VALERIE

I stumbled for the fourth time as I ran far off into the woods. I couldn't tell where I was or how I would get out; only one thing stuck to my mind: this was the perfect escape plan, and I had to stick to it no matter what.

As I ran, my mind drifted back to those Lycan kings and I felt my heart skip a beat. They must have noticed my absence by now.

The thought of them coming after me made me quicken my pace.

The cold air grazed my parched skin, stinging me without mercy as my body shuddered from the cold.

I sneezed and clenched my belly as it rumbled yet I couldn't stop to catch a breath.

My heart froze when I heard a twig snap behind me. I stopped running and listened cautiously for any rattle of leaves but heard nothing.

I wanted to continue running, but my wolf, Jade, urged me to stop and listen longer.

My heart thumped loudly and my hands shook as I stood in the dark forest.

What if it's a wolf hunter? Or worse, the Lycan kings?

‘Jade, I can't wait anymore, I ha

VALERIE “I am not the Luna."A lump formed in my throat as I tried to sink in her words.“You… you are not the Luna?" I found myself sputtering. She smiled and took a step closer. My heart sank when she fell on her knees and bowed her head to the ground.“Forgive me, Luna; I know you've always hated me because the Alpha claimed me too, but it wasn't my fault. I begged him to have mercy, but he wouldn't listen,” she blabbered, and my eyes widened in shock.I turned around, searching for the person she was talking to.But when I saw no one behind me or close by, it dawned on me that she was referring to me.“What… what are you saying? I found their amused eyes staring at me.“I…" I trailed off and glared at her.I understood that she wanted to escape Killian and Lucian's wrath. • Lycan Brothers Want Me   In their arms

VALERIE I felt a chilly sensation on my arm when I tilted my head. I tried to snap my eyes open but couldn't; I felt like something was holding me down. Two different scents slipped into my nostrils and I gasped out, enjoying the scents of dark musk and rich sandalwood that intermingled and played with my senses. The chilly sensation came again, but this time, it was on my waist. I felt something slide up my thighs, heading in between them. My heart skipped a beat and I forced my eyes open. The first thing that hit me was the grey and blue eyes that flickered blackness the moment they met mine. My mind reeled, my pulse raced and my mind shot back to the previous tragic events that took place before I fainted. I wasn't dead, I was still alive and trapped with the devils that threatened to ruin my life. “You?" I gasped and shifted uncomfortably. I tried getting away but found that impossible as they were both hovering over me, caging me down to the soft mattress. “Stop, let

  • Lycan Brothers Want Me   Take your head for dinner

VALERIE The door creaked open, and I raised my head, expecting to see Lucian and Killian, but to my disappointment or perhaps to my relief, it turned out to be a girl who seemed to be my age mate. My eyes trailed after her as she walked over to a table and set down the tray she was holding. She turned in my direction, walked up to the bed, dropped some clothes on the edge, and turned around to walk away without saying a word. My heart constricted at her cold attitude. “Hello," I whispered and her feet stopped shuffling to the door. She cranked her neck and stared at me with blank brown eyes which seemed to have a layer of pain and sadness behind them. "Hello," she replied and bowed her head then quickly averted her gaze. I needed to get out here, but firstly, I had to know where I was. “Where is this place?" I asked, still clenching the duvet. She switched her gaze towards me and I saw a flash of disgust dart across her eyes as she looked at the duvet covering my nude body.

  • Lycan Brothers Want Me   The call

VALERIE “Hello, who is this?" Her voice sounded more like a ghostly whisper. My heart tightened and I regretted calling her at that moment. I would only be a burden to her again. But then again, I couldn't stop myself from yearning for her lost warmth. “Mom," I muttered in a weepy voice. The silence that loomed from the other end of the line made me think that she had hung up on me. I was about to put the phone down in despair when her voice came up again; this time, it was filled with surprise and fear. “Valerie, is that you?" She said in a hushed tone that got me wondering if my stepfather was at home. Mom, it's me," I replied and heard her release a breath of relief. “I heard about what happened to the Pack, you aren't hurt, are you?" She said in the same tone. “No, mom, I'm fine." Silence trailed after my reply and after a couple of minutes, she spoke up again. "Are you still in that Pack? I heard that lots of people were killed and… and Thomas isn't doi

  • Lycan Brothers Want Me   In the dark tunnel

VALERIE I peeked into the dark tunnel Bianca led me to and sighed out loud in relief. “Go through the tunnel; you will find your way out to the Pack’s boundary, but be mindful of rogues; lots of them lurk around the boundary of Dark Moon Pack,” she advised, waving her hands towards the entrance of the frightening tunnel. I sucked in a deep breath and muttered a word of appreciation before taking the flashlight she extended toward me. “You won't get into trouble, right?" I asked for the third time and she smiled, shaking her head. “No, I won't." I nodded at her words and began to shuffle into the tunnel. “Valerie," her voice made me pause and crank my head backward. “Be careful. Survive." My throat knotted at her last words. I nodded when I couldn't find my voice and bade her goodbye before walking into the tunnel, with my heart in my hand. I jumped in fear when I saw a skeleton leaning on the old dark walls of the tunnel. I shuddered and cautiously walked past i

