddess blessed him with a human mate who understood his pains though he had never spoken to her about his past. Also, she didn't ask about it which gave me peace of mind. She was able to help me quench my thirst for revenge.

"Jeff," Abigail said when she got close and was only an inch away from him.

That was the name she had always called him ever since Jefferson was little. She had never for once called him by his full name except if he was in trouble or something.

"Jeff." She said again, jolting him out of his thoughts. Though he was the Alpha of the pack. In front of his sister, he was only a little boy.

"Jeff," Abigail called again.

"Yeah sis," Jefferson replied looking at his sister.

"There's this girl I met at the party. I think you should get to know her," Abigail said staggering towards Jefferson.

"But sis.."

"I don't want to hear anything from you. Have arranged a meeting for the two of you tomorrow," Abigail replied.

"Sis that's not fair. Besides, you didn't ask me first. Also have found my mate and I think it's impossible because I have marked her already," Jefferson replied.

It was as if Jefferson's words were like a trigger that brought Abigail out of her drunken state.

"What did you just say, Jeff?" Abigail asked slowly.
