Crazy Best Friends

Rosie changed out of the hospital scrubs and went to her bathroom to wash her hands. The day has been so hectic, she's been in the operating room all morning.

After she was done, she heard her phone ringing and pushed the washroom open entering her office. With a sigh, she grabbed her phone from the office desk and swiped the receive button. She had an unenthusiastic expression, but her gloomy mood didn't affect her beauty one bit.

"What? It's 6 pm and I just clocked out of the operating room ten minutes ago." She had the expression of one who would sleep any moment from now.

"Oh, please fu*king snap out of it Rosie! How long do you want to remain a virgin? You need to experience spring!" Stacy yelled back, clenching the phone and venting her pent-up anger.

"This is the hundredth time you are saying this in three months, Stace." Rosie groaned and grabbed her hair, frustration written all over her face.

When she tried to speak again, the office telephone rang blaringly, and Rosie sighed for the ninth time today.

"Come on, I need a break, my body feels sore…" She grumbled loudly.

"Well, doctors aren't lazy." Stacy snickered.

Rosie wore a fake smile and commented, “Thanks for the indirect compliment, Stace. Got to go, call you in an hour or so."

She picked up the call with a weary voice. "Who?"

"Miss Rose, a patient sibling by the name Helen, brought her sibling to be operated on, but she insisted that you come personally to her." The nurse covered the speaker and spoke softly, she was dressed all wealthy and had been causing a fuss for over twenty minutes."

"I will be there." She hung up the call and headed out of her office, putting on her doctor's coat, looking all dignified, her sexy curves couldn't be hidden even in an attire like that, Rosie has the femme fatale body and appearance, it's no wonder she has many male admirers and female haters literally.

Rosie tilted her head as she approached the hallway where the fussing visitor was situated.

"What is the problem?" She dragged the last words, showing how unenthusiastic she is.

"So you are the owner of this hospital? I heard you are the second-best surgeon in Georgia with many award records and many different specialities in regards to being a surgeon." She insinuated.

"Doesn't your brother need surgery at the moment?" At this point, she couldn't help but inwardly roll her eyes. 'Urgh, I need a break!' She muttered inwardly, still maintaining a cold expression.

Helen blabbered for five whole minutes and realized that the woman she was talking to seemed unenthusiastic and her mood dampened.

"You're acting all arrogant, do you think you are that great?" Helen questioned puffing up her chest.

'Is she short-circuited?' Rosie shook her head in dismay, it's unfortunate that she isn't a psychologist.

"Sighs… Miss… uhm, Helen, with the time wasted talking about these meaningless things, I would have operated on your brother, but it seemed that your purpose is not that, so could I trouble you to walk out of that large door over there?" Rosie pointed at the exit door and Helen widened her eyes in shock, pointing back at herself, wondering if Rosie was referring to her.

'Are doctors this mean to their patients these days?' Helen couldn't help. But blink her eyes.

Rosie blinked back at Helen, confirming her guess.

"I can report this to the media and your hospital might short down!" Helen fumed, giving Rosie the Do you know who I am?” look.

"Well, I am not afraid of rumours, it's not the first time my name appeared in the tabloids I have other subsidiary hospitals in which I can work if this one shuts down. Even if they all shut down, the money I made from them in six years is enough to sustain me my whole life." She listed with a bored expression.

Helen gasped, the rumours are true, Miss Rose is crazy! Her thinking and mental faculties are really…

Rosie blinked her eyes innocently, well, having been associated with Stacy, she realized she had become crazier as days went by.

"As a doctor, don't you care about the lives of people?" Helen asked with wide eyes.

"I care about people's lives more than you think, that's why I decided to be a doctor. I could've become a CEO if I wanted, but I chose this profession. Yes, it's tiresome to be a doctor frankly speaking, but seeing people relieved of pain and discomfort brings me a great sense of happiness and comfort here." Rosie placed her palms on her heart and declared.

Helen was still in shock and Rosie added, "You have caused a fuss in my hospital, do the needful and leave. In three days, I will be done with your brother's surgery." Rosie bowed slightly and walked out of the hall.

Helen smiled awkwardly but then turned and stared at Rosie's back. 'She is so tough huh?' she said switching off the recorder on her clothes.

Little did Rosie know that this interesting drama would be out in the tabloids the next day.

Rosie ran a test on Helen's brother and noted that his surgery could be done in two days without delay.

She sighed and trotted towards her office in fatigue.

sat on the swivel chair and massaged the base of her neck for a while, her fingers working magic as she made sure to press the necessary acupoints.

Her phone rang again and she lazily stared at it for a while, the name displayed on the screen brought her back to reality.

"Shit!"

She hesitated for a while, perspiring for no reason. She sighed before picking it up.

"Mom?"

"Where is my son-in-law? Rosie, how old are you? Why don't you want to move on from that fool? I just checked your drawers and I saw the gifts he gave you two years ago! Why would you keep that?" Her mom's voice was so loud that Rosie had to distance the phone from her ears a bit.

"Mom, I forgot to get rid of it," Rosie said massaging her temples.

"I don't care, but I'm going to burn all this trash right now!" Marilyn said. She had always been controlling.

Rosie breathed in twice and tried to tame her anger before replying in a low voice.

"Mom, leave it be, when I come home, I will do them myself. Ok?"

"You should better, I will never accept a fully grown and sexy daughter like mine to be hung up on a man that's not worth it." Marilyn's tone softened and she sighed over the phone.

"Don't worry Mom." The call ended soon after, and immediately, Rosie grabbed her dark blue curly hair upset. "F*ck my life! F*ck you, Stanley! You sc*mbag!" She looked pissed and uneasy.

Her phone rang again and it was Stacy calling.

"Ya! I'm not In the mood to talk trash with you, you must better have something important to tell me." Rosie yelled over the phone, venting her frustration.

"Cut the crap. I'm downstairs in the parking lot of your hospital. Come down, let's go clubbing." Stacy yelled back at her.

They are always like this.

"Ya, who agreed to go clubbing with you? Stace wake up from that dream!" Rosie bit back.

"It's none of my business, you are going clubbing with me tonight," Stacy smirked, clearly happy at Rosie's frustration.

"I'm not going!" Rosie whined.

"Well, watch as I set your precious hospital on fire, wanna try?" Stacy blinked, allowing the threat to sink into Rosie's mind.

As assumed, Rosie was shocked! This bestie of hers is so crazy.

"Who knows, maybe you are feeling itchy down there? Wanna b*ng someone?" Rosie replied without a filter.

"Rosie, you better come downstairs, and yes, perhaps you are right, I'm already feeling itchy down there," Stacy replied nonchalantly.

"You have no ethics!" Rosie shivered in irritation, goosebumps all over her skin.

"Is there anyone more shameless than you? You always have a weird thinking faculty, so since I have no ethics, be careful that I don't corrupt you more." Stacy chuckled and lit a cigarette, but stopped when she saw the 'Do not smoke' post. Grimacing, she threw it on the floor and squeezed it with her boots in exasperation.

'Damn hospital rules.'

She just had to abide by this one rule, because it's a hospital.

Rosie suddenly sighed one last time over the phone and Stacy rolled her eyes.

"Can you stop sighing and get your a*s down here?"

"My a*s doesn't do the walking, my leg does. Will be down in fifteen minutes."

While Rosie has a weird thinking faculty, Stacy has a weird ethics. She never gave a fuck about rules. The probability of Stacy being a little psycho is greater…

Well, one is crazy, the other is a little psycho. But who is crazy, and who’s the psycho?
