90: Don't play dumb

The first day of training was terrible. I got to the field as early as possible to avoid Jasmine's trouble. She could not hide her hate as she sighted me.

She walked over to me. In a low fierce tone, she said, “I'm gonna make your life miserable. It's a promise.”

I looked away as if I had not heard anything. We began training with various exercises. And at each point, Jasmine canceled me out.

“Hey, new girl! Step back, you are not getting it!”

I sighed and stepped back.

I did the 360-degree swirl and everyone cheered at how balanced I was. I could not help but smile at their hailings.

“Hey, newbie! What was that? Do you think this is a kid's game? Is that your definition of a swirl? Step back!” she yelled.

“And why is that?” I heard the coach's voice as she walked majestically to the field.

She looked around and acknowledged the greetings of some girls. She waved at me with a smile.
