Catherine's POV
I left the dining table and went to the door. I held the doorknob and opened in a brisk motion only to see a beautiful blonde-haired girl standing before me. ''Trouble.'' She blurted out the moment she held my gaze. With startled eyes, I watched her close her eyes and began murmuring words to herself, totally ignoring my presence.''Who is at the door.'' Lucas asked from the dining table, ''Some strange girl.'' I said while staring at the strange blonde girl whose eyes were still closed, murmuring words to herself. I kept staring at her while Lucas walked from behind and stood beside me. ''Sandra.'' He called out to her, but she didn't give him a response, rather, she kept murmuring words to herself. ''What is she doing?'' I asked, ''She is having a vision, don't worry, she will be back.'' He assured me and just then she opened her eyes and held my gaze. Holding her gaze, I realized her eyes were clouded with blood, which frightened me and I had to take a step backwards. ''Stay calm, she won't harm you.'' Lucas assured me and just then she closed her eyes and sucked in a deep breath before she opened them and this time I realized she has beautiful sets of brown eyes.''Who is she.'' She asked, while holding my gaze with a small frown on her face. ''My cousin, is there something wrong, what did you see?'' Lucas asked, but she didn't give a response, rather she stepped into the house and shut the door. Once again, she threw an angry look at me and walked away, leaving Lucas and me at the door. ''Who is she?'' I asked, confused. ''My friend. Let's go back to the table.'' He said and led the way back to the dining table, while I followed behind, dumbfounded by her action. We got to the dining table and met her seated on the table having a chat with my aunt. ''I believe you've met Cathy already.'' Aunt said, making an introduction, while I dragged the seat before the strange girl and sat on it. ''Is something wrong?'' Lucas directed those questions to her while she flickered him a weak smile and said, ''I had a vision, but it has nothing to do with you guys.'' She said and placed an empty plate In front of her. I watched her dish some porridge potatoes into her plate and took a spoon of it, while I just sat and watched. There was something strange about her and I just couldn't place it. ''Is something wrong?'' Aunt asked when she noticed my plate was empty. ''I'm fine.'' I replied and dished some potatoes into my plate. We all ate in silence while I ignored the piercing gaze of the strange girl on me. She was obviously staring at me and wasn't hiding it. After we were all through with the meal, Lucas spoke up. ''Sandy and I are going out to watch a late night film, will you join us?'' He asked and just when I was about to decline, she spoke up, ''Of course she would join us, right?'' She asked while she settled her gaze on me. ''Don't get scared, Cathy, Lucas is there with you.'' My Aunt assured me when she noticed I was hesitating to give a response. ''Alright, I'll join you guys.'' I said with a weak smile. ''Good, go have fun, you'll love it there.'' Aunt assured me and slowly stood to her feet. ''I'll go to bed early.'' She said while Lucas stood to his feet and held her hand leading her to her room.Lucas left with aunt Lilian, and I was left with Sandra who was staring at me with a piercing gaze which made me uncomfortable, and I had to speak up. ''Is something wrong?'' I asked while holding her gaze. ''Trouble, you are trouble.'' She said, ''Excuse me?'' I asked confused. ''You…'' She wanted to speak, but stopped when she noticed Lucas was coming our way. I stared at her with raised eyebrows, wondering what she meant by what she just said. ''So the movie starts at 8pm, but we have to go earlier, so we can get a good space.'' He said, while I nodded my head and stood to my feet. ''I'll go change into something good.'' I said and left. I walked back into my room, took out a simple outfit of blue jeans and a long black turtleneck sweater. I dressed and up and put on simple black sandals before leaving the room.I got back to the sitting room and met Sandra and Lucas having a nice chat while Lucas was already dressed up in black crazy jeans and white hoodies. ''Are you set?'' He asked, while I nodded my head as a response, ignoring the gaze of Sandra on me. ''Let's go then.''he said and picked up his truck keys. Lucas led the way while I followed behind, and we all left the house. I went to the back seat of the truck while Sandra