Terrified that his crimes against Eloise would be exposed, Dallas hid her body by sealing it into the wall of Caroline's home. He planned to wait until it was discovered and pin the blame on Caroline. After all, dead people couldn't talk, and there would be no way to trace it back to him.

However, when he found out the building was slated for demolition, he dug up her body and moved it. He hid her remains beneath the floorboards of my villa while I was hospitalized. Then, when Martha returned, he buried her alongside my daughter.

As for my assets, Dallas exploited my unstable mental state. He bribed caretakers at the psychiatric hospital to use facial recognition and fingerprints to fabricate evidence of the transfers into Callum's name.

After the plane crash and the airline declaring all passengers deceased, Dallas presented a "will" that Callum had allegedly written three years earlier. In the will, Callum had pledged to donate all his assets to the school.

When I returned from my trip, I saw my daughter's teacher walking out of our villa. Calmly, I sent a message to my husband, Callum Verna. "Send me the code to the front door."The phone rang immediately, and I heard Callum saying, "Honey, where are you? I'll come pick you up."I glanced at the swaying silhouette of the young teacher and pretended to stay composed. "I just realized the door code was changed, so I went to the store. I'm just a few steps away now."Shortly after the call ended, the door opened. Only then did I realize Callum was home. A faint annoyance rose in me.I had watched as the teacher brought my daughter, Eloise Verna, home. She had unlocked the door, gone inside, and then come out two hours later. Two whole hours. That was plenty of time for a lot to happen. I hadn't expected to be so patient as to wait, nor did I expect that she could linger in my house for so long.A kindergarten teacher with a class of more than 20 students—if each student required a two

I didn't press Callum for answers, but my cold demeanor was enough to make him spill whatever he was willing to share."When we enrolled Eloise, we had to fill out a questionnaire. Considering our unique situation, I thought it was better to keep things discreet, so I listed her as coming from a single-parent family."If you want to know about Eloise's progress, let me handle it and contact her homeroom teacher directly. There's no need to involve the principal."Though I still had doubts, I thought his explanation seemed reasonable enough. From the moment Eloise was born, I had meticulously planned her education, from kindergarten to university.I invested a significant amount of money to purchase this international kindergarten, even renaming it Elove Kindergarten. I secured one of its limited spots for her, but because she was still so young, I didn't want her to attract undue attention or be exploited. For that reason, I kept my ownership of the school private. Both Callum and

When we got home, I didn't rush to confront Callum. Instead, he shamelessly tried to smooth things over. "Honey, this can't possibly be my fault, right? That teacher was out of line, but how can you blame me for her lack of judgment?"I ignored him. It wouldn't be long before I found out if there was more to this than met the eye anyway."This villa feels boring after living here so long. I've arranged for it to be renovated and refreshed with a new design. In the meantime, we'll move to the apartment on Fernland Road. It's closer to the kindergarten."For some reason, the villa gave me an eerie feeling since I'd returned. Or perhaps it was Caroline's casual, almost proprietary attitude that made me uncomfortable. But a change of style would fix it, I reassured myself.Callum hesitated before asking, "But, honey, will you really be comfortable living there?""Why? Are you too attached to this villa? Or is there some other reason? If so, feel free to stay here," I replied sharply.

"As a teacher, you should act like one. Do you think your behavior is professional? I'll be reporting this to the principal to let her decide if your actions are appropriate," I said firmly.Caroline remained unfazed by my words. "Go ahead and report me. Every other child and parent likes me—why is it only you who has a problem with me? Let's see what the principal will actually do to me."With that, she turned and walked into the classroom, taking Eloise with her. Fuming, I got into the car and immediately called the principal. On the other end, Natalia Ferguson sounded somewhat surprised as she answered my call. "Mrs. Verna? What a surprise to hear from you so early. Is everything alright?"I kept my tone calm. "Natalia, when you pitched this kindergarten to me, you went on and on about your strong faculty and innovative philosophy. That's the only reason I agreed to take over and keep you on as the principal."Now, I'm questioning whether my daughter is being brainwashed by one

I was furious. I stepped forward, pulled Eloise into my arms, and handed her to Martha. Once Eloise was safely taken into the room, I slapped Caroline across the face."Is this how you educate children?" I demanded. The sharp sound of the slap had just echoed when Callum walked in. He quickly positioned himself between Caroline and me, his tone tinged with reproach. "Honey, what on earth are you doing?"Caroline's eyes filled with tears, her expression pitiful as she complained, "Mr. Verna, I was just doing my job. Your wife didn't even try to understand and just hit me. What did I do wrong?"Callum frowned as he looked at me, disapproval written all over his face. "Honey, why couldn't you just talk it out? How could you resort to physical violence? Ms. Carol is always so dedicated to the children. You'll hurt her feelings by doing this."I glared at both of them. "Dedicated? She told Eloise I'm dead. Is that what you call dedication?"Callum froze for a moment before turning to

I snapped. "What nonsense! God! How hard can it be to fire a morally corrupt teacher?"Natalia's tone turned serious. "Mrs. Verna, how could I make up something like this? Less than two months after she started working, she died in a car accident. The school supervisor even visited her family in the countryside to offer condolences."My mind went blank, like a thunderclap had gone off in my head. I was too stunned to speak. There had to be some kind of a mistake. I quickly called Callum to come home and discussed the matter with him.He looked exasperated. "Honey, I swear, I kept my boundaries with Ms. Carol. There's no need for this wild speculation. She's a living person—how could she possibly be dead?"And besides, she's been really good to Eloise. Isn't it inappropriate to curse her like this? Honestly, if it's such a problem, why not transfer our daughter to a different school? It'll save you from overthinking all the time and keep me from getting distracted from real work."

The situation was shrouded in mystery, but I knew verifying the truth wouldn't be difficult. Whoever was lurking in the shadows, toying with me and my daughter, I would make sure they pay the price.Since I couldn't reach Callum, I decided to put him aside for now. Instead, I quietly followed my daughter to her new school. What I saw with my own eyes was unsettling. The new kindergarten teacher wasn't Caroline, and there was no one named Caroline Stetson on the staff. Then why was Eloise saying Caroline was the one playing with her every day? Something didn't add up.I then returned to Elove Kindergarten and sought out the vice principal, Sasha Sutton, to ask about Caroline's background. Sasha confirmed that the school once had a teacher named Caroline Stetson, but she died in a car accident. As for my daughter's former homeroom teacher, her name was Celine Tatum. She was affectionately called "Ms. Celine" or "Ms. C" by the children.No. This just wasn't right! Then why did the wo
