MICHEAL’S POV.
I walked into the room where the first part of the wedding would commence. First, there was the traditional ball dance between the bride and groom or with a close relative. The crowd parted for me as I walked in; it was a rare sight to see me at such an event, and I knew everyone was wondering why I would want to attend the wedding of my enemies. But the answer was clear: He was giving away my Sonia to a man who did not deserve her.The ladies quickly gathered around me, a sight that stirred envy among the men who couldn’t match my power and beauty. They competed amongst themselves, vying for my attention, some displaying their charms in hopes of winning my favour and becoming my bride. However, none captivated me like Sonia. My gaze remained fixed on Sonia as she entered the room, her beauty as captivating as ever. Despite my reservations, I sat among the crowd, watching her being wed to the undeserving Kelvin. Knowing Kelvin and her uncle’s intentions were not noble, I hoped she would realize it before they could harm her.Her long, floral white gown hugged her perfect frame, accentuating her toned body. She was undeniably stunning, and it should have been me standing beside her as her groom, not that dimwit.I could sense Sonia felt my gaze, yet she pretended not to notice, keeping her eyes fixed on her groom. So, she is determined to ignore me, huh? I frowned. Let’s see about that.I walked up the aisle, my gaze still remained on her.“Your majesty! It is a pleasure to see you,” Kelvin said with a small smile. But I knew that smile was nothing more than fake pleasantries. Outside this wedding, we were all enemies, merely trying to be civil to avoid more bloodshed and not ruin this ridiculous wedding.“You have such a beautiful bride, I must confess,” I said, staring at Sonia as I planted a kiss on the back of her hand. I could feel her shiver at the touch of my lips, as did her soon to be husband and her daring uncle.I smirked at Sonia, but she remained composed as always, looking at me with an unreadable expression that seemed sadder than before.Turning to Kelvin, I finally took my gaze off Blair. “Allow me to have a dance with your stunning bride.”“Your majesty, I would respectfully decline. She is better by my side,” Kelvin said through gritted teeth.“She is mine,” my wolf growled internally.“Don’t be greedy. It’s just a little dance. Allow me a taste of this beauty. Afterwards, she will be all yours,” I said with a smile, though it carried an underlying threat. I was not going to accept no for an answer, and he knew it.Reluctantly, he agreed, and I extended my hands, letting Sonia intertwine hers with mine as I led her to the dance area.I could feel her heart racing, and I smiled devilishly at the thought.SONIA’S POV.The entire room watched as the Lycan King led me to the centre of the ballroom. Everyone knew the strained relationship between the Lycan King and my Uncle. My Uncle harboured a deep hatred for him, and it was evident in his expression. If looks could kill, Michael would be dead by now.Perhaps it was to spite my Uncle, but when Michael pulled me closer to his solid body, I did not resist. Instead, I savoured every moment, leaning my head on his shoulder, listening to the sweet melody of his heartbeat, and being enveloped by his enticing scent.Kelvin and my Uncle both looked at me with disapproval and disgust. I knew there would be consequences, but I did not care. I turned my face away from them, closing my eyes to everything, lost in Michael’s inexplicable touch. If I was going to spend the rest of my life as a puppet, with no say from this moment forward, I should at least be able to defy them just this once.“My Cherry, I have missed you so much,” Michael said, caressing my hair, his voice soft and sexy. He held me as if I was not about to be married off to someone as if my groom could not see us and we were completely alone.I looked up to meet his eyes, and I wished I never did because my heart skipped a beat. I struggled to catch my breath.“You feel it too, right?” he asked.“I don’t know what you mean,” I swallowed, acting oblivious.“The connection, I know you feel it,” Michael said.“It’s just a dance. Haven’t you danced before? I would be the same way with anybody,” I lied.Michael tightened his hold on me, drawing me so close that our bodies were pressed tightly together, causing gasps of disbelief from the ladies in the past room.He leaned in closer to my ear, and at this point, I was worried about creating a scandal, but he seemed oblivious to his grip on me. Instead, he whispered softly in my ear, sending waves of pleasure through me. “You are lying, Cherry. You and I are special, and you know it. You belong to me, Sonia.”My legs felt like jelly, and I would have collapsed if he had not been holding me so tightly.“What do you mean?” I said, staring at him.He leaned in even closer, his voice barely above a whisper. “Kelvin is not good for you. He would destroy the empire that your father worked tirelessly to build. Don’t let them control your fate, Sonia.”The music came to an end, he released me from his embrace, his eyes pleading for me to listen to his warning. With a respectful nod, I turned and walked away, resisting the urge to look back.SONIA’S POV.I went back to my bedroom to retouch my makeup before the official wedding ceremony began. I avoided my uncle and my soon to be husband after the dance because I could not dare to face them after the scandal I just created. Bella rushed into my room, and I anticipated her disappointment. Instead, she appeared strangely pleased. Locking the door behind her, she smiled widely at me.“And you said you did not care about the Lycan King?” Bella said, eyeing me up and down.“I don’t,” I said, keeping my gaze fixed ahead, refusing to meet her eyes.“I don’t believe you, not after what I just witnessed. You two were helplessly in love with each other,” Bella said. “It was like watching a fairy tale. I have never seen Michael be so gentle with anyone.”“It was just a dance, Bella. Drop it,” I hissed.Bella walked toward me, slamming her hand on my vanity table. “Why are you lying to yourself?”I sighed, dropping my makeup and turning to face her. “What difference does it make, Be