sat in the front seat with Lucas. The drive wasn't as silent as it was when I was with Lucas. Rather, Sandra and Lucas were occupied in a deep discussion and I couldn't contribute to it because the conversation revolved around the activities of the town. Heaving a deep breath, I relaxed on the seat and listened to the music playing on the music player, totally ignoring their conversation. After a fifteen-minute drive, we arrived in a big field which was already occupied with different cars. ''it is an outdoor movie night?'' I asked, getting excited, because I have never gotten the chance to watch an outdoor movie. ''Yes, thank goddess we came earlier.'' He said, and reversed his car so that the back of the truck was facing the direction of the big screen. He parked in an empty space with just few cars ahead of us. ''Alright girls, get to the back of the truck while I go pay for our tickets.'' Lucas said and got out of the car while Sandra and I did the same. We got to the back of the truck and I saw a big blanket was already arranged in a corner. Beaming happily, I climbed on the back of the truck and sat at the right-hand end, while Sandra sat at the left-hand end. We both sat there in silence, ignoring each other's presence, while I looked around, watching as different cars arrived and parked in the available space.''So you are Lucas's step-cousins'' She asked after several minutes of silence. I wanted to ignore her because she was acting weird, but I decided not to be rude. ''We don't see ourselves as step-cousins.'' I responded in the most friendly manner I could. ''Oh!'' Was all she said as she looked away.A few minutes later, Lucas came back and climbed on the truck. ''I must be the luckiest man on earth to have two beautiful ladies by my side.'' Lucas said, while we both scoffed at his words. ''He handed a ticket to me and Sandra and was about unwrapping the cup of popcorn when he realized he had forgotten something. ''What is it?'' I asked. ''Bottles of Coke.'' He said and wanted to go for it, but I stopped him. ''I'll go get it, you stay here.'' I said and climbed down from the truck.Catherine's POV''Do you know where to get it?'' He asked, ''Yeah.'' I said and pointed in the direction of the drink stand. ''And I have some cash on me.'' I added and made my way to the drink stand. I walked past different cars and finally got to the drink stand. ''Good evening, can I get three bottles of coke.''? I asked the attendant, who nodded his head and went for the drinks. I stood there and watched him bring out the bottles of Coke from the fridge and placed it on the counter. ''five dollars.'' He said, ''I'll pay for it.'' Someone spoke from behind, which made me turn around and met a good-looking young guy who should be in his early twenties, glaring at me. He has short black hair that was gelled and combed backward, fascinating sea blue eyes, pointed nose and small lips. ''Are you done checking me out?" He teased while I scoffed and looked away. ''Greetings.'' The attendant greeted the young man while he lowered his head with respect. I'll pay for her drinks.'' He said ag
Alpha Darwin's POV''Mate distressed.'' My wolf hollered loudly in my head, which caused a cold shiver ran down my spine. Curiously, I glared at Elliot, whose eyes were fixed on the big screen having a conversation with Darin. '' Mate in trouble.'' My wolf howled, and that forced me up on my feet. '' Is something wrong?'' Darin asked, while I responded with a simple nod, ''I will be back.'' I placed a kiss on Elliott's forehead and jumped out of the truck, making sure I fixed my face cup, so I could avoid numerous greetings.'' Mate!'' He howled in discomfort as I hastened my feet, following the direction of an alluring, fascinating scent. '' What is going on.'' I asked my wolf but didn't get a response, rather he kept howling loudly in my head, forcing me to quicken my steps. Hastily, I followed the direction of the scent, only to realize it led me to a dark corner, steps away from the female restroom. ''Let go of me.'' I heard a soft whisper coming from a dark corner, '' Mine!'' My
