chapter 8

KIARA POV

It was a private airplane specifically used for skydiving. I can't believe the surprise was a skydiving date. I was literally stunned. Not only that, but I could not believe that this man just planned a skydiving date within just a few hours after I told him that it was one of my most loved hobbies.

I mean this was outstanding, but it was also crazy, I mean who just plans a skydiving date within hours and actually gets it done. Even my family would not be able to pull this off, it would take at least 4 days for them to get everything ready, this is just beyond words.

“Surprising little princess,” Xander said.

I was still amazed at what I was seeing and didn't bother to reply to him.

Seeing how I was stunned, he then dragged me towards the airplane and then said, “stop staring and get inside.”

We boarded the plane and then took off to air. I was so excited since it had been quite a while since I had skydived.

There was only one instructor, since we both already knew how to skydive.

I looked through and could only find one large skydiving suitcase.

“Are you not also skydiving with me, Xander,” I asked curiously.

“Of course I am dear,” He replied.

“ Well, then why is there only one suitcase?” I asked.

“Well, that's because it's a couple suit, little princess," He said with a smirk.

Ohh my I know what that smirk means, a couple suit so does that mean we both have to be in the same coloured suit together throughout the dive.

I knew I would not just do all these without a catch and here it is, I can't believe I have to literally be so close to him while I drop ten thousand feet above the ground.

“Seriously you could have just gotten us a separate coloured diving suit you know,” I said in a state of annoyance.

He held me and took me towards the suit area and said“Yeah, but we are married, and this suit is for couples, and it will be much more fun little princess.”

We got dressed and then wore the couple parachute suits together and sure all the belts were tightly sealed, we then waited a few minutes until we got to the exact drop point then the guide said.

“Hope all the safe belt has been sealed tightly, you are to drop in 3…2…1…”

And immediately we jumped down and oh my was it amazing, it had been so long I had felt this free.

Xander and I were sealed tight to each other, and he held my waist tight even with that.

It was one of the most daring skydives I had ever taken, and the thrill was to die. I screamed my lungs out as we went closer back to the ground, and it seemed like Xander was enjoying it too.

We finally started to see the end point, and then we both faced each other and pulled the parachute simultaneously.

We landed safely, and they got out of the suit.

“Okay, that was amazing,”I voiced out.

“Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it, little princess," Xander said with a smile.

Okay, this time I'm cool with him calling me little princess.

We made our way back to the car and then drove back home, throughout the whole ride back all I could think about was the fantastic feeling I had diving the sky.

We got back home ,made our way inside, and then I spoke.

“Xander, thank you for today, I truly enjoyed the surprise."

“My pleasure, little princess,” he responded with a smirk on his face, and then he grabbed me close to him.

And out of nowhere, a dagger flew through the window and went straight right past me to the large mirror in the living room.

My reflexes kicked in, and I immediately pulled a dagger I hid in my sleeves and hurled it through the window.

Xander immediately covered me in case of another attack but seemed like the assassin ran away, only little blood was found in the glass shards.

“An attack, but who would dare try that now?” I asked in rage.

“ I don't know yet, but we have to leave here now, this place is definitely not safe.”

“Okay, I just need to get something's."

“No Kiara, we need to leave now, we don't know if there are other assassins here now,”

We immediately left and made our way to the Cress house. I seriously did not think my honeymoon would not even last a week, not like I care, but still, I almost died.

I must find who sent that attack.it didn't take that long, and we arrived at his place, and we're greeted by faces that were unfamiliar to me.

“Kiara, this is my younger brother Daniel and my closest aid, Lilly,” Xander said.

“ I didn't think we would meet so soon and not in, but it's a pleasure to meet you, Kiara,” Daniel said as he stretched his hands to shake me.

“And you too, Daniel,” I replied as I accepted his handshake.

“And nice to meet you, Lilly," I said with a smile.

" Likewise,” she replied with a straight face.

She didn't really seem to like me, but now is not the time to think about that.

“Lilly what have you found," Xander asked as we all went inside.

“I already gathered a list of groups that would be able to try this kind of attack, but I can't certainly say any of them did this,” she responded, handing him the list.

“I also don't think any of them did too, they know the risk and even if they wanted to attack, it wouldn't be today ."

“Kiara, can you think of anyone who would try to harm you or Xander for any reason at all?” Daniel asked.

“No, not really, I know plenty of groups were against our union, but I don't think any of them would dare make such an attack except…”

Oh no way, it can't be him right?
