Attack

Upon returning to the house, Jhon and his wife got out of the carriage that was bringing them. However, they saw a man walking towards them. It was Arturo, the apprentice who worked a few months ago as the doctor's assistant, he looked a little bad, he had longer hair and a badly manicured beard. 

"What are you doing here, traitor?" Said the Jhon to him.

"I came to apologize to you, I made a mistake for telling the royal guards what happened, they forced me to talk."

"Don't come back to this house. Because of you they may kill Jade Get out of here!"

Jhon was very angry, his wife took him by the arm and tried to calm him down, she didn't want him to fight or get agitated, she saw him very upset. His look was kind of scary and reflected that hatred.

Arturo left the house a little embarrassed, avoided looking him in the eyes and ran out, but he generated a bad atmosphere in that place. The doctor had about 7 people working in his house, 4 maids and sometimes 3 nurses who came every day to learn, since usually one or two people came to be treated. The man felt he could not confide things of his intimacy to anyone, only in his beloved wife.

They both entered their home. Jhon felt as if he had been stabbed in the back, plus he was worried, he didn't know if the blood moon really affected his wife or if it was just people's inventions. So as he led the way to the living room, he gave an order to his senior maid.

"Please Carmen arrange a room for several people, please send for the nurses, they will take care of everything tonight."

"Yes, sir" Said that woman.

Jade did not understand what was happening, but he looked at her and spoke to her.

"Tell me something, Jade, how did you feel yesterday?"

"A little distressed, I didn't like that moonlight."

"I think it's best if you stay out of the moonlight and stay in a room. There the king's guards are going to be there, if you feel unwell, just tell me. I'm willing to leave the city with you."

Jade grabbed him by the shoulder and came clean.

"Don't worry, I'm fine, I didn't feel anything yesterday."

Her words didn't generate calmness, they only worried him, he thought about having to lock himself with her at that moment, but he had to wait for the guards to show up and they themselves would see that Jade wasn't the Lycan that assaulted people yesterday. He said a few words to keep her from going somewhere else and waiting for him there.

"I'll be back in a moment."

Jade stayed in the room and sat down, she was a little dizzy, she was a little bored by what happened with the king. The constant threats had her a little anxious. She just hoped that the night would be a little quieter and that it wasn't true what was being rumored around.

Night came, and the moon was about to fully rise over the entire city. Everyone locked themselves indoors to prevent anyone from ending up hurt. Jhon looked out the window of the room he was in. He didn't see anything out of the ordinary, so he was calm. 

He looked at the room where he was standing next to his wife and the two royal guards. Both were armed and had armor protecting them.

Jade was sitting on a bed waiting for the doctor's orders. However, as he was heading towards her, the moonlight came out completely for a moment and his heart skipped a beat. He thought his wife would transform at that moment, but it was not so, she was as if nothing had happened.

The guards looked at each other. They thought about killing her, but seeing that she was still in her human form, they felt they were wasting their time. A strange echo startled everyone. It was all happening in a somewhat remote place, but through the loneliness of the streets it could be heard as an echo. The guards and Jhon looked out the window and saw a person running here. With wounds on his arm. It was normal, they healed people here. However, a Lycan was following him as if he was an unreasoning animal. It's out of control, it had completely black fur like a panther.

The doctor tried to go down and warn his employees not to open the door. Likewise, the guards who were there also came down to kill the beast.

Jhon tried to go to see what was going on, but Jade grabbed his hand. She didn't want him to risk himself like that.

"Leave them, please."

However, the screams of one of their maidservants were heard, no matter what, they both left the room and tried to go downstairs.

The couple arrived in the room where they found a horrible sight, their maid was injured, her leg was somewhat scratched, the person running from the beast was dead, and the guards were being killed.

