(Serena's POV)

Just as I was about to fall asleep, a knock on the door startled me, and I instantly placed my feet on the floor and stepped away from the bed. It's Marcus. He only came to ask if I'm alright.

I responded that I have a headache while striding back to the bed, he nodded and still stood by the wall, directly staring at me, not even hiding that he was.

"What...?" I trailed off, getting uncomfortable at his stare, causing me not to dare look at him.

He sighs. "You heard."

"Huh?"

"I breathed in your scent before the elevator closes." He confronted.

"I didn't hear anything," I uttered before turning my back to him.

"Hmm..." I feel the bed sink in behind me, then arms wrapped around my waist, inhaling his masculine scent. "I really plan to marry you but I didn't expect Suzy will be doing first."

"So, you didn't know about her marrying that guy?" I questioned.

"Nope." He took a deep breath before snuggling his face into my neck.
