We meet again

Catherine's POV

''Do you know where to get it?'' He asked, ''Yeah.'' I said and pointed in the direction of the drink stand. ''And I have some cash on me.'' I added and made my way to the drink stand. I walked past different cars and finally got to the drink stand. ''Good evening, can I get three bottles of coke.''? I asked the attendant, who nodded his head and went for the drinks. I stood there and watched him bring out the bottles of Coke from the fridge and placed it on the counter. ''five dollars.'' He said, ''I'll pay for it.'' Someone spoke from behind, which made me turn around and met a good-looking young guy who should be in his early twenties, glaring at me. He has short black hair that was gelled and combed backward, fascinating sea blue eyes, pointed nose and small lips. ''Are you done checking me out?" He teased while I scoffed and looked away. ''Greetings.'' The attendant greeted the young man while he lowered his head with respect. I'll pay for her drinks.'' He said again, while I shook my head in disapproval. ''Thanks, but that won't be necessary.'' I said in a polite manner. ''Really?'' He mocked and took a step closer while he sniffles deeply. ''Human!'' He said with a mockery laugh, ''Weak but always acting tough.'' He mocked again while I stood there furious at his words. ''With all due respect, humans are not weak.'' I spoke, angered by his attitude. ''Really…'' He took another step closer, that we were just an inch apart. ''I believe you are new in this town and so you don't know who I am.'' He said boastfully. I moved my gaze on him, wondering who he was, because I knew he was definitely not one of the alphas. ''Listen, I don't want any problem.'' I turned around and dropped the cash on the counter while I picked up the bottles of Coke from the counter.

I turned around and was about to leave, but he grabbed me by the arm and pulled me to himself, ''You are new here, so I will overlook this attitude of yours.'' He said and forcefully let go of my arm. With stunned eyes, I held his gaze, but decided to stay out of trouble. Sucking in a deep breath, I walked away and made my way back to the truck, only to bump into a hard, firm chest. ''Ahh.'' I exclaimed and raised my gaze only to meet eyes with a familiar set of green piercing eyes. ''You…'' I blurted out, shocked. He was putting on a red face cap that covered his face, but I quickly recognized him by his eyes. ''You again.'' He said with a soft chuckle, adding to his deep husky voice. ''Are you okay?'' He asked while I gulped and nodded my head as a response.'' Seems you are new here.'' He expressed those words not as a question, while I just nodded my head as a response when I realized I have lost my voice.

We held each other's gaze for a moment until I spoke up, ''I didn't get the chance to thank you earlier today.'' I said while he responded with a blank look on his face. ''Thanks for…'' He didn't let me finish before he cut me off, ''It's nothing, I have to go…'' He spoke in a hurry and walked past me. I wanted to turn around and look where he was heading to, but I decided to move on. I got to the truck and sat in my position. ''What took you so long?'' Lucas asked, ''I was making new friends.'' I lied and handed Sandra and Lucas their bottle of drinks.'' The movie is about to start.'' Lucas announced, which forced my attention to the big projector screen In front of us. Lucas spread the blanket on our bodies which covered from our laps downward, as we got ready for the movie to start.'' What kind of movie are they showing.'' I asked while going for the ticket, ''It's a movie titled Flipped.'' Lucas responded before I could look through my ticket. ''Sound interesting.'' I said and relaxed my back on the truck while I focused my gaze on the big projector.

Everywhere became silent as everyone turned off the light of their cars, which made the place dark except for the light from the big screen projector. The movie began and everyone's attention was fixed on the screen as the movie went on. A few minutes into the movie, Sandra spoke up, ''Alpha Darin is here.'' She said, ''Really, where is he?'' Lucas asked while looking around. ''Somewhere around, I could just feel his presence.'' She said and threw some popcorn into her mouth while her gaze were fixed on the screen.'' But what will he be doing here?'' Lucas asked, while I scoffed and said, ''Probably to watch the movie.'' I replied, ''You don't get it, they don't usually come out to functions like this.'' He explained while I shrugged my shoulders and took a sip of my drink, ''Maybe he decided to take a fresh air.'' I said and fixed my gaze on the screen.

We all watched the movie in total silence for the duration of an hour plus before it came to an end.'' The girl made the right decision.'' I said with a soft sigh and took the last sip of my drink. ''Next movie starts in the next ten minutes, but before then I'll go refill our popcorn and get some drinks.'' Lucas said and left the truck, leaving me with Sandra.

''Do you have a boyfriend?'' She asked the moment Lucas was gone. ''No, why do you ask.'' I asked while holding her gaze, but she didn't say a word, rather she shook her head and emptied her drink into her mouth. ''Seems you are a seer, did you see something that I need to know?'' I asked curious because obviously, she saw something that has to do with me. ''I saw nothing.'' She lied, but I wasn't going to beg or pressurize her, ''Suit yourself.'' I said and looked away. I moved my gaze around and noticed couples wriggling around each other romantically, which tore my heart, knowing I don't know how it feels to be loved by a man. Sighing heavily, I removed the blanket from my body and turned to Sandra's direction. ''Where is the restroom?'' I asked, ''Over there.'' She responded and pointed out a direction to me. ''Thanks.'' I said and climbed down the truck. I followed the direction Sandra pointed to me and was almost at the door of the restroom when a strong grip held me by the arm and turned me around. ''Hello little kitten.'' The stranger said with an evil grin on his face.
