Detective Marks POVWatching the coffee shop was boring, ever since they took Soma back to London I haven't had any fun. I was bored and wanted to go back to London myself, but I knew the Vampire King was planning things and he told me to stay here and keep tabs on the werewolves and Nick. Seeing Nick walk into the coffee shop, he was going to try and do something. I didn’t need him giving Oliver any information I needed to stop it. But going into the coffee shop was a bad idea, I didn’t know how many werewolves were there, and I didn’t want to take a chance of getting myself killed because the werewolves lost their Luna.I stayed in my car, I was able to see Nick talking to someone, but I don’t think it was the Stone brothers because Nick was told to sit down and wait. So Oliver wasn't at the coffee shop, either he was planning something stupid or sulking because he didn’t get to have his mate after all. It was awesome that he lost the only thing he would care about. My phone rang an
Oliver’s POVWhen I found out Nick was back in the states, part of me was happy, but the other part of me remembered what he did when I went crazy. I knew he was just protecting Soma, but when he gave her over to the Lycan King I wasn't sure how I felt. I still felt like he did it out of protecting her, but I still won’t trust him until he proves to me that he is on our side and not using us to make a promotion in his rank.“Alpha a vampire and someone else is at the edge of our property.” one of my warriors linked me.“I’m on the way, I need others to come. This is the vampire that is responsible for taking our Luna. He isn't to be harmed, we just want the boy.” I said before shifting and heading to the edge of our lands.I knew it was Nick and most likely Marks. I needed to stop Marks from doing anything to Nick until I figured out if he was on our site or not. I ran as fast as I could, it only took about a minute to get there. I could see them, Nick was conscious and being stuffed
Soma’s POVI didn’t want to listen, I wanted to find out more about this pending war. I didn’t want to be in the middle of things if they got out of hand. Walking around the castle, it felt like I was going in circles, I wasn't sure which way to go back to my room, so I continued to wander.I wanted to turn back and go back the way I came, but it seemed I managed to get myself lost and that wasn't a good thing. I stopped to rest for a little while, I wasn't sure why I was so tired, maybe it was due to all the stress or because it was close to morning. So far the vampires haven't kept their word about attacking unless they are attacking now and haven't found me.I knew if that was the case I would have to keep wandering until I came across someone that would help me get back, I hoped the other Lycans were as friendly as the one that took me back to my room earlier.“Hey!” a man growled walking over to me. “You are not supposed to be here!” he stopped in front of me.“I know, I was tryi
Soma’s POVMy heart was racing, I wasn't sure which way to go. I knew going in any direction could lead me into King Gideon’s guards, I was afraid to be caught, but I knew it was something that could happen, I had to be prepared, my body was exhausted but it wasn't time to sleep, I had to move.Sounds of howling all around me, I wasn't sure if it was because they finally figured out that I was out and about, or because the vampires were attacking. It didn’t matter I had to move.Running blind in the dark was almost impossible, I knew it was only a matter of time before they caught up to me and force me to become the Queen. I didn’t want what King Gideon was offering, I wanted to go home. I missed home.Tripping over something big, I smashed my face into the ground. I’m sure I’m bleeding on my forehead, I try to get up and my body fails. I was beyond exhausted, and scared. I could hear things around me but I wasn't sure how far they were or if they knew where I was.The howling got clo
Soma’s POVI quickly got out of bed and went to the window. I knew taking a chance and running was a bad idea, but I couldn’t take a chance. I opened the window and looked down, it was colder than it was before, but I had to take the chance. I wasn't sure if King Gideon was expecting this again, but I couldn’t just sit here and wait for them to make a decision that I couldn’t get out of.Climbing out the window, I made it to ground level before I felt a pair of hands grab me from behind, I screamed.“You are either stupid or thinking I wasn't expecting you to do this,” he said pulling me closer. “I left your room as a test, I came here,” he whispered in my ear. “Come on let’s go back to your room,” he said pulling me away from the darkness and back into the castle.“I don’t belong here.” I snapped at him. “I wish you would just let me go!”“Can't do that Princess,” he said forcing me up the stairs and back into my room. He walked over to the window and locked it.As he was locking the
Oliver’s POVIt took everything I had to control Drew when he heard King Gideon tried to mark her he wanted to take over and go to London. I knew we had to get a plan in place, we couldn’t go in there without a plan.“Calm down Drew,” I warned. “You know the last time you tried to take over I shut you out.” I gritted my teeth before I felt him disappear in the back of my head. I was glad he wasn't as strong as he wanted, I was too weak right now to control him. I missed my mate, and the fact the Council thought it would be wise she was with their King made my blood run cold.I was glad Soma was as strong as she was, she was probably scared and that made me mad. I knew King Gideon didn’t love her and wouldn't. He had a mate out there somewhere, and he was trying to steal mine. I wanted his heart in my hand and I wanted him to utter my name before he took his last breath.Maybe it would be me that took his life, I wasn't sure but I knew I would be the one that went after him for his lus
Nick’s POVMaking it to Oliver’s pack lands I was exhausted, I was glad he didn’t hold anything against me. I was still a little worried about how he was going to be once she was back with him. I wanted to be in her life, but I knew she wouldn't have much time to mess around in the world when she became his Luna. I understood the whole werewolf world, I was able to research it while King Nathaniel was in charge, after he was taken from his position King Gideon had everything destroyed. He didn’t want anyone knowing anything about them, but in reality, the werewolves were peaceful people and I wished we were one instead of Lycans. Lycans only cared about one thing and that was power, something every one of them would do to betray each other just for that short-term power, it made me sick of calling myself a Lycan. Not being able to move around because of the poison Detective Marks forced into my blood was making me mad. I wanted to talk to Oliver and clear the air, but I knew I had to
Soma’s POV“Let me go!” I growled clawing at him, but it didn’t seem like it mattered. Was this his Lycan and he was not in control anymore?“You smell divine,” he smirked, his teeth were changing, my heart was racing I wasn't sure what I could do. I knew overpowering him wasn't going to work, and that was a bad thing. I looked in both directions, but I knew I had to get out of his hold before I could escape.“Please let me go!” I whined again trying to free myself, but his strength seemed like it was getting stronger.“Now why would I do that, you know just as well as I do you are fair game,” he said pulling me closer to him. “I am going to make you mine!”“Roman!” a voice boomed through the hallway, he instantly let go of me. “Why are you hurting the Princess?”“Sorry King Gideon, she was trying to get away,” he muttered.“No, I wasn't!” I growled. “He wanted to show me around the castle, and then this happened,” I said pulling away from him. “I cannot trust you, please take me back