Catherine's POV''Are you okay?'' Lucas asked as he started the engine of the car. ''Yeah!'' I responded in a whisper and relaxed on the headrest of the car. Everything that happened a few minutes ago was still confusing to me. The person who saved me from those guys and confronted me was alpha Darwin, whereas Alpha Darin was the one who saved my things from being stolen. ''Gosh, they look so much alike,'' I mumbled to myself as I pondered on what happened few minutes ago. Alpha Darwin was saying confusing words, words I didn't understand. At first, when I saw him, I thought he was the gentleman who saved my things from being stolen at the bus stop, but later I realized he was his twin brother. What confused me was his words about me meeting a sorcerer to confuse his wolf. ''Maybe he is drunk.'' I concluded with myself and forgot about it.The car came to a halt, which wasn't aunt Lilian's home, but I guessed it was Sandra's home. ''I'll see you tomorrow at work.'' Sandra said her g
Alpha Darin's POV''What are you doing here?'' Darwin asked angrily, causing the young lady to flip in fear. ''You know her?'' Elliott asked, but didn't get a response from Darwin.Curious, I fixed my gaze on Darwin and realized he was so uncomfortable with her presence, which got me curious, wondering what was going on.''She is my niece,'' Aunt Lilian announced, ''Your niece?'' Elliott asked with a frown, while aunt Lilian responded with a nod.''What is she doing here?'' Darwin asked, irritated by her presence, which made me curious about his behavior. Darwin never acts like this towards anyone even though it's a human, but just seeing her, I could sense he was restless and angry. ''What's going on?'' I asked him through telepathy, but he didn't give me a response. ''Sorry Lilian, but we don't need more servants.'' Elliot spoke rudely, causing me to give him a disapproving glare, but he rolled his eyes and looked away.''She will be here for just a month. I want her to assist me w
Catherine's POV''What is going on?'' Aunt Lilian asked as we made our way to the kitchen, but before I could respond, a lady appeared from a corner of a room.''Welcome back, Aunt Lilian.'' She greeted aunt Lilian and hugged her," We all miss you.'' She spoke with a sigh of relief before letting go of aunt Cara. She moved her gaze to me and flashed a quick smile at me. ''I believe this should be your niece, the one you said would help you in the kitchen,'' She said, while Aunt Lilian responded with a nod. ''You are welcome.'' She smiled friendly, which I returned.''The alphas have already had their breakfast, so perhaps you can prepare their lunch,'' She said while aunt Lilian nodded. The lady led the way to the door, which I presume was the door that led to the kitchen. We three walked in, and I couldn't help but be in awe at the size of the kitchen. The kitchen was so big and spacious; never had I seen a kitchen as big as this. Four gigantic gas cookers were positioned at the cent
Alpha Darin's POVAs I stood before her, I was struck by her beauty and innocence. She had an angelic face and sea-blue eyes that seemed to draw me in. I wanted to tell her that everything was going to be alright, yet I wasn't sure if she was ready to accept my warmth. ''Stop it. You have a mate.'' My wolf howled angrily, bringing me back to my senses.''Have a seat,'' I told her while pointing at the couch. At first, she hesitated for a moment before taking the seat. Seeing that she was uncomfortable with my presence, I flickered a friendly smile at her and took the chair across her. Getting her to relax was my priority. I took the conversation more lightheartedly to help her feel more at ease.“So, you are aunt Lilian's niece?” I asked, as friendly as I could. There was an awkward silence and I could tell she was judging my intentions. I tried to keep my expression positive and friendly, hoping that she'd open up to me gradually.''Yes.'' She responded with a gulp.I nodded, doing

Alpha Darwin's POVI appeared in a sitting room, which I assumed belonged to Aunt Lilian. As I moved my gaze around the sitting room, I heard a whisper from a nearby corner. Curious, I approached the door, entered, and saw her wince in pain as she poured the spirit into her bleeding hands. As she turned around, I horrified her to the extent that the spirit she held fell to the ground. I held on with an ominous expression while she froze in fear and could barely breathe as I stepped closer, my eyes never leaving hers. She was too scared to move, unsure of what to do or say. I just stood there, looming over her without saying a word.''Is this why you were bothering me,'' I questioned my wolf, who howled but said nothing. ''This is ridiculous.'' I groaned out to her hearing, still holding her terrified and shocked gaze.I wanted to leave, but then I thought of a plan to scare her; perhaps I could get something from her. ''I believe you are all alone,'' I spoke in a low, threatening voic
