Core group: Vulpes-Proles

Subspecies: Amph

Descent: fox

Size: head-torso length from 85 to 160 centimeters (with tail 137 to 189 centimeters), withers from 77 to 95 centimeters.

Weight: 55 to 86 kilograms

Color and Appearance: Cobalt blue fur with shades of black. The body structure is almost identical to that of the red fox.

Character: Quiet, treacherous.

Features: White star drawing on the forehead.

Lifespan: The oldest known amph has been housed in the Historia research station for nine years. He is now estimated to be twelve years old. It is impossible to predict how the derivative gene will affect the further course of aging.

Distribution: Very common

Distribution area: North and South America, Europe and Africa.

-----

Core group: Meles-Proles

Subspecies: arbor

Descent: It is assumed that the original tribal father belonged to the marten-like animals.

Size: head-torso length from 48 to 72 centimeters (with tail 92 to 124 centimeters), withers from 30 to 42 centimeters.

Weight: 0.8 kg to 1.7 kg

Color and Appearance: The outer skin of the body is set in a pink tone with yellow shades. The belly and tail, on the other hand, are pure yellow. The physique resembles that of a Maders. The bony, jagged shield on the head is an extension of the skull, behind which the small, round ears are hidden. In the case of the males, the shield turns dark red when advertising for the partner. The long tail is very strong and is used for climbing and holding on (it sleeps in a tree with its head down). Razor-sharp teeth are hidden in the pointed snout. The arbor communicates through chirping sounds.

Character: The arbor is extremely aggressive as soon as someone comes near its sleeping tree.

Features: Nocturnal. If it attacks, it always goes straight to the eyes, and then eats its way into the body with its sharp claws and pointed teeth.

Lifespan: The oldest known arbor was housed at the Historia research station for nine years before it died. According to the knowledge obtained, it is assumed that it has an approximate life expectancy of twelve years.

Distribution: very rare

Distribution area: It is native to South and North America, but has also been sighted in Europe.

-----

Core group: Capella-Proles

Subspecies: Beccus

Ancestry: Studies show that the Beccus originally descended from the common domestic goat.

Size: head-torso length from 120 to 152 centimeters (with tail 220 to 237 centimeters), withers from 57 to 70 centimeters.

Weight: 12 to 17 kilograms

Color and Appearance: A Beccus is "large-framed" and has a long, bushy tail. The head is slightly longer than it is wide, and goes over into a snout with a beak-like horn tip. The eyes are set wide apart, and the ears are large and broad at the base, and very long. The white-brown fur is water-repellent and protects the Beccus from the worst of cold even in deep winter.

Character: Quiet. Extremely intelligent. Pack animals.

Characteristics: The three horn-like outgrowths on the head are, besides the sharp claws, the most striking feature of the Beccus.

Lifespan: A Beccus has a life expectancy of five to seven years.

Distribution: normal

Distribution area: South and North America, Europe.

-----

Core group: Canis-Proles

Subspecies: Candir

Lineage: dog

Size: head-torso length from 182 to 217 centimeters (with tail 269 to 303 centimeters), withers from 97 to 105 centimeters.

Weight: 204 to 236 kilograms

Color and appearance: The Candir is a pure white dog descendant. It has extremely long hangings on its front legs that continue on its body and tail. Although it clearly has the body shape of a Golden Retriever, it is often referred to colloquially as the polar bear among the proles because of its color and size. Due to ball joints, the Candir is able to stand on two legs like a bear and use its front paws as a weapon, but because of its drooping ears it cannot hear well.

Character: Very aggressive. Exceptional intelligence.

Characteristics: The Candir is born 90 percent deaf, but due to its visual acuity it has little effect on it. The Candir lives monogamous and dies when his partner dies.

Lifespan: The oldest known Candir has been housed in the Historia research station for 17 years. He is estimated to be 21 years old. It can be assumed that he was one of the first descendants who escaped from the research facility near Riverton, Wyoming in the USA near Yellowstone National Park. It is impossible to predict how the derivative gene will affect the further course of aging.

Distribution: Rare

Distribution area: The Candir is highly adaptable and can now be found on every continent. This prole is not afraid of hot climates or arctic cold.