SONIA’S POV. Once we were a safe distance from my kingdom, I nudged his wolf, but he ignored me, so I tugged at his fur more forcefully, causing him to growl in irritation. He stopped running, letting me jump down from his large wolf form. I adjusted my wedding gown before bowing down as a sign of respect to the Lycan King and also for helping me out of my kingdom. "Thank you for saving me, but I can find my way," I said firmly, my head still lowered.Michael shifted into his human form and spoke, his voice commanding. "Look at me, Sonia.”I looked up to find him standing there, completely naked. His body was a work of art sculpted and adorned with scars, both large and small. Each scar told stories of battles fought and won. But what drew my attention the most was the intricate tattoo covering his left hand. I tore my gaze away from his body; I noticed his intense stare as if he could see through me.“What did you say, Cherry?” Michael’s voice was low, sending shivers down my spi
SONIA’S POV. My eyes fluttered open, and this time, I found myself lying under a tree. I turned to see Michael giving orders to his men. I shifted, placing my hand on my pounding head."You woke up just in time," Michael said as he strolled over to me.I frowned. "What's wrong with you? Kidnapping me is a serious crime, don't you know that?" I hissed."Shhhh... cherry," he hushed, squatting down and placing a finger on my lips. "This isn't the time to unleash all your anger on me. You need to conserve your strength. The drug is potent," he said gently, as if speaking to a child."If you hadn't shot me, I wouldn't be in this state," I scolded. He shrugged. "You are right, but it was the only way to bring you along.""And what makes you think I won't run away once I regain my strength?" I said, crossing my arms."Let me worry about that later," he sighed before standing up. "My men are out in the woods to find meat for us. We bought a couple of wines along, so we'll be able to have a d
SONIA’S POV. It was almost two hours after I drugged him. The bonfire had been extinguished, so I knew most of his guards were sleeping."Michael," I called out, tapping him multiple times, but he remained fast asleep and unaware of his surroundings. I removed his dagger from his side. It was finely crafted and must have cost a fortune. "Thank you. I will return it when I can," I muttered under my breath.A satisfied smile crossed my lips as I prepared to depart. Carefully, I crept away, ensuring not to disturb the sleeping guards or draw any unwanted attention to myself. Finally, out of sight, I broke into a swift but silent sprint, eager to put as much distance between us as possible.Suddenly, the bushes rustled loudly, and I could sense their presence; someone was watching me."Show yourself," I commanded, my hand instinctively reaching for my dagger.A figure emerged from the bush, but instead of preparing for a confrontation, they bowed respectfully before me. I quickly recogni
SONIA’S POV.I was bound by the hands like a prisoner as we made our way to the Lycan King's territory. Michael had not spoken to me since last night, and it made me uncomfortable. I wonder what was on his mind; was he going to punish me or, worse, kill me? He wouldn't kill me, right? After all, I had saved him when my pack guards tried to kill him and sacrificed my own chances of going back home. I had a higher chance of being forgiven when I ran away from the wedding, but now, the prospect of my family or pack accepting me seemed nearly impossible."Are you not going to say anything to me?" I asked, unable to bear the awkward silence any longer."Say something about what?" he responded calmly, still avoiding eye contact.I sighed. "About last night? Are you going to talk about it?" I pressed."No. There is nothing for me to discuss," he replied nonchalantly. But his response did not satisfy me. I wondered what was going on in his mind. I have heard tales of his cruelty and merciless
SONIA'S POV. I heard a knock on my door. "Go away," I yelled, hiding under the covers. But the knock did not cease. After a while, the door opened, and someone went to open the curtains, letting sunlight flood in. I whined, reluctantly opening my eyes to see who had disturbed my beauty sleep.Turning, I saw an older woman standing a few inches away from my bed."I want to be left alone," I hissed."Forgive me, Your Majesty, but I am afraid I can't do that. The Lycan King requests that we be of service to you," she answered politely."Uhn? What do you mean?" I asked, blinking sleepily as I sat upright on my bed.She clapped her hands once, and like clockwork, several maids entered the room, each carrying an array of items. One held a basket filled with bottles of essential oils, while another carried a bundle of soft, fluffy towels. The rest brought trays of carefully folded clothes, fresh linens, and various other amenities fit for royalty. They wasted no time, dragging me out of bed
