Olive's POV
I woke up on a soft sheet as a streak of sunlight trickled in through the window.
Slowly and reluctantly, I opened my eyes. I blinked several times to clear the hazy vision as I scrutinized my surroundings in confusion. And then, I found myself in Vincent’s room.
‘What happened last night?’
I sat up, but my head throbbed, and the gravity was hard to fight against. I barely moved up while trying to recall last night’s event.
“Last night, Vincent and I were on our way back home. It was r-raining, and he was driving fast. Then…”
Then… what?
My fingers brushed against the bandage wrapped around my head, triggering a sudden surge of memories.
‘Woman, blood, accident…’
While I was trying to put the puzzles together,, it was then I heard the news on the television which was left on.
["Earlier today, a devastating hit-and-run incident occurred in Westford.”]
My eyes were glued to the TV screen while my hands regained their vigor and I continued to listen.
[“It appears that the driver responsible for this accident fled the scene, leaving no trace behind. The victim was brought to the hospital, but she was dead on arrival, and…"]
‘Hit and run.’
‘Westford.’
My heart pounded when the unspeakable horrific deeds Vincent had done last night flashed back in my mind like thunder. It left me utterly stunned, and my hand instinctively covered my mouth to stifle any audible reaction.
The news clearly stated that the victim had died, so Vincent failed to save her after I lost means, Vincent failed to save her after I lost my consciousness.
‘Did he really leave her behind?’
Unable to finish the news report, I hopped out of bed, determined to find Vincent and hear his whole story. Along the way, I encountered Grace, the Omega maid, who works for Vincent’s family.
She blocked my way with a grimace painted on her freckled face. “M-Miss Olive. Are you alright?” Grace asked.
“Where’s Vincent? I really need to see him right now.”
“He’s in his parent’s room. They were discussing important matters.” Grace held my shoulders. “But Miss, Sir Vincent said to keep you inside the room because you were severely injured. Please, go back in and rest.”
Despite her opposition, I shook her hands off and firmly stated, “NO. I HAD TO GO. Please don’t block my way.”
Grace had no choice but to move aside and let me go. Swiftly, I hastened towards Alpha’s room as my mind raced with a vortex of emotions.
Standing next to the room, the door was slightly open. While I still have the courage to face everything head-on, I reached the doorknob but stopped when a screeching voice of terror reverberated from the room.
“WE WARNED YOU ENOUGH, VINCENT! BUT YOU DIDN’T LISTEN! AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED!”
I felt a rising tide of fear from my head to toe the second I recognized the source of that frantic voice. Slowly, I peeked inside and saw Vincent’s mother, Luna Rose.
“Nothing happened, Mom,” Vincent rebuked. He was lounging comfortably on the couch while his parents stood before him. “I came back as a whole. No fractures or dislocation. So, calm down.”
“You clearly know this is not what I was talking about, Vincent,” Rose shot back. “YOU KILLED SOMEONE.”
“And not just anyone, son. IT WAS VERA!” Even Vincent’s father chimed in, “She was engaged to Lycan Aaron. Do you know what that means? If they find out you're responsible for her death, it'll cause a major uproar in our pack."
Vincent said the same thing when I asked him to take Vera to the hospital. They were worried about the Pack, notwithstanding that someone had died. It pained me so much, considering how Vera suffered alone, slowly dying on the road.
‘But I know I could only think of this because I am not Vincent. I don’t have a Pack to lead and to protect.’
“Aaron is not just any Lycan,” Vincent’s father continued. “He is powerful, and his family holds considerable sway. Aaron could wipe us out, along with our entire pack, whenever he damn well pleases.”
Vincent’s father, George, didn’t look fazed at all. He seemed so calm, but his voice was dread cold, showing the severity of this case.
"Vincent, you're the future Alpha of our pack. Why didn't you consider the consequences before engaging in such reckless behavior? You couldn't even be bothered to help Vera and ensure she survived," Vincent's mother spoke, her voice escalating slightly.
