******Myra’s POV******

In order to escape giving an answer to that question, I had pretended to be sleepy and lay back down to make him leave.

It worked and he finally left the room.

When I opened my eyes again, Lira's amused voice followed next.

"That was one good way to send him away, but you know you can't keep ignoring him. You have to eventually see and talk to him."

"Of course I know, but not now." I sighed.

"I'll have to stay in this room for quite some time." I added exhaustedly.

Lira protested immediately, "You can't stay in this room and do nothing. You'll have to leave this room to find the old witch!" She reminded me.

I remembered in an instant and sighed in defeat.

"Alright, I'll leave to find her."

"And you have to get up now." She added without wasting time. I clenched my fist, trying not to say anything to her. She was a Lycan after all.

"Lira, it's late already. Can I go tomorrow?" I asked instead. Lira remained quiet for a while before giving a small hum of approval.

I hurriedly lay back down on my bed and closed my eyes as if to sleep.

Tomorrow, I would try to figure out a way to go about this entire thing.

I stayed still on the bed till the next morning and I couldn't sleep at all.

I gritted my teeth in anger, seeing that the sun had already risen in the horizon.

I slowly climbed out of bed and straight to the bathroom.

After having a quick shower, I walked out of the bathroom and straight to what I guessed was the dressing room.

There were tons of dresses hanging in there and lots of shoes on the rack. Alpha Reign does spoil his wife a lot, but I still couldn't figure out why she loathed him in return.

Unlike she who grew up as an Omega, she had nothing except two dresses which were already worn out.

"You don't need to rush to get to the witch's place." Lira suddenly said and I raised a questioning brow.

"Why?"

"Today is Saturday, everyone in the pack knows that Adeline would often go to the library to study. She would never miss it, even if she were sick. So on this day, Adeline would visit the library and you have to go since you're inhabiting her body." She explained to my surprise.

Adeline would visit the library on Saturdays?

But how will I hide the fact that I am not Adeline from everyone?

"Do not worry about that, no one would be in the library except you." Lira added and I let out a breath I didn't know I had been holding.

If really I would be the only one at the library, then I would consider going there.

"What time does she normally go there?"

"10 minutes from now." Was all she said and I cursed.

I walked over to the dressing table to let my hair lose from the bun it was tied up in.

"Leave it that way, Adeline never lets her hair down."  Lira quipped again before I could reach the bound.

I sighed, letting go of the bound after hearing her words. I took in a deep refreshing breath again to calm my nerves as I walked towards the door.

Before I could reach for the handle, someone already opened the door and in walked Adeline's maid.

"Greetings, Luna Adeline." She bowed politely and I was so close to giving a bow as well. I was so used to serving others that it felt weird for someone to serve me.

"Hi." Was all I could awkwardly say.

She smiled and said, "The library is ready, but his highness says you need to take some rest for today."

"Tell him I'm fine." I returned, trying to sound strong.

The maid nodded and led the way towards the library. The entire MoonCrest packhouse alone looked like a little City.

From the grandeur to the opulent walls and ground. The chandelier's and everything else stood out.

The maid led me directly to the library and what I saw next was unexpected.

The Wildwood Pack library was nothing compared to the one before me. It had so many books that one would never get tired of reading.

Once the maid had arranged everything I needed, she turned around and left me alone.

Now left alone, I decided to at least pry into books that had some flashy titles.

Just when I got interested In one of the them, I heard the door to the library being pushed open and someone walking into the library.

I frowned at that and got up to my feet.

"Lira, you said no one would come here." I pointed out.

"Yes, no one should come here when you're in the library,"

"Then who just walked in?" I asked confused and she gasped.

My heart beat suddenly accelerated when I heard the sound.

"It's…. Mate, Alpha Reign, he is here."

At those words, I froze in my tracks.

Reign was here?

Oh no, I wasn't ready to see him. I wasn't prepared at all!

Just when I thought I could make a run for it, I turned around to leave, only to see him standing there and staring at me.

His tall muscular figure and handsome face made my heart beat faster than usual. He was just so good looking, but I had to stop ogling someone's husband.

When I didn't move nor avert my gaze from his, he smiled at me. But that smile never reached his eyes. I could see the rage in his clear eyes.

He was clearly not happy.

"Adeline." He called out to me.

I couldn't find my voice again, not able to say a word to him as he inched closer, closing the distance between us.

My instincts kicked in and I took a step back, away from him.

He didn't stop in his tracks either and kept inching closer to me.

I also kept backing away from him until my back hit the table.

Now trapped with nowhere else to run off to, I bit my lower lip so hard as if to draw blood from it.

He came so close to me that I felt his warm breath on my neck when he leaned in.

"You escaped before, but not anymore, Adeline."
