*** JEFFERSON’s P.O.V *** * * Immediately after I finished I collapsed on the bed. Many thoughts were running through my mind. I was typically having the best day of my life. I lay on the bed looking at the woman who now had her head on my chest looking at me in the eyes. Her gaze made me smile slightly. Though I had blood on my hands I wasn't going to let anything happen to her. Though I knew it was a time before my enemies found me I would protect her. My master would probably come to my aid once I get into trouble with the pack. Because the last time I followed his orders I didn't know why. But he asked me to leave a clue. The woman on my chest knew not who I was. So I felt hiding it from her was kind of harsh. Turning my head and looking into her eyes I whispered into her ears. "I have something I want to tell you." "Shhh!" She gestured using her hands to cover my mouth. "Everything can wait. Am sure you're also tired. Let's rest." She whispered. "But..." "No hone
**** JEFFERSON POV ******There was a time I had once gone on a killing spree. I had turned an entire town into ruins in less than an hour.No one in the two was strong enough to stop me so I slaughtered them mercilessly and even enjoyed watching them die.Seeing them running toward me made me think they had come to life.I began to wonder where I was. I didn't understand a thing. For a moment I was talking to a girl who seemed to be Tina's sister. She was claiming I had killed the girl I loved. In the next second, she had suddenly vanished, replaced by an entire village who were holding pitchforks and were running towards me.I would have killed them without hesitation the second time if I wasn't weak but the situation in my body didn't even allow me to move my hands and talk more or less running.I watched as the villagers approached me.Immediately they got to me they all stopped looking at me.Though they were sure I was weak they couldn't see any fear or weakness in my eyes. JEFFERSON POV***Ever since my parents died no one volunteered to take care of me.I was left all by myself to wallow in distress, pain, and agony. They all believed I was the one who killed my parents. But they died to save me.I lived by myself eating anything I could find.I had no friends. All parents made sure their children avoided me like a plague. My only friends were the rodents in our house and the insects.I had grown to understand the cruelty of the world from a Young age.But wait, why was I brought here?To revisit my past?My antagonizing past. A past that I had locked deep inside my mind. Something I never wanted to remember. Were the Gods answering my prayers or punishing me?This wasn't an answer to my prayers, it was a punishment. I wondered why I was brought here. Why wasn't I taken to hell directly? All that had been happening had been confusing and I didn't understand a thing.I had struggled and racked my brain to see if I would understand what was going on b
*** JEFFERSON POV *****I watched as my younger version followed the figure into an unknown house. The very best part of my memories."You are my successor, little one. you must uphold my legacy well." The figure smiled at my younger version."Yes, I would." My younger version replied nodding firmly."We'll start the ceremony now." The figure said.immediately, my heart started beating fast. This part of my memory was considered one of the most precious to me.Suddenly the headache that had tormented me came back against me. This time it hit more strongly my head started spinning and as expected I started losing consciousness.I closed my eyes, giving in to the pain.I didn't know why my tour into memory lane was suddenly disrupted.I wondered if the Gods had enough already though I wasn't sure of that fact.I kinda enjoyed the tour in my memory lane.****Not knowing how long I had closed my eyes I opened them only to discover that I couldn't see a thing.I was back in the darknes
Jefferson woke up with a start as he was sweating. Sweat covered his whole being and he was breathing heavily.Subconsciously he touched his heart to feel if it was still beating. What the hell was happening? What the hell was the dream he had just now?The dream felt so real. What was the dream implying? What was the moon goddess trying to show him?He didn't understand. After some minutes his breathing became stabilized and he looked at DeLorna sleeping beside him.Sighing he used his hands to stroke her hair which was scattered across her face.A smile spread across his face as he used his hands to stroke her face. She was the most beautiful person he had ever laid his eyes on and she would continue to be the most beautiful as long as he lived. He loved her with all his heart. Remembering his dream of him killing his face his body shivered and he hoped the moon goddess was just trying to warn him. He knew no matter what his mate would do he would never raise his hands to hit her."
Some minutes later DeLorna was done washing up.Coming out of the bathroom with water dripping from her body while covered in a towel she went to the cupboard and looked at some of Jefferson's clothes before deciding to wear one of them.Jefferson, who was deep in thought, didn't notice that DeLorna was wearing his clothes. It was not until DeLorna wore his clothes and went towards him tapping h before he came back to his senses."What the hell, why are you wearing my clothes?" Jefferson exclaimed in shock when he saw DeLorna in his clothes."When I don't have my clothes, what do you want me to wear? Also, I feel it looks good on me," DeLorna smiled, looking innocent.Jefferson sighed and looked at DeLorna. What could he ever do to this girl? He just loved her and could stop loving her. The clothes she was wearing looked oversized, especially the shirt. She looked like a cute little girl in the shirt she wore.Suddenly DeLorna's stomach growled loudly. Immediately Jefferson raised his
DeLorna was still dumbfounded by Jefferson's actions. She didn't know why he had flared up against the elders. Anyway, she liked the feeling of being protected by her mate. She could hear the dead seriousness in his voice when he was talking to the elders and guessed he must mean all that he was saying and wasn't joking. In truth, she was scared by the strange reaction of the elders and guessed Jefferson must have noticed her fears and thus became angry at the elders for making her afraid.Well, who cares. She raised her head and looked at Jefferson who was looking at the sky."What's up there to look at?" DeLorna frowned.Jefferson, who was drowned in his sea of thoughts, came back to his senses when he heard DeLorna's words.Looking at DeLorna he smiled. "I was just out for a moment. Those elders didn't scare you right." He smiled."I wasn't too scared," DeLorna smiled."But at least you were scared. if it was another person I would have sent them to hell for scaring you," Jefferson
Jefferson sighed walking out of the room. Where was he going? It was unknown to even him but all he knew was that he wanted them to have some time alone. He had been with his mate since morning and needed some breathing space. It wasn't as if he didn't like being with her but his mate was someone troublesome and didn't allow him to rest a book throughout the day.It was not as if he was that tired but he needed some space. He didn't know why but he had thought DeLorna would put up some acts that night that he might not be able to handle and had decided to aim for it first. But to his surprise, she fell asleep before he could do anything, a rather surprising issue. Well it wasn't her fault she was but a human and her stamina was limited. It wasn't like his stamina where he could go on working or doing whatever he wanted for straight one week without getting tired. Besides, she was a girl.Getting to the balcony of the room he sighed and took out a cigarette and let it out before poppin