  • Lycan Brothers Want Me   Death in the tunnel

VALERIE My heart shrank and the pieces dropped into the pit of my belly as I stared at the red eyes that glared at me from the dark. I clasped my hand against my mouth as my heartbeat thumped loudly to my hearing. It was so loud that I was afraid that the beastly tiger standing before me would hear the sound. I stepped back, making sure that my feet didn't make any noise. The growl came again, loud, fierce, and horrific. Sweat broke out on my skin and shivers rushed through my body. I kept stepping back until my feet stepped on a dry bone on the ground. I tripped and unintentionally released a howl before dropping down to the ground. The tiger roared upon hearing my yell and bounded towards me. I was filled with fear and struck with horror. An ear-piercing scream escaped my lips. I reached for my flashlight which I had picked up earlier, and turned it on. The rays of light fell on orange and black stripes on a large body. The tiger, which was facing the wall opposite w

  • Lycan Brothers Want Me   How you taste

VALERIE The door was pushed open and Killian flung me in. I winced in pain as my arm brushed against the rough wall, getting bruised in the process. “Please, don't hurt me," I whimpered, backing away as they approached me. “You should have obeyed when you had the chance to,” Lucian snickered, glaring haughtily at me. “Please, I promise never to attempt running away again, I promise," I cried, rubbing my hands together I wasn't only scared of dying, I was scared of losing my virginity to them, in the most cruel way. No matter how much or long that I pleaded, their expression remained the same. A flash of pity didn't dare dart across their face. Killian took some steps towards me, covering the distance between us. I made to shift back but he grabbed my hand and pulled me up to my feet, dragging me towards the bed. I screamed till my throat burned yet none of them had mercy. “Pull off your clothes," I heard Lucian say from the door. What was the use of making me suffer this wa

VALERIE The cold water that was splashed on my face made me snap up from bed. I gasped loudly and swerved my head, searching for where the water came from. My heart shrank when I saw Bianca staring blankly at me with a bowl in her hand and right behind her was Killian and Lucian. I shuddered, feeling betrayed and used. “It's time for your punishment!" Lucian snapped and my belly knotted. “Get up and get dressed," Killian added. Tears gathered up in my eyes as I looked at Bianca, who kept glancing at other things in the room aside from my face. Who would have thought she would betray me? I considered her a friend and a sister but she ended up betraying me, just like Margaret and Juliet. I managed to get my sore body up from the bed. “Don't be so clumsy!” Lucian snapped and I jumped. I picked up my clothes and pulled them on, subduing the pain that throbbed in my body. Killian grabbed me, digging his nails into my arm as he dragged me out of the room. Once we were out, he pu

  • Lycan Brothers Want Me   The bitter truth

VALERIE Bianca scoffed and narrowed her eyes, glaring haughtily at her. I sighed, aware of what she was talking about. Michelle smirked and didn't wait for my reply before striding fully into the room. I stood up, my heart clenched in fear. Even though I needed to know the cause of my father's death, I knew deep down that I wasn't ready to bear the heartbreak that would come with the truth. "I don't think I want to talk about it yet," I muttered, glancing at everything in the room aside from Bianca and Michelle's faces. "Why?" Michelle's voice bore shock and disappointment. "I have a lot to deal with at the moment. I'm not ready to hear it," I muttered. She huffed and stepped back. I finally looked at her, forcing a smile into my face. She huffed, fuming in anger as she glared at me. "Are you scared of the truth?" She asked, her lips turning up in a mocking smirk. I sighed and tilted my head to the side, staring confidently into her eyes. "Yes, I am scared of the truth."

VALERIE My jaws were still dropped in shock as I stood rooted at the spot. "Valerie? Are you okay?" Bianca's words shot into my mind, causing me to raise my head. Her head tilted to the side as she watched me, confusion scribbled across her face. "Why were you acting that way when I mentioned the name of Luna Queen's sister?" She questioned, her eyes filled with suspicion. I released a false laugh and shook my head. "It's nothing. I… I thought I had heard the name somewhere." She narrowed her eyes in disbelief but said nothing concerning my attitude. "Well… mother said that she died some months before her wedding to an alpha prince," she said. My fist clenched and I bit my lips at the discovery. "Was she getting married to Lycan prince Alexander?" I bobbed my head and asked. She threw her head back and narrowed her eyes, letting the silence haunt my curiosityI hoped silently that I was wrong with my guess. "No, it was rumored that the Lycan king Alexander never had any lo

VALERIE "I am disappointed in you, Valerie!" He groused with a glare before turning to help his mother up from the seat. I gulped hard and slowly stood up, dropping my head. "Forgive me—" "Don't say a word!" I shifted back at the harsh tone of Lucian's voice. "Hey, don't yell at her!" The Luna Queen snapped, hitting him on the chest. Lucian sighed in disappointment and threw me a glare before leading his mother to the bed. The maidservant turned and stared at me coldly then moved closer to where I stood. "You should have stopped her, my lady," she muttered. My heart clenched and I gripped the edge of the table, getting overwhelmed with guilt. "I'm sorry. I never meant to let her drink so much," I whispered, avoiding her accusing eyes. She huffed in annoyance and trudged off to attend to the Luna Queen. I sighed in disappointment, muttering curses under my breath. If Lucian hadn't intervened, she would have told me how she killed Renee. I needed to fix the dot

