The protruding back crest serves as a distinguishing mark in this breed, the ends of which also turn blue during the mating season. The male descendants of this species have three-ended antlers equipped with poison glands. The ears can be turned in all directions.

Character: Curious and out and about both individually and in groups of several animals.

Characteristics: Only the male representatives of this genus are poisonous.

Lifespan: A Dorcas has a life expectancy of ten to twelve years

Distribution: normal

-----

Core group: Canis-Proles

Subspecies: Iuba

Ancestry: The original tribal father is believed to be a dog.

Size: head-torso length from 103 to 132 centimeters (with tail 160 to 190 centimeters), withers from 70 to 90 centimeters.

Weight: 81 kg to 103 kg

Color and appearance: black, white, striped, and all shades of gray in between. The physique is similar to that of a German Shepherd Dog. In addition to the dark-striped head, the small goatee, and the longer fur, the lion-like mane, which is wind-cut backwards, is the most striking feature of the Iuba. It has a very long tail (corresponding to the length of its body) in order to be able to keep its balance when climbing. Long ears that easily sink into the mane.

Character: The Iuba is probably the only known prole that increases the pack by rearing its young. He is also very intelligent, calm, and extremely aggressive.

Features: diurnal. Night blind. Ball joints.

Lifespan: The oldest known Iuba has been housed in the Historia research station for thirteen years. He is estimated to be sixteen years old. It is impossible to predict how the derivative gene will affect the further course of aging.

Distribution: common

Distribution area: To a large extent in South America and Europe. Several packs have also been sighted in Southeast Asia.

-----

Core group: Ursus-Proles

Subspecies: crane

Ancestry: Studies show that the crane originally came from raccoons.

Size: head-torso length from 100 to 130 centimeters (with tail 160 to 190 centimeters), withers from 70 to 90 centimeters.

Weight: 90 to 155 kilograms

Due to its unusual coloring, it is often referred to as the sunset animal. Strong, short body with long stocky legs.

Character: Very social in the pack.

Characteristics: wooden claws that are supplied with poison by glands. The poison paralyzes the prey

Lifespan: 4 to 6 years

Distribution: Very common

Mommy, when will you have cake?" I tugged at her dress when she didn't react immediately to show her that I was getting impatient. "I'm hungry for cake."She stopped washing the glass under the clear water in the sink and smiled down at me. With her blonde hair she looked like an angel. Yes, my mommy was an angel. "It'll take a moment, Grace.""How long is a moment?"“As soon as I'm done here, I have to set the table. But don't worry, I'll call you then. Go play in the garden while you are. "Hm, but I didn't want to play in the garden at all. I had played in the garden with Wynn all day, now I wanted my birthday cake. "But then I'll still starve."She screwed up her eyes critically and played and pursed her lips a little while she looked me up and down in my yellow summer dress. It was my birthday dress that we had specially called for today. I got a new dress every birthday. "You're right," she said thoughtfully. “My poor darling is o

Lured by the screaming of the children, Mommy ran out of the house and found another of these animals. She tried to slam the door quickly when the non-dog jumped at her, but by then he had already torn her to the ground and bit her shoulder. She screamed and screamed in panic. I could hear it all over the garden. Mommy was scared he hurt her!Suddenly the air was filled with screaming, crying and wailing. In between, the strange animals growling again and again. I heard Moritz calling for his mom and the screeching of Chiara. One of these non-dogs had bitten into her leg and was dragging her, growling, into the nearest bushes, while another Uncle Roderick, with his cell phone to his ear, chased around the house until I could no longer see him.Wynn clutched my arm, crying, while the plush behind us still tried to bite its way through the fence. In the meantime, three others made it into the garden, jumped over the fence near the terrace and immediately rushed, drooling