He took his time with a reply. It was clear to him that this topic was quite delicate for me and that is why he only opened his mouth when we were halfway through the open-plan office and I wasn't even expecting an answer. "You should see them before we're cooped up with them in a van with them tomorrow.""I'm not sure it will make that much of a difference.""Believe me, it will be."Maybe, maybe not, just the prospect of seeing her right now, made my tension rise again. Not just because of what they'd done, but because of what they stood for. A shattered childhood, an orphan, the Venator's profession. It was only because of these proles that I became a Venator. When I was a little kid I always wanted to be a vet, or maybe a chimney sweep. Chimney sweeps brought luck and I liked the idea of bringing luck. Of course, I knew that these were a six-year-old's dreams, but without the events of that time, I wouldn't be who I was today.I couldn't tell if tha

  • Lurking in the Dark - Book 2   Mission

“Jilin's request surprised me a little. It is not exactly common to get reinforcements from other guilds for a comparably simple mission. ""We just want to make sure that the Iubas get to their destination without incident," I remarked a little pointedly. Now he couldn't ignore me anymore. "Hi, it seems you haven't noticed me yet, there is no other way I can explain your rude behavior. I am Grace Shanks, Venator Grace Shanks. "The look I got from Diccon Faust could only be seen as condescending. "Yes, very pleased," was all he said to me before turning back to Reese. "Is there any reason to believe that an incident might occur?"Why did he ask him the question now?"Not that we know of." Reese put his left hand back into his jacket pocket. I knew exactly that he was now holding his pack of cigarettes in his hand. But I also noticed how he gave me a look out of the corner of my eye. "But you can never have enough people who make sure that the proles do not p

  • Lurking in the Dark - Book 2   Survive the job

"You might be right about that." Her lips curled up in a smug smile before she turned her full attention to me. “Hi, I'm Tiffany. Tiffany winner. ""Grace." I turned around until I was face to face with her. Immediately her smile slipped a little. Well, the memory of my childhood, a long scar that ran across my mouth to my chin, she had apparently not noticed before. “Maybe we should all pull paper bags over our heads. After all, nobody here wants to sully your sensitive sensitivity to aesthetics. "Her mouth stayed closed. It wasn't that she avoided my gaze, she just suddenly didn't seem to feel so comfortable in her skin anymore. Yes, something like that could happen if you made such a big mistake.I didn't say anything else either, just fixed her for a few silent seconds and then walked past her to the counter, where the lady behind was on the phone with someone. As I stood next to Reese, I felt her gaze on my back and when he automatically put his arm around my

Shoot the Iubas, but unfortunately that was not an option. The only thing I could do was make my way to Potsdam to face these monsters, or just forget about the whole thing. Unfortunately, it was already clear to me that this was one of the things I couldn't simply forget. My parents' murderers had been found and even if they could no longer harm anyone, they would still be alive. Locked up for the rest of her life, but still alive.“You made up your mind a long time ago,” Reese says quietly.Oh yes? "How did I decide?"“Don't be so stupid. The thought of these critters won't leave you alone until you have convinced yourself that they are no longer a danger to anyone. "Oh yes, Reese's direct manner was refreshing every day. "As long as they live, they will always be a danger." Every prole was a danger until it had breathed its last breath.Reese felt for his pants pocket only to find there were no cigarettes in there. Good thing, smoking was forbidden

  • Lurking in the Dark - Book 2   Mouse

Very carefully and without making the slightest noise, Cherry put one paw on the graying carpet and then remained motionless again. The next step took several seconds. She fixed the little toy mouse without even blinking. When the mouse didn't move, it took another step, then suddenly began to wiggle its buttocks vigorously and fell off. The great huntress had already grabbed her unsuspecting prey and battered it with teeth and claws to show her who was the boss here."Cherry," I warned the white cat because she had messed up the photos of my parents on the floor during her maneuver and pushed her aside.Out of shock, or simply because she was having a lot of fun, she threw the mouse in a high arc and then rushed under the bed with a monkey tooth. Calm returned and there was only a forgotten mouse and two reflective eyes under the bed that watched me very closely - could still give me something to eat.Cherry was a white longhair cat that wa
