Taran's POV
I told Willa she slept through the last new moon when Nox put her in deep sleep.
Though a bit surprised that Nox's memory could wake up during the new moon, it wasn't as shocking as what she told me--
Of all their lives, they had never been able to mark each other ever since their first life. From Cerberus's reaction, I could tell that it was mostly because Nox wouldn't take his mark because of her human parts, but she wouldn't admit that.
But she wanted to mark Cerberus. He was her "possession", according to her.
Except for this time I let Kirsch mark us first.
Of course, the solution was easy--
With Kirsch's death she would be able to mark us, but I couldn't make that choice, so I made a deal with Nox--
I keep the truth to myself while she tried to lure Kirsch to get his mark back from me. Actually, Nox couldn't use her Alpha Aura on any wolf through the mindlink. Alpha Aura only works face to face, but she seemed
Hi Everyone~ Sorry that I have gone missing for days, I feel horrible about it. My editor has been pushing me on a new book cause apparently this one is not doing too well. It's not like I don't like a challenge, but I tried to keep both of them up, but I can't seem to do it well. I wrote stuff for this book as well, and I wanted to publish them, but they just didn't feel right and I have been struggling. But of course, none of these are enough excuses why I have been hiding from you for so long, I only wanted to explain the situation. I will finish this story, and I do have a lot planned for this book. I will try to update daily from here, and I'll send a note at least if I have to miss a day so you won't be waiting. Love you guys to stay on this journey with me, and I hope we can see it to a good end. Nyx Rai PS I'll update the rest of the book as free chapters in this month, just to say sorry. It's possible that my editor would ask me to change them into charging ones in the
Kirsch's POV "You are joking, right?" I asked. Nox broke us out of the mindlink before she came closer. Something told me she wasn't joking. "I know you have been in agony for so long, but that's your King you just sentenced to death, Nox," I backed as I tried to reason with her, "you already have him this time, Nox, make it right." "Our souls are bonded, so we are bound to be together." Nox ignored me with sparkles in her eyes, though she didn't at all share the innocent and lively light as Willa, her postures gave out a natural vibe of dominance and elegancy. I gulped unconsciously. "Let me mark you," Nox shifted her paws with an evil grin, "You own me that, you marked my mate." "That's very reasonable," I backed as I tried to mindlink Taran but it was an effort in vain, "but don't you think it makes more sense if you mark him instead of me so that you can at least get half of the mate mark with him? I mean--" Nox jumped at me and I shited to run, only to be stopped by two hu
Kirsch's POV "Wait, no!" I blurted at Nox's words when she suddenly shifted her claw and swung at Taran. I jumped forward at Taran to shield him but he pushed me aside and let Nox's claw fell on his chest. Nox burst into laughters as she shifted her claw back at the last second. "You are the one I want to kill, silly," Nox turned to me with a smirk as she hung herself on Taran's neck. Taran sighed with a resighed smile-- "Naughty little wolf, stop scaring him." "Mark me and I'll stop." Nox turned to Taran, "You can mark me without the little girl." "I can't, love," Taran caressed her cheek gently, "the mark won't stay with Willa in the deep sleep." "But I--" Nox frowned, but before she could say anything else, her posture froze for a moment before she glanced at the sky-- The night was almost over. "Willa?" Taran asked in a hesitant tone, and her eyes lost focus for a moment before she mumbled with confusion-- "Where am I?" "You are back!" Taran pulled her into his arms as h
Kirsch's POV "Willa, don't listen to her." I went up to her as Taran shot me a look before he stood bewteen us and the rogues that appeared around us. "I need to know..." Willa mumbled in a blank face, still shocked. "You don't need to know from Natasha, Willa. If there is anything, we will figure out later. Go with Kirsch and I'll come find you." Taran said with his eyes fixed on Natasha. "No!" Willa shivered at Taran's last words. Frankly speaking, I didn't like his plan either. There was no telling what the evil Nox had prepared for us, leaving her minions here. "You shifted for the first time when you were seven, and you wiped out your whole pack." Natasha sneered coldly as she went on, "Do you want to know what you did to your own parents? How many pieces did you tear them --" "She's your Alpha now, Natasha," Taran rose his voice and cut off Natasha, "I don't think she would be happy with you next new moon when you betray her like this." "Ohh I'm not betraying her," Natasha