“And then what, Mom?” Vincent chided, “If I brought her to the hospital and she died, would that keep me out of jail for reckless driving and our pack safe from Aaron? Even if she survives, I will be left scathed.”
"That's what you should have thought about before sneaking out with that Olive for the mating ceremony!"
"Mom, could you please lower your voice? Olive's asleep in the next room. How do you think she'd react if she heard you?"
"I don't care about how your little girl reacts! If she hadn't persuaded you to drive her to the ceremony in the first place, none of this would've happened."
"Mom! Don't talk about Olive like that. It's not her fault. Okay? I asked Olive to come with me to the mating ceremony.”
“You insisted on her?” George interjected abruptly. “You f*cking know that Olive is underage, and she’s not permitted to come. YET YOU DID.” There was sarcasm at the end of his tone, which brought a shiver to my spine.
“W-Well,” Vincent stuttered as if his reasoning started to crumble. “It is just f-for fun! Yeah. Olive is my girlfriend, and she might also be my Luna. I am the future Alpha so I can bring anyone I want to the ceremony. That’s what I… thought.”
“Luna. Huh!” An abrupt scoff slipped out of his mother’s mouth. “Your father and I don’t want that OLIVE for you. And you knew why. She’s a nobody and of course, a 'nobody' like her would not fit to be part of our Pack. Her werewolf blood isn't even pure."
"Mother, please, we've had this discussion already. I don't want to debate again who I'll choose as my Luna once I become the pack's Alpha, because you damn well know who I've chosen."
Despite Vincent's decision to make me his mate and Luna, I knew his parents would never accept me. It was just heart-wrenching that they couldn't see the depth of my love for their son, and how I tried my best to show my worth as the future Alpha’s woman.
To make matters worse, they had to bring up the fact that I wasn't even a pure-blooded werewolf, as if it disqualified me from being their son's chosen one.
Feeling the heavy weight in my heart, I went back to Vincent’s room. I don’t think I can continue listening to their conversation.
Sitting on the bed, I saw my phone on the table. It has a crack on it, perhaps because of the impact of the accident last night. I checked my phone to see if it was still working. It still does.
‘Who shall I call?’
I thought of two people.
First, the police. And second, my grandma.
‘Grandma?’
“That’s right! Grandma had no idea what happened to me last night!”
She’s probably waiting for my call!
Hastily, I looked at my phone call histories and saw Grandma’s voice messages.
[“Olive, my little pumpkin. Grandma is worried. Where are you?”]
[“Please call me, okay?”]
[“Dear, I saw the news about the car accident. I was praying it wasn’t you.”
Grandma panicked. My all-nighter must have driven her nuts, and I was so stupid for recalling it belatedly.
And so, I dialed Grandma’s number. A few rings after, she picked up the call.
“G-Grandma,” my voice cracked, and tears welled up.
[“Olive, my little pumpkin! Goodness gracious, I’ve been freaking out all night! Where are you?”]
Hearing her voice gave me extra strength and instant relief. “G-Grandma, I’m fine. But something bad happened.”
[“W-What happened, sweetheart? Grandma is listening.”]
"The accident on the news, it was me and Vincent," I sobbed.
["God, are you hurt?"] Grandma's first concern was if I got hurt, and that just made me more distraught.
"Bumped my head. But that wasn’t a big deal. Physically I am fine but… but…”
I cried hysterically, covering my mouth as I remembered Vera lying on the ground and covered with blood. Nausea swirling inside me, I hugged myself, trembling.
Breathing heavily, I gulped with difficulty. Grandma was still on the other line, listening.
“Grandma, what should I do?” I asked, weeping. “I really wanted to save Vera. But… my head was bleeding and I passed out. When I woke up, I… I just heard the news that she died.”
