We arrived at Chadwick's pack, very beautiful but paled in comparison to the splendor of the Lycan pack.

Just like any shifter pack, it had a huge fortress and several towers where guards stood watch.

Archibald and his convoy joined us, just because I wanted to make a statement to these bastard wolves. Chadwick's relatives wanted him dead and if I wasn't present in his life, he'd be buried six feet under.

A few of the warriors came to greet us. None of them could dare to fully approach or confront us. Talk about Lycan power.

We drove through the gates, which were open and we entered the courtyard, surrounded by massive walls.

Chadwick directed us to his family mansion and sent for his relatives, some of whom I recognized. When they saw King Archibald in their building, they tried to keep their fragile control but I could tell that their confidence was shaken.

“What a pleasant surprise,” the oldest of them bowed respectfully to King Archibald. “Welcome to our humble home “