SONIA’S POV. It has been the most ten long, agonizing days of my life since Michael left, and I'm starting to feel like I'm going crazy. The castle walls are closing in on me, and I'm desperate for some fresh air and freedom, just like every prisoner would. I've spent most of my time cooped up in my room, reading books and chatting with almost every maid to pass the time. But today, I decided I'd had enough. I needed to get out and explore the territory. I finally got out of bed and headed straight to the kitchen, hoping to find something to eat before going out. "I want freshly made apple juice." "Yes, ma'am," the head maid replied, bowing her head. Miranda reminded me of a childhood friend, although they were nothing alike. Candice was much younger, for one, tall, voluptuous, and blond. But it went beyond the physical differences; Candice was softer, gentler. It didn't matter; I got the same warm feelings from Miranda that he got from my childhood friend. It was very upsetting,
SONIA’S POV. It was already so late in the afternoon, I drew a pair of brown leather trousers up over my legs and settled them on my hips where they molded to my body. Leathers help prevent injuries during battles so my grandpa told me and ever since, it has been my favourite. Not that I was always ready for a battle, but for the fact that I feel safe in what I wore. As I pulled the black corset, I glanced around my room. It was a mess but I did not have the time to clean up, hoping one of the maids will do that before I return. I began to slip a few weapons into the specially made compartment and loops in my leather pants. Throwing stars with razor sharp edges. Several knives. A little something for my training later in the day. And just then I finally put on a very long skirt. The long skirt not only hid the leather pants, but also helped me to blend into the local population. Satisfied I looked as much like a local as possible, I stepped out of my room. I rested my hands on the
TROY’S POV.Since the day Blue joined my pack, I have felt a lot happier, but I can not shake off my concerns. Seeing as Blue does not know I am her mate. Sometimes, I am itching to tell her, but deep down, I know that is a terrible idea. Our first meeting was not exactly friendly, and I did keep her here against her will. But was that a bad idea? It was the only way I could think of to keep her close. When I saw her hugging and being all affectionate with that human, Alex. It stirred up this feeling of jealousy in me. I have heard the rumors that they might be dating and it looks like it might be true. The thought of them together was making me angry. It took everything in my power not to get rid of him that day, but that would put me in a bad position and Blue would hate me forever and the last thing I needed after searching for my mate for a long time was to get rejected. It was not just the hug, it was the way he looked at her like they shared a secret world I could never be a pa
I readied myself for my first day working with Alpha Troy Hunter. Although the situation that brought me here was not ideal, I was determined to use this opportunity to gain insights into the Redmoon Pack.I arrived at the designated location, and just as I expected, Troy was waiting for me. He greeted me with a nod. "Morning, Blue.""Good morning, Troy," I responded. He informed me that today's plan involved a tour of the pack's training area. As we strolled along, I could not help but notice the training grounds were conveniently close to his house. The training area was even more impressive than I had anticipated. It stretched widely, well equipped with various obstacles, weights, and training dummies. Sounds of effort, grunts, and the occasional clang of weights hitting the ground filled the air.As we entered the training room, my eyes widened at the sight before me. Hefty men, each one of them looking like they could lift a building, were engaged in various training activities
I stretched under the soft covers when I got startled by a figure standing in front of my bed. My heart raced as I quickly sat up, and there he was. “Alpha Troy,” I said as I managed to compose myself, my heart still racing. He offered a faint smile. "Good morning, Blue."“What the actual fuck.” I cursed. “Is this how you welcome people here? Walking into their room without any warning?”“You were sleeping so peacefully, I did not want to disturb you.” “ Then you should have waited outside this room.” I frowned. He nodded at the possibility “Yes, I suppose I could have. But I thought you looked too adorable, sleeping with your mouth open and drooling.”“You are unbelievable,” I muttered, feeling a flush of color rise to my cheeks.“ So why are you here?" I asked. “ I wanted to talk to you personally before I leave for my duties.” “ About what?”“ Well since you will be staying with us for the time being, I want to make sure you are properly settled in, there is no point in treatin