.............Come on!” Bay cheered the drooling beast. "Show me what you can!"The crane, an Ursus prole, with the colors of the rising sun, crept around its victim, growling. He kept his eyes on the young, blond man's small handgun. He had learned in the years of his imprisonment. He knew how dangerous this thing was, that it meant pain. But he was hungry, so very hungry. And sometimes he even managed to grab a bite before the pain came.Sometimes.His huge paws made no sound on the soft sand as he crept around his victim. He wouldn't give up until he got what he wanted or the pain came, sending him twitching to the ground. He wouldn't stop until his hunger was satisfied. His narrow skull with the horn-like bony outgrowths on the back of his head was dark as the shadows of the night, just like his watchful eyes. "Now finally hit him on the face!" Roared Mr. Keiper at his apprentice. Even from up here I could see that the bald man had a bright red head again. "Use your head, do what you've learned!"When I heard a giggle four rows below, I fixed my gaze. There, in the first row of the stands, sat Pia and Marle, the only other girls in our year of training. The Beluosus Academy accepted around seventy-five students each year, of which no more than ten were girls. The hunt for monsters was a man's domain after all - at least that's what the guys liked to imagine. I had a completely different opinion, which was not only due to the fact that I belonged to the female gender myself.Pia chuckled at Bay's awkwardness. Maybe I should remind her how she looked with the Wrath last week. You could really have believed that she hadn't learned anything here in the last two years. From the kennel I heard the angry growl of the crane when Bay finally hit him on the short muzzle.

Reads like a bad thriller," I muttered, turning my face to her. You wanted an honest opinion? She could have it. "That sounds like a toddler wrote it who had a few sentences dictated by a scientist and in between chats a little with an old friend.""Does that mean I can't hand it over like that?" She asked me, horrified, when the work of ten minutes threatened to slip between her hands."That means it wouldn't hurt if you revised it again. I wouldn't describe it as an essay either, it's too short for that. And since it is not useful for objectivity if you keep inserting your personal opinion or inappropriate comments in between, I would also leave them out. So, yes, you should urgently revise that if you don't want Mr. Keiper to cancel the internship for you. ”I handed her the pad back and didn't mind the fact that she moaned pityingly. “At least the spelling is good. In any case, I did not find any errors. "She grumbled something incomprehensible.

Mr. Keiper looked after him skeptically for a moment before turning his attention back to us. "What I actually wanted to convey to you with the whole thing is, are ..."“Always vigilant,” we all said in unison. That was the motto of every Venator - and of course a budding one, like us. Always alert, always ready.Mr. Keiper nodded satisfied. "Does anyone have any questions?" Unanimous shake of the head. “And everyone knows where to go tomorrow? Well then, pack up your things and make sure you come home. I'll see you on Friday. Unharmed, if I may ask. "That was the sign we had all been waiting for. Conversations started when everyone picked up their stuff from the stands and rushed home before Mr Keiper could think of anything else he thought he had to tell us. Yes, it happened regularly."It's going to be amazing," Evangeline enthused me on the way to the stairs. “We can finally play with the big boys. Only one more night."

Furious, I put my finger in front of his nose and pressed my lips together so that I wouldn't knock everything on the tip of my tongue. I would love to have him ... ahrrr!"Oh come on, Grace, it wasn't that bad.""Not this time," I said finally and let my finger drop. "But at some point you will be so careless that they'll catch you and when the time comes, Dom, I'll kick your ass in such a way that even your great-grandchildren can still feel it."He grinned and showed me his very special dimple. "I can not wait any longer."What else should you say besides: "Fool." I turned around and walked back the way I had just come."Did you actually want something in particular, or were you just here to plump me?" Domenico called after me."I was only here to prune you." I pulled the heavy steel door open. "And since we didn't have to amputate your arm and you can still tear stupid sayings, I'm leaving now.""It's always nice when you visit me

It's not that bad," mumbled Nick and rolled over on his back, yawning. I ignored Reese when Nick held out his hand to me. With the smile on his face, he seemed just the same again - nothing reminded of Mr. Who and the meat fork. Smiling, I ran across the room and sat down on the mattress with him. "How are you?" "Now that you're sitting next to me, better." That was really cute. "And your arm?" "I'll get him his painkillers," Reese announced and then disappeared from the doorway with one last hostile look at me. Nick looked after him thoughtfully. "He is angry." “Can you blame him? He was right, I shouldn't have just left the door open. " He turned his head so he could look me in the face. "Did I understand that correctly? You took out the garbage? " "I've cleaned up." "Where? Here?" "Well, the apartment." I shrugged my shoulders indifferently. "Just cleaned up a little." "Why?" Hm, an honest answer might

