CHAPTER 65: ALEXANDER

I tried reaching out, I tried speaking but nothing was happening. I heard doors opening and closing but none of them could hear me no matter how much I screamed in my head.

‘Hello, hello,’ I kept saying in my head but nothing proved abortive.

Just when I thought it was all over, a woman stepped in with a bunch of other people. They dropped whatever they held and hummed a beautiful song for me. It was soothing, I wanted to just stand up and appreciate them for their thoughtful gift.

But wait, I had no idea what happened to me. Who was I? Why was I in bed? With all the beeping around me, I tried to remember where I was. I summoned all my strength to at least do something. Someone should be able to see me. I raised my right index finger, hoping to get attention.

“Doctor Henry, it's Alexander,” I heard a woman shout. Does she know me? Who was she? Why was she here?

Immediately I heard her shout, I was filled with joy knowing that what I aimed to achieve was achieved.
