CONFESSION PART ONE

Axel's pov.......

We needed a strategy to fish out our enemies so we would know who they really were. Been in the dark was very frustrating, someone had to take the blame for Mark:s death,someone had to be punished. I called a pack meeting and everyone was present. Sydney was also present even though I didn't want her to be here,only heaven knows if she is not working with the enemy.

when you said someone had to take the blame for Mark's punishment, I didn't know this was what you meant

'I never pushed the blame on her Sabastien'

you don't need to stand up and say you have pushed the whole blame on her before I know what you are thinking Axel,just cut that girl some slack

'I am cutting her some slack by letting her stay in my house'

I signed and addressed my pack mates "I called all of you here today so we can put our heads together and figure out who killed Mark and who our enemies are,we need to.......

"I have something to say" Sydney suddenly interrupted and I frowned."you don't interrupt me when am speaking Sydney, I......

"Am sorry my lord but what I have to say is really...really important". And she interrupted me again,what nerve she has

just let her speak,there is no need to make a fool of yourself

I crossed my arms and rolled my eyes "go on am sure it is very...very important". She nodded "it is my lord,it is about what really led to Mark's death" and that is all it took to get my whole attention,I unlaced my arms and leaned forward "then what are you waiting for,speak". She stood up and sighed "on that day,I told the girls,Jude and Mark that I had a bad feeling that something or someone was watching us outside in the forest so we should go check it out,the girls were too busy to go with me so Mark and Jude volunteered to go with me. When we got there, we saw a lot of dead bodies and I knew it was a vampire feast,Jude decided to go tell you guys while me and Mark stayed behind,just then I saw something moving in the bushes and as I was about to tell Mark to run away,someone stung with something sharp in my neck" Alia gasped "you didn't tell us about it,are you okay"

Sydney nodded "am fine as i was saying....I fell on my knees and when I looked up to see if Mark was alright,he was not there but standing in his place was who you could call my greatest enemy, someone I wished to kill. She told me she was going to hurt you guys and I couldn't risk that happening so I rushed and put my claws right through her stomach but I should never have done that,it was the greatest mistake I ever made" she stared at hands absent minded.

"Is she the one that killed Mark" I asked but she shook her head "not actually,my claws didn't actually go through her stomach, instead it went through Mark's stomach,how it happened i didn't know but one thing i knew was that she had tricked me. I tried to stop his bleeding when he collapsed but then she told me she had injected me with a substance that made my claws poisonous so there was no way Mark was gonna survive,she made me kill Mark" as she said that,tears rolled down her cheeks

There was a long silence in the room as I tried understanding what she had just explained.

"You killed Mark" I said standing up and stood up,everyone else stood up well everyone except Sia who was sitted staring at Sydney with great disbelief "why didn't you tell us that day"

"She didn't tell us because she was busy cooking up that story she just told us so she would be able to convince us that she was innocent"I quickly answered. Sydney shook her head "No that's not true at all, I did not tell you guys because I was not sure on how you guys were going to react". I chuckled "you can drop your pretence Sydney and stop lying cause everyone has seen your true colours. I should never have let you stay in my house,I should have just killed you the first day you were brought here but no...I let you stay here,I let you eat and sleep here and how did you repay me....you killed one of my friend, one of my pack mates"

More crocodile tears flowed down from her eyes "I swear I didn't kill Mark Axel, I told you what really happened". I paced around the room "No you told us a story you made up and expect us to believe but I clearly see through your charades,everything that happened was all part of your plans". Hunter walked up to me "you can't just accuse her Axel, I believe she is telling the truth". Selena nodded "Hunter is right,besides if she was lying then she wouldn't have told me the same story". I raised my brows at Selena "you knew about it and you didn't tell us"

"That doesn't matter,can't you see that this is exactly what the enemy wants, to turn us against each other". I pointed my fingers at Sydney "don't you guys get it that she's the enemy,she is the one planning on turning us against each other,are you guys so blind that you can't see it"

"I can't believe I trusted you Sydney" Sia mumbled

"Sia you have to believe me,am innocent" she defended and I frowned "believe you,there is nothing else to believe here Sydney so do you know what you are going do now,you're going to leave this house right now and never return"

"But Axel I......

"Get out Sydney before I do something we will both regret". Alia walked up to her to escort her outside but I glared at Alia "anyone who dares to walk out that door with her should forget about coming back". Alia stopped in her steps and Sydney nodded before she left. I faced the others "any of you that plan to keep staying in this house should never dare to speak that traitors name again,she is dead to everyone now". Selena frowned "how can you say that Axel".

I glared at her "you don't have the right to speak to me in that manner Selena,you knew the truth about Mark's death and you kept it from us,you didn't even tell me,you didn't even tell Hunter"

"Sydney did not approve of me doing that Axel"

"Sydney is not your best friend am your best friend, Hunter is your best friend we are suppose to matter to you more than anyone or anything else and you don't keep secret from your best friends Selena"

"So now am the one at fault,it was not my secret to tell"

I raised my voice at her "it's not even a secret Selena,the death of one of my friends and pack mate is not a secret and it can't be classified as one either" I raised my sleeve up to my shoulder and showed them the nine lines that were on my shoulder,seven were black,one was dimly red and the last one was scorching red"do you see this lines,each line represent each of my pack mates,the black ones for the ones alive and the red ones for the ones dead. That dim red one over there belonged to Silvar its dim because she died a long time ago now do you see the scorching red one over there,yes that line belonged to Mark and do you know how much it hurts, apart from the emotional breakdown I had to go through after his death, that red line hurts a lot and it still hurts a lot and now you are telling me that the truth of Mark's death is none of my concern". Selena expression suddenly changed to one of deep regret "am so sorry Axel,I didn't know about it"

"Of course you didn't,you just keep breaking my trust" and I left upstairs. When I got to my room, I showered and layed on my bed

i wonder where that vampire princess would go to now

'Don't tell me you are thinking about her, she will go stay with her accomplices of course'

and who told you she has an accomplice huh,you just threw that poor girl out of the house

'I can't believe you are still supporting her after what she did'

and what did she do Alpha,how about you tell me

'She killed Mark Sabastien, she killed the hunter you use to admire,my friend and the only hunter in my pack'

yes Axel I wouldn't lie I use to love that hunter and I still do till now, he was so innocent and may he make it to paradise but Sydney didn't kill him,you heard her story or do you want me to narrate it again for you

'A story she made up so we would believe her'

No a story you refuse to believe is true and it is true

I growled that's enough now Sabastien, just stop this nonsense, this is the last time you will speak on this issue okay'

suit yourself but do keep it in mind that you're going to regret the decision you made today one day and I hope it wouldn't be too late by then

I shook my head 'am not going to regret anything Sabastien because I know I made the right decision'.
