Chapter 70

Nathaniel’s POV

Wanting to get a glimpse of my daughter, I knew she was around. I wasn't sure how I was going to get in touch with her to talk to her. When Gideon told me she was here, my heart hurt. I knew I had failed her, her mother and I thought putting her in the human world would do good for her, but now that I look back on our choice we were dumb for doing it.

“So King Gideon wants me to show you where you stay,” Nick said coming up to me.

I knew the kid from when he was little, he was a good kid. He was smart and he wanted to honor the crown, I wasn't entirely sure why he was here with King Gideon, but I didn’t have the patience to ask nor did I care.

“So what's your story?” I asked as we walked. “What happened after I was exiled from here?”

“Lots of things,” he said looking at me. “But everyone went into hiding when Gideon took over, he caused a lot of problems and a lot of people to die.”