[“Oh my, may the Moon Goddess forgive our sins. I know it is hard to cope with this. But Olive, a life was taken because of a mistake. And you must face this head-on,” Grandma said, her voice like a broken phonograph.]
Although Grandma showed her perturb, she let me realize what I should do right now. And that is…
“I… I will go to the police station and confess everything, Grandma.”
I shut my eyes, and tears fell.
“No matter what happens, please stay with me. I really need your support.”
"Are you going to turn me in?"
I heard a voice behind me. The phone in my hand had gone missing and when I looked back, Vincent stood. He was holding my phone, and his expression was sunless, lacking any light.
Olive's POV“ANSWER ME, OLIVE. Are you going to turn me in?”My mouth opened and closed several times, wanting to argue with him, but failed to do so. I looked at my phone in his hand. Vincent hung up the call, and without Grandma’s encouragement to choose the right path, telling Vincent what we had to do, felt like swallowing thousands of needles.I was muted while staring into his solemn eyes, sorrowful and gloomy, as if he was already betrayed when I hadn’t done anything yet.“Please, Olive. Can you just think about me?” Vincent asked, clutching my phone tightly as he stepped closer.I stepped backward. My emotions were in stormy clouds, I drowned in water that was only up to my ankle. Oh, how hard it is to agree to something very wrong and vicious!“She was Lycan’s girlfriend. Do you have any idea what will happen to me if you turn me in?”He grabbed my arm and pulled me closer. With a looming gasp, I looked up. His sardonic face was colored black and white. It is an expression of
Olive's POVThe clouds were dark when the cold handcuffs slapped around my wrists.I looked up at the sky.‘Did I imagine getting arrested by the cops with a crime I never committed?’ Everything seemed surreal when I found myself sitting on the back seat of the police cruiser. Houses, cars, and people outside window, I cherished each of them knowing that it would be a long time before I would see those sights again. Having these thoughts, the answer to my question came clear.‘I wasn’t born a rule breaker. But for the man I love, I broke my own rule.’ “Get out.”My mind was hazy when the door of the police cab opened. What waiting before me was a gloomy concrete building for people seeking forgiveness for their sins. And I had to go through with it. For Vincent, for the pack, and for my grandma.‘Vincent will take care of my grandma.’ His promise, a solace for my flickering hope, gave me courage to step in and enter the police station.Walking into the bustling lobby of the police
Olive's POVI am not heading to prison, but to a place worse than that. **“Ahh!”The police pushed me behind, I stumbled forward inside the car. When the door closed and the car started moving, I gazed out the window. The courthouse faded in my sight. I felt my heart in booming thunder as I bewilderedly looked back at Aaron.“W-What is the meaning of this?” I asked.I crawled backward into the very corner with my hands still together, handcuffed.Sneering, Aaron responded with sarcasm and contempt.“It is what you can see. I am giving you the right punishment. Serving two years for killing Vera? That’s b*llshit. The Juvenile protection laws are too merciful. Don’t you think so?”I bit my lip until the fishy taste lingered on my tongue. Despite feeling hatred towards Aaron, I couldn’t bring myself to scorn him.‘Why would I? I killed her girlfriend. I am nothing but a murderer in his eyes.’ Vincent was right. Spending years in prison would not comfort a Lycan like Aaron. He might ha
Olive's POV‘Grandma. You gave my name ‘Olive’, right? Why did you choose Olive?’ “Because the word ‘Olive’ is another way to love someone without having to say love.”“Really? Then, if I want to say I love you too Grandma, I can just tell you ‘Olive you’?” “Oh my silly pumpkin. Who taught you to be this adorable? Of course, dear.”“Olive you, Grandma. Thank you for giving me the sweetest name.” “Olive you too, baby. I pray to the Goddess Moon to give you a life apparent to your name.” Notwithstanding being a half-breed, my grandma treated me like the most wonderful person ever. For that, I had promised to live up to the name she bestowed on me. But one day, the name I have been treasuring ages ago vanished. Four digits replaced the meaningful “Olive”, only to remind me of the crime I witnessed that rainy night.“0315! Are you listening?!”Physically incapable, I looked at the maid who called me with the inmate number, showcasing my position as Vera’s murderer.Absolutely grimace,
