Chapter 2: An opportunity 

She finally stood up from the ground, looked around, and then left.

Her name is Nora Remington, a lady of 24 years old with Emerald eyes and brown hair, she is from Fresno in California. 

Nora's flight time it's the same as Kieran but she decided to smell the environment of Fresno once before finally leaving for New York to start a new life.

She has a friend who lives in New York and is ready to find a job for Nora.

It was time for her flight; they passed each other at the airport, Nora took a regular flight while Kieran took a first-class flight meant for VIPs.

It will take about six hours, fifty-three minutes, and some seconds to arrive in New York.

The New York time zone is different from Fresno with about three hours ahead of Fresno meaning they will arrive in New York at night.

Kieran's driver was already waiting at the airport to drive his boss home, “Welcome back to New York boss, hope you enjoyed your stay in Fresno even if it's for a few hours?”

“No I didn't, order some food.” He ordered him and had his seat.

The driver wonder sometimes if his boss is truly gay or has health issues that he doesn't want to let out to the public, entering the car, Nora stopped him, “Good evening sir, I am sorry to interrupt but please I need directions.” She inquired politely, Kieran didn't take note of her as he was on an important call.

Kieran's driver directed her to the very spot she will get a bus to the place she is heading to, “Thank you very much, sir.”

He entered the car and apologized to Kieran for wasting time but he snubbed him because he was still talking with a producer over the call.

Kieran refuses his mother to employ a maid to cook for him, instead, he orders food himself or requests the driver to do so.

The huge mansion where he stays is as boring as hell, just the driver, the security around, and a few boys employed to maintain the environment in and out.

Nora found the bus and was happy, she just came in with a bag, she doesn't have much like every other girl because she isn't rich but ready to work to feed herself and her family.

“Hello Cathy, I am at the last bus stop, just stepped out of the bus some seconds ago.”

“I can see you.” Cathy smiled waving at her and she rushed to hug her.

“How was your trip?”

“Great, I love the weather in New York, so good,” Nora said with gestures.

“You can say that again.”

Cathy is a new friend Nora met at Fresno and assisted her when she lost her money to some petty thieves and decided to help Nora in return to get a decent job in New York where she lives.

They both had spicy ramen for dinner, “Thanks for the meal Cathy, it was so spicy.” Nora said, drinking from her glass of water.

“What are friends for, by the way, I found a job for you but don't know if you will like it.”

“Tell me about it.” She set her gaze at her friend.

“Well, it's just for three days, a shooting of a movie will be taking place featuring top celebrities and they need ladies to clean, serve them food and others expected from them and the pay is two hundred dollars per day.”

“OMG, I am so in, thank you Cathy.” She jumped up in excitement and hugged Cathy who smiled as well.

“So when do I start?" She inquired.

“Well, tomorrow but it's okay if you don't wish to start tomorrow.”

”Are you kidding me? I can't let this slip off my fingers, three days is up to six hundred dollars which I believe can rent a place so I won't make you feel uncomfortable.”

“And who said you are making me uncomfortable? Except you will be the one uncomfortable when my boyfriend comes over.”

“I came with this.” She shows her headphones and they both start laughing.

The next day, top celebrities from different countries came in for the film making holding their various scripts, the press was around and so many people wished to get their autograph as well but the security had a way of handling the crowd.

Nora took the subway to get there and she met other ladies like her who could not stop gossiping about the actors they are having a crush on and wished they had a nightstand.

The head of the team came and introduced herself as Mrs. Beauty after which she shared with them their different tasks, luckily for Nora, she will be with the celebrities and some girls envied her.

“You over there.” One of the female actresses pointed at Nora who rushed to her saying, “Yes ma'am.”

“Get me coffee.”

“What kind of coffee do you like ma'am?" 

“Latte with almond milk.”

“Will get it asap ma'am.” She let out a smile and then many errands were required from her by the celebrity.

“It feels so good to be among stars like them, I wish I could be one myself.” She talked to herself while watching the recording of a scene.

Nora loves acting but the majority of the people she met in Fresno want her to offer her body so she decided to close that chapter of her life.

Still watching the actors acting, something else caught her attention, she saw a lady shouting at some crew and she walked close to listen.

“Why him? Do you want me to be embarrassed by him? Who wrote this damn script?”

“We are sorry.”

“I don't need your sorry, why him? They are other handsome men celebrities your boss could have given this role to, I am done, and don't call me.” The lady yelled and left.

One of the crew members who called the boss started shivering, “What did the boss say?”

“We find someone to fit in or else we lose our jobs.”

“We are differently losing our job, after everything no lady will want to take the role with him, no one.” They complained.

“I will love to take it if you don't mind, I have a little talent when it comes to acting,” Nora said and they all gazed at her.