I ignored him and reached into the basket again, but before I could even touch the laundry, he had roughly grabbed my arm and pushed me towards the kitchen door. I stumbled and didn't fall because I could catch myself on the sofa. I hit my leg in the process, but the pain in my arm was much worse. Reese had hit the exact same spot where Nick grabbed me yesterday morning. There was a bruise on my skin there and it fucking hurt when he pressed there."And now finally get out of here and don't be seen here anymore!"I didn't think I was as angry with another person as I was at this moment in my life. No matter what kind of problems he had, it didn't give him the right to talk to me like that and that's why there was only one thing I could say back. "No."Reese blinked once, as if he couldn't believe what I'd just said of myself. "What did you say?""I said no. Nick wants me here and I won't go until he demands it. ”I straightened up and glared at him.

Nick was my friend and I had every right to be here.I listened carefully to his steps. I could tell exactly when Reese stepped into the kitchen and saw me on the clothes horse. It wasn't just the fading of the noises, it was almost like a dark aura that entered the room with him and tried to push me against the nearest wall. Anger. I could practically feel it.But he didn't say anything, just stood silently in my back and that made me more nervous than if he had yelled at me straight away. Why didn't he say anything? I tried not to show my nervousness and just pulled the next item of laundry out of the basket. “I've already put the res

Taking a deep breath, I pushed myself off the wall and marched back into the kitchen. I was not finished yet. The dishes were still waiting and the floor also had to be mopped. The only room that escaped my cleaning madness was Reese's room, and only because he would probably cut me into four and then dump me with Mr. Who's remains if I even set foot in there. I had even cleaned the surface of Nick's room. Very quietly so as not to wake him up. He seemed to need sleep. The kitchen finally looked homely. I had even cleaned the upholstery of the couch with whatever was available to me. That alone had cost me an hour.Sighing, I stood at the sink and began to work on the soaked dishes. That was not that easy, because although I had put it in the water almost two hours ago to get the dried up food scraps away, there were some stubborn stains that resisted steadfastly and so I stood at the sink for a while before I did the last plate hoisted the white flag and was clean aga

And also the pale skin color. He wasn't doing well, but I couldn't tell if it was because he had just stabbed his pet because I didn't like it, or the injury and the medication. But I knew one thing very well. "You belong in bed.""I've been in bed all morning." His hand also came to rest on my cheek, the hand with which he had just stabbed so coldly.I had to pull myself together hard not to shrink from it. “And with good reason. Come on, we'll put you under the covers again. "He chewed his lips briefly, looking in my eyes for an answer whose question I didn't know. "Will you stay with me?"That was probably the first real smile he got from me today. "Naturally. That's why I'm here, right? I lie down with you. ""OK."Since he didn't move, I took his hand a

Reese built this cage for me," he said quietly. His hand loosened the cramp on the grille and brushed toward the door. “He put a lock in, you see? Only he can open the cage. He doesn't give me the key. He always carries it with him. "Confusion showed on my face. Why did he tell me this?“Back then, Norbert told Reese that I should get a pet. It might help me to keep my balance, it makes me feel responsible, but I never got the key. ”He gave me a wry smile. His eyes looked slightly glazed, his gaze somehow distant. Was he still under the influence of the medication?“Nick, please get out of there. You belong in bed. "“He never gave me the key. I could only feed Mr. Who. ”His hand fell off the cage. There was something sad in his eyes as he turned and crossed the room to the kitchenette. I was happy and was able to assure myself that Nick was fine, but I was absent from the academy without excuse and that gave me a massive stomach rumble. I had never skipped before. "Nick?""In the kitchen!" He called back.I took off my shoes and jacket and then took the now familiar path - although you couldn't really speak of familiar, after all, I had only been here twice. And once Reese chased me away. What would he say if he caught me here now? What did I care? It was absolutely none of his business! I just had to keep telling myself that, maybe at some point I wouldn't really care what he was thinking. I didn't even understand why I didn't care. Why did I care what Reese thought? And why the hell

On the whole, he was just angry that this happened to him. ""So he's fine?" Where did my powerful voice go?Evangeline nodded. “Yes, he was given painkillers and sedatives.