I walked into the spacious room holding hands with Mira who was frightened to be alone.I looked at the man who was sitting behind the desk. He was the same guy I had fought with when we first attacked the Redmoon pack. Was he the Alpha? He was younger than expected, I was hoping to see someone older, someone who looked like the man who killed my father but he was different. The man standing in front of me was breathtakingly gorgeous. He had a very angelic face that felt so unreal almost as if he was incapable of doing any harm and his body was finely built. He caught me staring and I coughed which planted a tiny smile on his face.“ Alpha Troy Hunter, I suppose,” I said.“Correct, and you must be Blue Winter, the Alpha of Moonlight pack,” he replied.I nodded slightly. His eyes noticed Mira and he looked at her in shock then at me. “ I did not know you had a child.” He said genuinely taken aback.“I don't. Would that have made any difference,” I asked irritated. “No,” He seemed
The night was cool and calm as the pack settled to rest.I lay in my bed in a deep slumber, tired from all the stress and worries that had weighed me down during this period. In the quietness, a rustling sound reaches my sharp ears, faint yet consistent.I stirred in my sleep, a frown formed on my face from the annoyance caused by the sound.“ Blue” a voice whispered urgently, followed by a gentle shake to my shoulders. My eyes flutter open, slowly trying to gain focus. Alex stood by my bedside with a tense expression. I had told Alex earlier this evening that I did not want him in my bed today because I wanted to enjoy the quietness and peacefulness of my room. “ What is it, Alex?” I asked groggily.“ We are under attack,” Alex uttered. The declaration hit me like an electric bolt instantly sharpening my sense, my pack was under attack again and I needed to protect her.“ How many of them?” I asked.“Quiet a lot, they are larger werewolves. I guess that they are from….” “…from the
TROY’S POVMy intense training in the gym was interrupted when one of my men rushed in, breathless and alarmed. “Alpha, there has been an attack on our land.”Who would dare to challenge us like this? I thought, anger flaring within me. Well, whoever they were, I was going to teach them a lesson. I was going to treat this interruption as an extension of my training regimen.I went outside to see my pack was already engaging in battle. Amidst the chaos, a distinct and enticing scent reached my senses, It was a smell I could not ignore. I walked towards the direction of this alluring pull trying to figure out where it was coming from until I stood face to face with her. Her presence hit me like a bolt of lightning. The most beautiful girl I had ever seen. Her blue hair flowed gracefully, and her golden eyes gleamed like the sun.Mate. The word echoed in my mind. She was my mate. Our eyes locked, and I could see the anger burning within her. “This ends now,” she declared as she moved t
The air was thick with shouts, and cries of women and children, and the sounds of clashing blades, lifeless bodies, and flames consumed my village. My eyes fixed on my father. “Run” he shouted, his eyes locking with mine, urging me to move. But shock rooted me to the spot, my feet heavy as if weighed down by the horror surrounding me.Just then, a large werewolf far larger than any I have ever seen emerged from the dark, his eyes shining steel. It lunged at my father, sticking him with a force that dropped him to his knees, in an instant his powerful jaw clamped into his neck ending his desperate plea. “ Stopppp” I cried out.“ Blue, Blue wakes up,” Alex said. I snapped my eyes open, gasping for air as if I had been submerged underwater. My body drenched in cold sweat. The nightmare still haunted me.“It’s just a dream,” Alex assured me. I felt Alex wrap his naked body around me and kiss my forehead, trying to comfort me.No, this was not just regular nightmares, This was a part o
BLAIR’S POV. “What the hell mom?” I screamed. “Really! I expected better from you,”“I'm sorry Blair. I thought maybe I would be able to make twice the money and get us out of poverty,” my mom replied weakly. I dragged my hair while pacing around the room, I could not believe this was the reason why our entire life was in danger all because of her careless act. At this point, I was starting to feel like the only responsible adult around here. “And now look at where we are? More than a hundred thousand dollars in debt, Mom! “ I exclaimed. “Not only that, our lives are on the line. We are completely fu cked, mom.” My mom looked at me with a sad look, she was just as sad as I was “Look Blair, I had the best intentions in mind. I planned to invest the money and then we no longer have to be poor and you can have a better life and don't have to work too,” she whispered. “Damn! I thought you were better than this mom. In what world do Ponzi schemes actually work for people? It's a scam
BLAIR’S POV.(AT STAR HEIGHT SCHOOL.)I just finished using the toilet and started washing my hands at the basin when Jessica and her brainless friends barged into the bathroom, laughing and giggling. Jessica positioned herself beside me, meticulously applying her signature pink glitter lip gloss. With a flick of her hair to the left and then to the right, Jessica turned to her friends. "Which side looks better? Left or right?"Her friends nodded in agreement, affirming that the current style suited her best."Are you sure? I feel like my features stand out more when my hair falls to the left," Jessica mused aloud, turning towards me as if noticing my presence for the first time. "Hey, Blair! I did not realise you were here."she said with a forced smile.“Yeah, just finishing up,” I replied.I felt a bit uncomfortable under Jessica’s scrutinising gaze. I quickly dried my hands and was making my way towards the exits when Jessica stopped me. "Wait, Blair, you can't just leave so soon.