Aaron's POV“Take off your clothes.”Her widened eyes showcased perplexity at my request. When I saw that reaction, and the way her snow-like skin blushed like a ripened tomato, there was a turmoil inside of me.I could not help but watch how her brown hair fell beautifully despite getting tousled. Her green eyes, round shape, and downturned corners evoked a strong sense of gentleness, and they complement her glass skin. Her appearance, and small stature – she barely reached my chin – made her look more ethereal than anyone I laid my eyes on. And her strong odor, f*ck, it was like a mixture of nectarines, freesia, and roses. I had never smelled anything like this before, and I was entranced. My wolf, Zack, was so excited that he kept on urging me to pull her closer and kiss her right away.‘I can’t resist her smell, Aaron. Go and get her!’ Damn it. What a great irony that the Alpha Lycan’s partner was his girlfriend’s murderer!‘Shut the f*ck up, Zack. You know how much I detest thi
Aaron’s POV“0315!”As I called out the name of my prisoner, an eerie silence permeated the room, causing a growing sense of unease within me.My wolf, Zack, intuitively picked up on my agitation as he grew anxious deep in me. Despite my attempts to stay rational and composed, my body betrayed me, and I found myself impulsively rushing towards the bathroom door to investigate the unsettling silence. It was then that I realized why my mate’s scent got weaker. 0315 was lying on the ground and was unconscious. She didn’t even finish wearing the clothes I prepared for her to wear. Holding the shirt with one hand, she’s lying on cold ceramic tiles with only her brassier and undergarment.I shouldn’t feel empathy towards my girlfriend’s murderer. But when I saw that delicate woman looking so weak, I let out a massive roar with my Alpha voice.I rushed over and quickly held her in my arms. She felt like she would snap like a twig if I were careless.“Angelica! Angelica!”Upon my summons, the

I chose this path and even studied abroad to fulfill my promise to a friend.‘I will be the best Pack’s Doctor so I can treat my friend’s Grandmother.’ Therefore, I planned to search for my friend and visit her soon as I returned to my country and went home. However, I received an urgent call from Alpha Lycan’s castle.[“We need the best Pack’s doctor to treat the Lycan’s prisoner! Come quick!”]The Pack’s hospital recommended I take over the situation as they believed I could satisfy the Alpha’s needs. The other doctors told me I should be careful dealing with the Alpha because he’s not in the right state. The Lycan’s Alpha’s girlfriend died recently together with their unborn baby. Aaron’s POVThe opulent beam of moonlight cascaded through the ajar window of the guest chamber. I stood by the window, enraptured by the full moon's radiance, reminiscing about the nights I spent admiring the celestial splendor with my beloved Vera.Wasn’t it three months ago?We ventured into the guest room and spent a pleasurable night together. After that, we stood beside the window and discussed our dream future.“It was three months ago. And Vera was three months pregnant when she died,” I said to myself before grinding my teeth in madness and pain.Reflecting on the tragic event, my heart ached with empathy for Vera and her loved ones. Vera's life was cut short three months ago, and she was three months pregnant at the time. The thought of her untimely passing filled me with a deep sense of sorrow and anguish. And yet, I wanted to remember all the memories I have with her to remind myself whom I should seek revenge for. But then, I couldn’t stop thinking about my prisoner, 0315