  • Lycan Brothers Want Me   Story of my life

VALERIE My throat knotted and my hand shook at her sudden words. "You want to talk about your life? I… I don't think…" She waved her hand and my lips slammed shut. "Don't worry about trust. We seem to share the same fate…" She paused and gulped down another glass of wine. I had the chance to stop her but the curiosity that bubbled in me and the selfishness that resided in my heart wouldn't let me take that step. I simply sat still, turning a blind eye as she consumed bottles of wine alone. "Alright then. I will listen to your life story," I said, smiling lightly. I could feel the eyes of the maidservant standing some inches away from me. I knew she felt disappointed that I let her mistress drink. She leaned into the chair, her fingers wrapped around her chin as she fixed her eyes steadily on the dark wardrobe. "I don't want to talk about my sister," she muttered, throwing her head to the side with an eye roll."Then… what do you want to talk about?" I asked.oyI felt like I

She paused and dimmed her eyes, twirling the glass in her hand."Everyone of them." If not that I paid keen attention to her, I wouldn't have grabbed the words she whispered with sadness."Getting mated to the heir of the Nox family must come with lots of memories," I chuckled nervously."Yes, I had the most chaotic memory here in the Blood Moon Pack, especially with Renee around," she muttered and gulped down some of the wine in the glass. My throat knotted when she mentioned Renee. She dropped the glass on the table and waved m

  • Lycan Brothers Want Me   Killian's return

VALERIE I followed Lucian to Killian's room, my heart thumping loudly in my chest in excitement. He didn't bother knocking before pushing the door open. Killian raised his head when we entered the room. He dropped the cup he was holding and leaned back into the bed, his eyes piercing into ours in a suspicious gaze. "Don't tell me you two have been fucking while I'm struggling with my life," he huffed, turning up his lips as he narrowed his eyes at us. "Why should I bother myself when I'm certain that you're going to live," Lucian muttered nonchalantly. I trotted towards Killian and took his hand, rubbing it gently. "I heard you got the antidote," he muttered. I raised my head and our eyes locked. I blushed lightly, my heart skipping beats as those blue eyes that I had always yearned to stare into consumed me. "Did you get hurt on the way?" He asked. I shook my head, too stunned to speak. His hand moved to my hair, and he brushed it back, a smile flickering across his enchan

He teased, causing a smile to break out on my face. "Then I should see a doctor for my voice," I replied. Despite the desire I had for him, I still couldn't stop my stubbornness from showing up again. His hand moved to my hair, and he patted it gently before combing it down with his fingers."We don't need a doctor here, little Val, not when I'm right here," he whispered, teasing me with his hot breath against my neck. I shivered and giggled slightly. His hand traced up to my breast and he squeezed my hardened nipples, earning a gasp from me.He leaned forward and kissed my neck, placing love bites on my neck.I groaned out in pleasure, biting my lips as my eyes slammed shut in pleasure. My pussy was dripping wet, begging for an insertion of his fingers. He moved away and pushed his wavy hair back,

VALERIE Lucian parted his lips, ready to pass out his judgment on me. "Why should she be treated that way after what she went through to find the antidote?" Lucian questioned me, snapping a glare at Michelle. "Do you even have a conscience?" He snapped at Michelle and her jaws dropped. "How sure are you that she went to the Isle of the Blessed? It's possible that she stayed at a place and returned with a drug prepared by a witch!" She groused, still trying to turn Lucian against me. "Why don't you focus on helping him recover instead of laying blame!" Lucian growled at her and she jumped, embarrassment smeared against her face. "But…" Lucian grabbed me and raised my shirt, pointing at the wound on my belly. "Is that enough to prove that she went there? Will she hurt herself so bad to lie?" He snapped. He sighed and dug his hand into his hair, groaning in anger as he glared at her in annoyance. "She did her part by going to the cursed Isle and getting the antidote, why don't

VALERIE My heart stopped beating the moment his lips pressed against mine. A warm feeling washed over my body and my legs stopped shaking. He pulled away and blinked repeatedly before grasping my hand. His eyes held emotions that I couldn't interpret even though the meaning was clear to me and everyone surrounding us.His lips trembled, and his chest rose and fell, causing a knot to form in my throat."Go on," he whispered tenderly to me, brushing my hair back with his hand before letting go of my hand. He glanced over at Michelle and nodded towards her. "Come on, take her in and prepare the antidote for Killian," he said in a completely different tone. Happiness rippled through me, and I tried hard not to burst into laughter or mockery before everyone. Michelle, who was almost numb from shock nodded slowly and began to climb the stairs with heavy steps. A smile tugged at the corner of my lips as I trailed after Michelle.
