Christian's POV

"You are saying he threatened you." Nigel asked for the umpteenth time and I rolled my eyes in utter frustration and anger.

"Yes, he threatened me and threatened to do something to Makaila. I just don't know what." I scratched my temple.

"He threatened to do something to Makaila and you let her go with him?! Are you this daft, Christian." Nigel asked rhetorically and I groaned.

"What was I supposed to do?! Tell her she couldn't tutor the new guy? Even if I did that, what would be my reasons?" I asked him and he sighed.

"Maybe you should just tell her what happened between both of you." He suggested and I scoffed.

"Then, her notion about me from the beginning would be right. I rather not tell her anything. It's better if she doesn't know."

"And risk her hearing from Jackson's side? Christian, use your head!" Nigel snap

Christian's POVI followed behind as Makaila was wheeled into the hospital. She had already lost consciousness but she was connected to oxygen to keep her breathing. I held her hand and kept whispering to her that everything was going to be fine even though she couldn't hear me. Nigel had followed behind. As Makaila was about to be wheeled into the theatre, a nurse stopped me. "I'm sorry but you can't go in with her. You have to stay out here" The nurse said and I frowned at her. Every rational thought had escaped from my mind when Makaila called so at the moment I wasn't thinking. "What the fuck do you mean! I have to go inside. She needs me there." I snapped at her and she flinched. Then she called a male doctor close by to hold me back. "Please, you have to calm down. Our doctors would try everything to make sure she is okay." A male doctor told me. I was going to argue with hi

Christian's POVSoon Makaila got back on her feet, tho with a little limping. While Rita was still checking with her parents if Makaila could live with them, I asked her to live with me. She firstly declined because of Bethany. Though I tried to assure Makaila that Bethany wasn't a threat, I felt that she was going to be, especially after the episode of last time. Makaila agreed anyway. To avoid suspicion, Nigel would come every morning to pick her up. Not that it mattered because Bethany has started avoiding me, hanging out with the cheerleaders and the team. Tyler and the guys were also avoiding me. Football season wasn't close by so I didn't have to face them at practice. Let's not forget Jackson. I've been keeping my eyes out for him but he didn't seem to be doing anything bad at the point. That even made it sketchier. I became really protective of Makaila. Nigel as well.

Makaila's POV"How are you not an Art Major? You are really good at literature." Jackson said and I let out a light chuckle. We were taking a break from study and Jackson went us to get something to eat from Starbucks. I told him not to, but he insisted. "I am just doing it for extra credit. I'm working towards getting a scholarship to study at a very good university." I stated and he nodded in understanding. "Plus, it was either this or AP government. I hate government." I added and he laughed. "Yeah, I hate government as well." He said and I chuckled, putting one French fries in my mouth and chewing on it. I could feel him watching me but I didn't look at him. "You know it's impolite to stare." I told him, still not looking at him. I heard him chuckle. "I'm just trying to figure you out, Makaila. You still haven't told me about you." He folded his hands across his ch

"Tell me about you and Jackson's history." She deadpan, leaving me awestruck. ______________________________________I didn't move. I was so dumbfounded by Makaila's question and I blamed myself for not thinking she would ask that question. Makaila was smart, very smart actually. I can't just tell her to stay away from someone and then the person goes erratic today and I wouldn't tell her why. She deserved to know anyway. She was already in the middle of it. But it was so hard. "Christian." Her soft, velvety voice jerked me out of my reverie and I looked at her. "I wa

Makaila's POV"Holy shit!" Rita exclaimed as soon as I told her about the kiss. Knowing Rita she would probably scream it out of the whole school to hear so I quickly palmed her mouth to muffle her scream of excitement. "Keep your voice down Rita. You want the whole school to hear you? They would have my head." I hissed at her. "I'm so sorry. I am just so excited. Finally, my prayers have being answered." She let out a dramatic sigh of relief and I rolled my eyes at her, trying to stop the smile from spreading on my lips. "Why are you so dramatic? For all I know it was just a kiss, nothing more." I acted like it was a normal stuff. But it certainly wasn't a normal thing. I mean, I just got my first kiss, from the guy I am falling for. "Was it? Was it really?" Rita raised an eyebrow at me. Okay, it wasn't a Normal kiss. It was fantastic. Christian is a fantastic kisser

Christian's POV"How the hell did he know that Makaila stays in your house?!" Nigel snapped as soon as I told him what went down with Jackson. I shrugged, still shocked and baffled."I have absolutely no clue." I replied, running my fingers through my hair. "He just said it like he knew my biggest secret." I added and Nigel scoffed."Well basically, it is your biggest secret. That and the fact that you are actually falling for Makaila." I looked at him, a new found shock written all over my face. He scoffed again and folded his hands across his chest."Don't give me that look, lover boy. I see the way you look at her, even a blind man can see the way you look at her. You are falling for her." He smirked and I rubbed the back of my neck nervously."Why do you make it sound like it's such a bad thing to fall for Makaila." I asked him but he shook his head."No, I am not saying it like it's such a bad thing." He clarified and I nodded. "It's a good thing, a really good thing. I'm actually