Olive’s POV The night of the mating ceremony. Vera’s death. Being Aaron’s prisoner. Suffering in his castle. Finding out Vincent’s betrayal. Losing my Grandmother. Loving Aaron. Marrying him. My lost memories. Being fooled by Griffin. Finding out my memories. And marrying Aaron again. Years have passed since my life took a complete 180-degree turn, transitioning from a captive to becoming the beloved of my redemption. As I reflected on that chapter of my life, a wave of emotions washed over me. “Mum! Come and see! I found the most beautiful caterpillar!” I shift my gaze towards the source of the voice, spotting an adorable little boy sprinting towards me. With his jet-black hair, round eyes, rosy cheeks, and vibrant red lips, it’s evident that he takes after his father, Aaron, the Alpha Lycan of the Silver Moon Pack. This charming child is none other than Arve, my firstborn. “Oh my, Arve, that looks absolutely adorable,” I exclaimed, unable to contain my laughter. “But
Olive’s POV “Aaron is fine,” Griffin shared the good news. Hearing that, my knees gave in, and I fell, sitting on the bench near Aaron’s hospital room. Anna sat beside me and patted my back. Meanwhile, Asmund asked Griffin, “Was he really poisoned?” I looked up at Griffin and listened to his answer. “Yes. It seemed he took the poison before the fight. Fortunately, he was strong. If he had been a little bit late, the poison might have taken his life. And…” Griffin couldn’t continue his words as Asmund grabbed his collar. “YOU SH*T. ARE YOU F*CKING SURE THAT YOU WEREN’T INTO IT? You were so desperate to win this fight and steal Olive once again. I wouldn’t doubt that you planned this with the Elders.” However, Anna disagreed, “I don’t think so.” Everyone’s gazes turned to Anna. She stood up and explained, “Look at him right now, Asmund.” Asmund let go of Griffin’s collar and observed his situation. He was wounded, and some parts of his body were bleeding. “He wasn’t
Olive’s POV In my room, I paced back and forth, anxiously waiting for news of the battle. It seemed like neither side had suffered any casualties yet. I pondered, “What should I do to put an end to this fight?” As I thought deeper, an idea struck me - I could hurt myself. “If I pretend to be injured, maybe they will stop fighting,” I mused. I scanned my room for something I could use, but the servants had removed all sharp objects after I had used a vase to harm myself. “Maybe I can break a hanger and use it,” I thought, quickly opening a cabinet. Without wasting a moment, I swiftly opened a cabinet, aware that time was of the essence. As I scanned the contents of the cabinet, my attention was drawn to a mysterious box nestled inside. Curiosity piqued, I couldn’t help but wonder what purpose the box served. Acting on instinct, I reached out and slowly opened it, revealing a torn white dress that had been meticulously sewn. My mind raced as I recognized the dress. “This is…” S
Third Person’s POV “Wolf out, and let’s have a real fight,” Griffin said as he wiped the blood on his lips. “We can’t just play around. You knew why I came here, and that is to steal your wife again.” Aaron’s smile faded, and he took a shallow breath, meeting Griffin’s gaze with an impassive silence. “I’ll snatch Olive away from you,” Griffin persisted. In an instant, Aaron’s killer instinct kicked in, evident to everyone around him. His gaze transformed, no longer gentle but filled with a fiery determination. His bride. His woman. His chosen mate. As Griffin threatened to steal Olive once again, Aaron’s wolf emerged, his deep blue eyes devoid of mercy. Griffin already knew what was coming next. He swiftly shifted into his wolf form, and in an instant, a massive black wolf stood before him. Everyone’s eyes widened as they felt a sense of fear wash over them upon seeing the magnificent black wolf. Beta Xyrus, Griffin’s father, witnessed the transformation of the Alpha Lycan
Olive’s POV Days went by, and the anticipated showdown between Griffin and Aaron finally arrived. The clash was set to take place in the training hall of Aaron’s castle, a grand venue capable of accommodating a vast number of spectators. Even from the confines of my room, the resounding cheers of the eager crowd reached my ears, signaling the imminent commencement of the battle. However, amidst the excitement, I found myself overwhelmed with a sense of despair. “I couldn’t prevent this,” I whispered softly, my hands tightly clenched in my lap. Deep down, I dreaded the thought of Griffin meeting his demise at the hands of Aaron, the very person I had grown to love despite the absence of my memories. Determined to take action before it was too late, I made my way to Griffin’s clinic prior to the commencement of the fight. “Griffin?” I called out. As I entered the room, my eyes met Griffin’s figure standing by the window. He turned towards me, a warm smile gracing his face. “Hell
