Chapter 42: This Is It

An hour later the phone rings as we are getting dressed and when I look into his eyes, I begin to wonder what exactly is going on. “Who is on the phone?” I ask him softly, so I don’t interrupt him while he is talking.

Shaking his head as he frowns, he waves at me and then takes the phone into the next room. Now, I am really beginning to wonder, but instead of trying to listen in, I sit down on the bed and brush my hair. Making sure that I look perfect for tonight, I start to hear his voice get louder before he walks back in with a smile on his lips. “Sugar are you ready?” he asks happily before he leans down to kiss me on the forehead sweetly.

Feeling the warmth of his breath on my skin, I close my eyes and wish that for once, I didn’t have to go strip. Opening my eyes when he straightens up, I nod, and then clear my throat before answering him by saying, “Yep, I sure am.”
