*****Myra's POV*****

My eyes fluttered open and I groaned, hand going to my head. Seeing the sudden unfamiliar room, I froze.

I hurriedly bolted upright in bed, my heart pounding in my chest. Confusion washed over me as I struggled to make sense of my surroundings.

Wait? I was alive?

Wait, How was I even alive? I vividly remembered the searing pain of being consumed by flames, the scent of burning flesh filling my nostrils. I was certain that I had been cremated, my existence reduced to ashes. Yet here I was, wide awake.

Before I could process my disbelief, the door swung open and a maid entered the room. Her eyes widened in surprise as she saw me sitting upright. "Luna Adeline! Oh, thank the goddess you're awake!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with relief and joy.

Luna Adeline? Who was that? My name was Myra, or at least, it used to be.

Confusion and disbelief mingled within me as I stared at the maid, my eyes searching for answers. Who was this Luna Adeline? And why did everyone seem to believe that I was her?

I couldn't comprehend how I had ended up in this unfamiliar body, in this unfamiliar life. It felt as if I had been thrust into a waking nightmare, where reality had been twisted beyond recognition.

The maid's words echoed in my mind, her voice blending with my own thoughts. Who was Luna Adeline?

The question reverberated through my being, a puzzle piece that refused to fit into the picture of my existence. I scrutinized the maid's face, searching for any hint of familiarity, but all I saw was a stranger. It was as if she had grown an extra head.

The maid raised a brow at me and asked in confusion, "Luna Adeline, why are you staring at me like that? I'm so glad that you're awake, but you're acting strange. I think I should call the Alpha." Just as she was about to leave to call the Alpha, I stopped her in her tracks. "Please wait," I pleaded.

Curiosity danced in the maid's eyes as she turned back towards me. "Why shouldn't I call the alpha yet?" she inquired. I hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to respond. "It's nothing," I finally managed to say, forcing a smile. "I just... I'm really thirsty. Could you please get me a glass of water?"

The maid's face broke out into a smile and she nodded, her expression shifting from curiosity to helpfulness. "Of course, Luna Adeline. I'll fetch a glass of water for you right away." As she left the room, my mind raced with questions.

What was happening? Why was I in Adeline's body?

Suddenly, a voice echoed in my mind, soft yet powerful, like the whisper of a lycan wolf. It spoke with a feminine tone, maybe belonging to the Luna Adelin's wolf. "You are not Adeline," the voice revealed. "You are someone else, inhabiting Adeline's body. Adeline died under strange circumstances, and I cannot discern the cause."

"What? But who are you?" I asked in surprise and the voice replied calmly.

"Adeline's Lycan." She said to my surprise and I frowned.

"Lycan? Where am I?"

"The CrestMoon Pack. The famous Lycan's Pack." At those words, a gasp left my lips as it all made sense now.

But how was this even possible? How was it possible to wake up in someone else's body and in the Lycan's pack?

"But how?" I asked the Lycan Wolf and she sighed, "That is exactly what I'm trying to figure out. Why are you in Addy's body?"

I bit my lower lip in confusion as I kept trying to connect the scattered puzzle pieces.

"Only one person can give an answer to this." She said and I raised a brow.

"Who?"

"The Pack's oldest witch."

I blinked at the discovery, so the Lycans had a witch in their pack?

"But, who is Adeline in this pack?" I asked again.

"Adeline is the Luna of this pack, Alpha Reign's wife and mate."

Another gasp left my lips at those words from her. Of all the people I could have woken up in their body, it had to be the Alpha King's Mate?

I heard alot about Alpha Reign and how he doted on his wife alot.

I only heard alot about him through the maids at the Wildwood pack.

I had never seen him before, and now. I woke up in his wife's body?!

"This is not the issue at hand now, the issue at hand is to find out how and why you woke up in her body, so take some rest and later, we would visit the witch I spoke about." She advised and I sighed.

"Ok." All these better make sense. A part of me was excited about waking up again, but the other part of me was still very confused on how this was even possible.

"What is your name?" I asked hesitantly, not wanting to anger her as I didn't know how she reacted to things.

"Lira." She said to my surprise.

"Oh, nice name. My wolf's name was Phoenix." I said, trying to make the atmosphere less awkward.

"What wolf were you?" She asked instead and I bit my lower lip.

What would she think of me if I told her that I was nothing but an Omega?

"Uhm, I was an Omega." I said, lowering my gaze as I remembered the last day I was called a liar before the court for accusing Dorian falsely.

The day Dorian stood there and watched me get cremated before everyone and the day he  accused me of infidelity.

"Now you became a Lycan." She said and chuckled.

I wished it were indeed funny, but it wasn't to me.

As I was about to utter another word, I saw the door handle twist and the door swung open. Expecting to see the maid returning with the glass of water, I was taken aback by the sight that greeted me.

Instead of the maid or another staff member, standing before me was a strikingly handsome man. His eyes, a mesmerizing shade of gray, seemed like an endless abyss. My heart skipped a beat as I gazed upon his tall, commanding figure and impressive physique.

Before I could ask Lira, she gave an answer,

"This is Adeline's husband. Alpha Reign."

I froze on hearing that, this man was Luna Adeline's husband?

The door pushed open again and the maid returned with a glass of water. She offered it to me and I shakily accepted it from her.

"Thank you." I muttered, releasing a half smile.

With Reign standing there and staring at me, it was so impossible to drink the water without choking on it.

"Still your resolve and drink slowly." Lira instructed.

I hummed in response and did as instructed.

Once I had successfully taken a sip of the water, I turned to the maid again, handing the cup back to her.

Immediately, she turned around and left the room, but not after giving Reign a respectful bow.

Just when I thought the atmosphere would be any more awkward with him standing there unmoving, Reign finally stepped forward towards me.

My heartbeat accelerated the moment he came to stand before me, his hands in his pants pocket looking so godly and calm.

"Adeline." His voice was nothing like his aura, his voice was deep and smooth, just like chocolates.

In my entire existence, the name, Adeline, had never sounded so beautiful to the ears.

"Now you remain silent after waking up? What happened to the feisty addy?" He posed a question and I couldn't help looking up at him.

His eyes held mine, a very serious look on his face as he stared back at me.

When I couldn't find the words to say, I tried to get help from Lira, but she also abandoned me in this awkward situation.

Just when I thought he would at least act a bit normal, Reign asked the dreaded inevitable question.

"Adeline, why did you try to kill yourself?"