The Lycan saw the couple and did not hesitate to go to them. Jhon threw his wife to the side, so that nothing would happen to her. However, he was slammed against one of the walls of the house. The Lycan slowly walked towards him. As if he felt pleasure at seeing him like this, but Jade began to lose control as she saw that her husband was about to be killed. She promised him that she was never going to transform in front of someone other than him; however, in a matter of seconds he was already in humanoid form like a Lycan, his hair strangely turned white and his eyes red. It looked like a slightly larger wolf than the others, only it was standing like a person, and it lunged towards the beast with terrifying fury.

The black-haired Lycan was rammed and slammed into the wall. Jade lunged towards it and clawed it with her claws several times in the chest and gave it deep wounds. Blood and fur fell to the floor; however, the beast did not stand still. It reacted immediately and threw the girl suddenly a few meters forward. The Lycan fled with serious injuries. She did not hesitate to chase him out of the house.

Jhon got up from the floor, somewhat worried, walked out the door and shouted her name.

"Jadeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

It was already too late, the girl was far away, and she was concentrating on killing that beast.

He looked at one of the guards and spoke to him.

"Get up and tell your friends not to do anything to the white haired Lycan."

"I'm hurt, you must help me!"

"If they kill Jade, tomorrow we could all die. She saved us!"

The guard gasped from the pain, but he knew it was the only way to save people. Jhon grabbed his arm and tried to fix it a little.

Seeing that his arm was back in position. The man stood up and spoke to the doctor.

"Okay, I'm going to warn everyone."

Jhon walked to the room where the sick people he had sent for were. He knocked on the door and someone opened it.

  

"Please attend to the wounded."

He was too worried about his wife, who was not able to attend to anyone. He didn't know whether to run and expose himself to another Lycan attack. If he died, his wife would be left to the king's decision, and she would be killed. So he decided to wait. However, the wolves appeared and entered the house. The alpha of that pack was at that moment in his human form.

"What happened?"

"A Lycan broke into the house, he was chasing someone and almost killed us all. Jade transformed and is following him. The guards can kill her too."

"I see, tell me she, does she recognize you or does she not control herself?"

"She recognizes me."

"Well, I accompany you along with some of my pack."

Eight people were next to him and some guards who were apparently watching them. They all started to make the search through the city.

Almost all night, a search was made throughout the city. No one could find either of the two Lycans. Until they saw one of them walking as if nothing in front of them. Jade had white hair and was not violent, so no one approached her, but she had some wounds made by the other Lycan on her body.

Jhon seeing her took off the jacket she had on. He knew she was exhausted and at any moment she would return to her human form and be naked in front of everyone.

The doctor walked up to her and tried to talk to her. However, the Lycan fainted before she could talk to him and slowly returned to her human form. He covered her with his jacket and tried to carry her home. 

However, some guards surrounded him with their guns.

"Let go of that beast!"

"She's my wife, she's tired. I have to take her away."

"Put that monster down!"

The wolves looked at the guards aggressively and intimidated them. They all lowered their weapons and let the man take Jade away. 

He was a little anxious, he didn't want to talk, or look at anyone else. He walked home escorted by the wolves; however, there were too many royal guards and any incident could happen. Surprisingly, in front of everything appeared the king. He was dressed in some kind of pajamas, apparently he had been called.

"Hey, royal guards, leave that couple alone, I'll take care of them tomorrow. You'd better keep looking for the other one, I've already been informed of some things that happened, don't waste your time. We have to find that beast. It's still wounded, it's our chance to end this."

The guards stopped bothering, Jhon could walk calmer, but he was very worried about what would happen tomorrow. He just hoped they would find the other Lycan, so this wouldn't happen again. He walked again with Jade in his arms and made an impressive effort to keep walking, while the wolves escorted him. Many people looked out the window and watched the scene. 

Jhon just wanted to get home quickly, but his legs and arms were a bit tired, and he felt some pain from the blow against the wall he suffered a few hours ago, but a lot depended on him. So he kept walking with the little strength he had left, while little by little he saw how he was getting closer to his home.