Christian's POVI haven't been the same since Makaila left. I've tried reaching across to her, at least to talk to her and explain myself but she avoided me like I was a plague. It was frustrating. The worst part of it all was that Bethany had succeeded in latching herself on to me like a leech and I had no way of telling her off. It was then I began to see what Makaila had been talking about.Even though I had absolutely no feelings for Bethany, I'll still choose her over everything. And that was a terrible thing.Something I needed to stop desperately.Nigel and Rita were also giving me attitude, especially Rita. She was going really extra about it and it was scary to bits. Jackson wouldn't stop looking at me with a certain sardonic smirk on his lips and though I tried to act nonchalant about it, I had a terrible feelin

Makaila's POVI couldn't stop thinking about the little moment Christian and I had at Nigel's house, in my room. I still couldn't believe that Christian had confessed that he was in love with me, after everything that happened between us. After that day, I became even more confused and I didn't know what to make of the entire situation.I barely saw him at school. He didn't sit with his team mates in the cafeteria and the classes we shared together, I barely saw him there. It was pretty frustrating. I wanted us to talk. No, I needed us to talk. We needed to work things out. I began to feel really guilty for pushing him away. Tyler was having a party and the entire school was going to be in attendance, especially Christian. As much as I wanted to speak to Christian, I was having second thoughts about attending the party. Rita came over to Nigel's house so they could get ready and go together. She been

Recap from the previous Chapter... Christian came out of surgery the next morning and was taken to his private room. Though he was still induced in Coma, the Doctor assured us that everything was fine. Rose had told me to go home and freshen up since I've been in the hospital three days without having my bath. I heed and went home to have my bath and change. I was just wearing my jeans pants when a call came in. I checked and saw it was Nigel. I picked it up. "Nigel?" I said."Makaila, we need you to get to the hospital right now. Something is terribly wrong." He suddenly said. My eyes went wide as saucers and I almost fainted. No this isn't happening! "What?!" I exclaimed, hoping I was hearing wrongly. "Christian is not breathing well." He stated and I could hear the quiver in his voice. My heart almost stopped. "The Doctor said there are some

Recap from previous chapter... That was until we all heard a sound of several gun shots. We looked and saw Dennis with a gun in his hand. His hands were not cuffed anymore and he had tackled and killed some police men. The gun in his hand was directly pointed at Makaila who seemed frozen in fear as she couldn't move. Nigel held Rita close to his body as some sort of protection. I guess I spoke to soon. "Dennis, what are you doing?" I snapped at him. He shot the gun to the air several times and then pointed it at me which made me back down for a moment "Shut up, pretty boy!" He glared. Guns from several police where pointed at him but no one could shoot because he had his gun pointed to Makaila. Anything could happen. Dennis pointed the gun back at Makaila. "I should have gotten rid of you when I had the chance.""Why?!" Makaila w

It wasn't so comfortable because my hands are tied but I have missed Christian so much. I thought I would never see him again. He pulled back and touched his forehead to mine, using his thumb to clean my tears. "Look what they did to you." He cooed, inspecting my body. I chuckled through my tears and made him look at me. "I'm fine, but you need to explain what is going on to me. I got your note two weeks ago and and after that, there was nothing. What's going on?" I asked at him eagerly, desperately pleading for an explanation. Christian pulled me closer to his body and held me. "Baby, calm down. This is all Nigel's plan to get you out. "Look at you. You could have gotten me when you had the chance." He said. "Thanks but no thanks. I think I am better off this way." I smirked at him. "You are arrogant but I know you want me. You are a fücking whore taunting me with those cloths that you wear." He growled out but I looked on, not saying any word. That seemed to irritate him. "Christian is not coming to save you. The police men and I had just conducted another search for Makaila to no avail. I groaned in anger and I clenched my fist in anger, frustration, sadness and fear.Nigel and Rita had taken their turn in searching everywhere. Makaila's mum was safe in her hotel room with the police men on guard at every nook and cranny suddenly took my keys, entered my car and zoomed off to my favourite bar. I need something to drink, something, anything to get my mind off this whole situation. I got there and went to the stand."One shot." I told the bar tender. He nodded and served me.I drank it in one gulp and suddenly started to feel light headed. I suddenly felt the urge to cry. I could not imagine anything happening to Makaila. Nigel and I came up with a ridiculous but genius plan and that was, we would be following her everywhere she goes,Without her consent, that is. We had to do it that way because we were certain that if she get to know what we are planning, she would kill the both of us, literally. But we had to do it because it was for her own good. It seemed like the only way, I am sure to keep her safe. I don't want to loose her. Not now, Not ever. I love her. The police were also available to keep watch around the house, any day but the weekends. They were doing their own investigations and trying to keep tabs on everything.
