Chapter 72

The high-pitched scream that tore from Ismena's throat was ear-splitting. The pain was so excruciating that for a moment, Ismena felt so lightheaded, she thought she was gonna pass out. That part of her throbbed like she'd been split open by a hot knife.

She struggled against him, with the effort to separate her body from his, to put an end to this overwhelming pain but it was like trying to move a wall. She was openly sobbing now, her thighs twitching, her body shaking like a leaf.

Guilt and regret filled him at the agony on her face, the sound of her broken sobs. He'd never slept with a human—willingly—before. He can feel her pain. He'd known it would hurt but he never expected it to hurt this much.

"I'm sorry, Ena, so sorry," He said in a guttural groan, peppering kisses all over her face. Releasing one of her hands, he caressed her cheek, wiping her tears away.

It took everything he had to remain still above her while giving her time to adjust to him.

Tears wet her cheeks down t