Epilogue (24 years later) "When are they coming?" Catherine asked Theo and Leo, who shrugged their shoulders. "The driver has already gone to pick them up, Mother," Theo and Leo responded with a grunt. They were already growing annoyed and frustrated with how eager their mother was to see their younger brother and his supposed fiancée."You two don't seem happy to meet her," Catherine spoke, and they both rolled their eyes before Leo responded. "There is nothing to be excited about, Mother. We are twenty-eight years old and haven't found our mates. There is nothing to be happy about," he spoke out frustrated, while his mother gave him a pitiful look. She knew the pain of her two sons not finding their mates, and since they had just become Alphas, they really wanted to have their mates with them."Where are Fathers?" Leo asked. "They will join us soon," she responded while taking a deep breath. "But we should be happy for your younger brother. He has found a girl he truly loves and wis
Four years later “Give me that Leo, Theo.” Catherine shouted as she ran at the two boys, who were incredibly fast for their age. Filled with sweat, she raced them down the stairs as the two boys giggled happily and sped down the stairs. They got to the sitting room, and just then Alpha Darin and Darwin walked through the entrance door. “Fathers!” The little boys screamed and hugged their fathers. “What are you champs up to?” Alpha Darin asked as he ruffled the hair of the two boys.“Thank God you are here, these boys took my comb and ran away with it.” Catherine grumbled as she reached where they stood with panting breath. “We wanted to help with combing her hair, but she refused.” Theo responded with a pout. “So we had to run away with her comb.” Leo added, and both alphas laughed at the mischievousness of their sons. “It’s not funny.” Catherine rolled her eyes, faking anger, while Alpha Darwin grinned and placed a quick kiss on her lips. “This is just the beginning.” He teased, and
Three months later…Catherine was in her room, sleeping, when she felt kisses on her face, and she opened her eyes. Seeing that it was Alpha Darwin, she revealed a sweet smile and covered her face as she yawned. “Yawning beauty, it's your birthday!” Alpha Darwin reminded her, and she giggled. “Happy birthday, angel,” he added, making her blush. She sat up in bed and hugged him. “Thank you very much,” she said as she broke the hug, but Alpha Darwin pulled her in and kissed her forehead. “My pleasure,” he replied.Catherine looked around the room. “Where is Darin?” she asked.Alpha Darwin smiled. “He's around the corner. He is coming,” he replied as he pulled away and looked at her face. “Here, I brought you a gift,” he said and picked a small box from his pocket, which he handed to her with a smile on his face. Catherine collected the box from him, opened it, and gasped! She had to wipe her eyes to look at the gift that was inside the box again, and she was flabbergasted. “This… It's a
Alpha Darin and Alpha Darwin walked toward Catherine with excitement in their eyes. The fears in their hearts had completely evaporated away, and all that remained was their joy as they stared at the exhausted but excited Catherine. "The babies are fine," Catherine mumbled, brimming with relief and joy as she opened her eyes to look at Alpha Darin and Alpha Darwin. "Look, the twins are fine. They came out well," she said, pointing to her children, who were in the arms of a maid and the healer. Her excitement knew no bounds, and she couldn't stop smiling.Alpha Darwin collected the baby in the hand of the maid, while Alpha Darin collected the one in the hand of the healer, and they both smiled at each other. Hearing the cries of the babies made their hearts race, and they felt like the cries were their favorite songs. Their happiness was just indescribable, and their smiles could not wane. "The babies... They are identical," Alpha Darwin said as he looked at the baby in his arms and the