Olive’s POVAaron’s insistence made me feel uneasy about suddenly wearing a wedding dress. However, I reluctantly agreed and put on the stunning white gown. As the serving lady pulled back the curtain, I prepared myself for Aaron’s reaction. His eyes widened at first, but then a gentle smile spread across his face. “You look beautiful in it, my dear wife,” he said.Blushing, I couldn’t meet his gaze and felt the warmth on my cheeks.“It looks great on her, Sir Aaron,” the serving lady remarked. “Although, we’ll have to make some alterations to the dress. It’s a tad too large for her.”“Really?” Aaron responded.I interjected, “Hmm, there’s no need to adjust it for my size. I don’t even plan on...”...wearing it. That’s what I wanted to say. However, Aaron interrupted me and suggested, “Then, let’s change the size. We might find a use for it in the future.”I have to despise the idea of marrying him again, but I couldn’t say anything in response.“I’ll go check the measurements. Could
Olive’s POV Ever since my encounter with Aaron in the training hall, we have not met for a few more days. I heard he was busy training, and he didn’t want anyone to bother him. But all of a sudden, I was told that Aaron wanted to hang out with me outside the castle. That’s how I found myself sitting in the back seat of the car, with Aaron sitting beside me. Sitting in the back seat, I looked outside the window of the car. The sight outside looked wide and free. “Don’t even think of escaping, Olive,” Aaron said. I turned my head to him and caught him looking at me. “I know what you’re thinking right now,” he murmured, staring at the same window I was looking before. “How wide and free it was outside my castle. However, I won’t let you go.” Suddenly, I felt his hand holding mine. “Just wait until I win the fight. Then, I will show you the whole world. For now, stay with me and me alone,” he whispered, intertwining his fingers around mine. Oddly, even when he clearly told me t
Griffin’s POV Upon standing in front of my father, I was met with an intense slap that sent me staggering backward. The force of the blow was so powerful that it left me momentarily disoriented. “What were you thinking?” my father shouted, his voice filled with anger and disappointment. I lowered my head, silently listening to his words. “Our ancestor vowed to stay loyal to Aaron’s bloodline! I protected our family by bowing my head under their family! Why do you have to do this? Why did you challenge Aaron for a duel?!” “You don’t have to worry, Father,” I said, wiping the blood that smeared on my lips. I looked at him and said, “I made an additional deal with Lycan Aaron. My sin is my sin alone. My family won’t be punished along with me. And…” But before I could finish my sentence, my father forcefully grabbed my collar and pulled me closer, cutting off my words. “You fool! Do you think I was only worried about our family? I am… also worried about you!” father shouted. My ey
Olive’s POV I hardly got any rest. The news about Griffin and Aaron’s impending fight had been revealed, and it appeared that there was no way to call it off. The fear of one of them losing their life weighed heavily on my mind, making it impossible for me to find sleep. The following day, I felt incredibly unsettled and exhausted. I spent the entire day anxiously waiting for Aaron to return from work, desperately hoping that I could somehow persuade him otherwise. However, upon visiting his room, I discovered that he was nowhere to be found. “Are you looking for Lycan Aaron?” the head maid, who saw me leaving Aaron’s room, asked. “Yes, I was looking for him. Do you happen to know where he is?” I replied. “Lycan Aaron went to the training room of this castle.” “He’s already home? Since when?” “Almost three hours ago, Luna Olive.” He had been in the castle three hours ago, yet he didn’t make an effort to see me. ‘That means Aaron was avoiding me.’ Was it because he knew I wou