Kirsch's POV [I'm on my way, Kirsch.] Taran kept repeating that, but surviving wasn't the worst problem in my mind right now-- [But Nox is in berserk state now, what do we do when she isn't bounded by the pack bond? There is nothing we can do except marking her.] I said as I changed my position, delaying the fight between me and the two deadly Alphas in front of me. [Then we mark her.] Taran said simply. [I thought you didn't want to do that?] I rose an eyebrow. It was very clear by now that all Nox's plan was to try to force Taran to mark her. [I know what Nox's plan is, but we have to roll with the punch now.] Taran blurted fast, [And right now, Nox is more of a threat to you than Stone. You die with your mark on me, Nox won't get what she wants, but Stone knows that, and she doesn't right now. Take on Nox when they attack, Stone might hurt you, but he won't kill you. Hang in there for a moment and I'll be right there!] Right at that moment, Nox and Stone jumped at me at the sa
Willa's POV It took me days to get used to Cerberus's new voice. Well, his voice didn't change. It was still that rough, low one that tickled my heart every time I heard it, but the dominance in that voice and the confidence and calmness were beyond enchanting. "Taran!" I jumped up when his body entered my sight. He didn't take the Alpha's title back, but he had been leading several patrols outside the pack, searching for Stone's men. "I'm back, my love. How's your day?" Taran wrapped his arm around my waist and rose his other hand-- It was a rabbit, apparently the fruit of his hunting today. Now that Cerberus got his memory back, he had remembered a lot of stuff, such as the fact that the greatest wolf warrior in history -- meaning Nox -- loves eating grey rabbits. "She's happy!" I jumped on him with my legs around his waist for a kiss. Taran chuckled and supported my butt with his forearm and deepened that kiss, except he let Cerberus out. Nox had been rather quiet ever since
Willa's POV "Don't like it, love?" Laughing, Cerberus tipped up my chin when I forgot to proceed with my rabbit leg after he reminded me for the thrid time, "Let me heat it up for you." "Sorry..." I blinked and pulled back my wondering thoughts. Nox nudged her huge head into me as a light punishment because she had been drooling over the delicious rabbit in front of me, and I just couldn't get my mind off my crazy plan. I followed Taran into the Kitchen when Kirsch still had his head buried in his plate. "You look bothered, love." Cerberus opened the stove and put the pan over the jumping fire, "Tell me about it?" Nox wrapped her arms around his waist and bit him lightly on his bicep. Cerberus chuckled as he rose his arm and pulled sher up like a fish as she wouldn't let go before he chucked his arms around her neck. "I...I have a question for you." I murmured, looking up at him as he bent down for a kiss before he fliped the meat with a shake of the pan, "I mean, I know you clai
Kirsch's POV "Why did you tell Willa you no longer feel the mate pull toward her?" Taran asked me as he put a piece of raw meat in the pan after he got the leg out on a place. Willa likes dark meat. "Well, because I don't." I kept my eyes low on the pan, "It disappeared after you marked her." "Or maybe, you just don't want her to feel bad for rejecting you." Taran glanced at me with a teasing smirk. "Why would she care..." I mumbled. It was the best I could lie. "That's not a no," Taran said softly. "My mate is you, and it's enough for me." I glanced at the kitchen door, feeling the guilt of a thief when Cerberus's smell struck my nerve. I wanted him, more than ever. But I didn't dare do anything with him because leaving my smell on him would probably drive Nox into rage. She knows now that Cerberus claimed both of us, but we never really talked about boundaries. Besides, Taran and I also needed time after we have been telling ourselves for years that we were straight. "Would