Two months later...Catherine was in her room; she had just taken her bath and was combing her hair while sitting in front of her mirror. She was humming gently to herself until she felt a presence in the room. Turning her head, a smile appeared on her face when she saw it was Alpha Darin and Alpha Darwin. They walked toward her; Alpha Darin took the brush from her and started combing her hair, while Alpha Darwin stood beside her, gently massaging her shoulder."You two look worried. What's going on?" Catherine asked when she saw the look on Alpha Darin and Alpha Darwin's faces. She knew something was wrong and worried that it might be related to a war, which she feared so much. "You can tell me anything," she added when she realized they were hesitating.Alpha Darwin sighed. "You know the pregnancy is six months now, and in a month, you could give birth. Don't you think it's time to mark you?" He asked, and Catherine's eyes widened. She turned to look at Alpha Darin and Alpha Darwin,
Alpha Darin’s POV I walked down the stairs with various thoughts in my mind. My feelings were complicated, and I had no way to resolve them. "Where are you going, Darin?" Darwin asked when he noticed me, snapping me out of my thoughts, and I looked at him. "What?" I asked with a raised brow. "I asked where you are going," he repeated. The truth was that his question registered, but I was too lost to figure it out.I sighed and replied, "I want to go and see Anabella in the dungeon." I saw him frown and ask, "Anabella in the dungeon? Why do you want to do that?" I shrugged, "I just feel like seeing her. I want to see her..." I mumbled, doubting my own words. I had no idea why I felt like seeing her when she had already caused so much trouble.Darwin seemed confused too and stood up. He walked toward me, standing in front of me. "Her trial is in a few minutes from now. Why don't you wait till then?" Darwin suggested, but I shook my head. "I don't want to wait. I want to see her before t
Lucas was in his room, about to sleep for the night, when he heard a knock on the door, and he stood up. He walked toward the door and opened it, revealing Lycan Edward. "It's you?" He asked, and Lycan Edward nodded. He opened the door wide for him to enter and closed it. "You were about to sleep, right?" Lycan Edward asked, and Lucas smiled. "Yeah..." He replied. "I only came to wish you a good night as I will be going to bed soon too." Lycan Edward explained and was about to leave when Lucas held his hand but immediately dropped it. "Er... I wanted to... invite you to sit," he stuttered, and Lycan Edward smiled. He nodded and found his way to Lucas's bed where he sat down, and Lucas sat beside him. "You look stressed," Lucas remarked as the first thing he noticed the moment Lycan Edward entered his room was his face. He looked exhausted, like someone who hadn't rested for days, and it bothered him. Lycan Edward revealed a sweet smile. "I've been burying myself in work these days so
WRITER'S POVA WEEK LATERLycan Edward was in his room working away on a file when he heard a knock on the door. He was about to ask who it was when he caught the tantalizing scent of Lucas, and he smiled. "Come in," he said, and the door opened, revealing Lucas with a cup of coffee in his hand. "This is for you," Lucas said as he walked closer to Lycan Edward and placed the cup of coffee on the table.Lycan Edward was impressed. He looked at the cup of coffee on the table, and a smile bloomed on his face. "How did you know I was craving coffee?" he asked sweetly as he gazed at Lucas standing in front of him. Lucas's eyes softened, and he smiled. "I'm your Mate. Of course, I should know what you want," he joked, and Lycan Edward chuckled. He closed the file he was working on and gestured to a seat for Lucas. "You can sit," he offered, and Lucas nodded as he sat down, facing Lycan Edward.Lycan Edward looked at Lucas with a loving gaze. The fine young man who had been with him for a we
CATHERINE'S POVI searched around the bed for Alpha Darin and Darwin, who slept beside me last night, but none of them were there. The space was empty, and as I opened my eyes, I looked around the room but couldn't find them, leaving me a bit confused. A knock came on the door, "Come in," I said, and the door opened, revealing a maid. "Your breakfast, ma'am," the maid said, and I nodded. She carried it to the table and placed the tray there. "Have you seen any of the Alphas?" I asked the maid, who shook her head. "No, ma'am, I haven't seen them today at all," she replied, and I frowned. "Okay," I replied, as I knew there was no point in continuing the conversation with her when she already said she had no idea where the Alphas were. She was about to leave the room when she turned back and asked, "If you need help taking your bath, I can do that for you, My Lady." She suggested sincerely, but I shook my head. "Don't worry. I can do that myself," I said, and she bowed before leaving th
