Her first shift!
Willa's POV I backed away from Natasha as fast as my twisted limbs allowed me. I couldn't tell whether it was the wolfsbane or the shift, or my body was actually on fire, but everything was burning hot, and I felt like my bones were melting. "Ahhh!" A scream escaped me when my knee cap dented as if an invisible hammer smashed on it. I curled up in the pain, failing to find a way out. Natasha took her chance and jumped at me, her claws reaching for my leg that I couldn't move. I tried to roll but I could barely control my body. [Taran!] I shouted, shutting my eyes close. But I heard the noise of sharp claws slashing open the flesh! I screamed with my head covered in my arms, but then I heard something heavy crashing into the ground not too far from me. Cerberus crashed into Natasha, and it wasn't my leg that was slashed open, but her chest. His huge mouth swallowed half of Natasha's head as his canines sank deeply into her jaw. Natasha licked her paws frantically, leaving scarlet re
Willa's POV [Kirsch,] Taran suddenly mindlinked him. He rose his eyebrow at me when he realized I was mindlinked in. His serious look made me nervous, but he just turned to Kirsch: [How far are you away?] [A couple of minutes...] Kirsch sped up in hardship, [What's wrong?] [Nothing.] Taran glanced at me, [I'll wait for you here.] [The rogues?] Kirsch frowned, trying to read Taran's face, [It's Ethan's spot, isn't it? I'll make a turn here--] [No.] Taran said with his eyes glowing, using the Alpha Aura, [Come straight to us, and I'll take Willa to meet you.] [No, don't move her! I'll come!] Kirsch sped up again, clenching his teeth to suppress the pain. I could tell the running was taking a toll on him. [Thanks, Kirsch...] Taran murmured. I was grateful to Kirsch, too -- Every twisted bone in my body was literally broken, and any forces on them created pain. Taran picked up my head softly and fed me more blood. Every sip was like fuel to fire, pushing the pain to a higher level.
Taran's POV We set the defense line to resist the rogues Nox might call to us, but we missed one thing -- Nox was poisoned for the past 11 years, but not this night. Though with a mad mind, she wasn't with no intelligence. She must have specifically commanded the rogues to attack Ethan's spot because this was the closest to the mountain top. There were much more rogues attacking Ethan than in any other spot. By the time I got there, all warriors there were injured, lightly or heavily. [We can't fall back because the rogues attacked without paying attention to their own safety. If we run, we will die.] I dashed into the scuffle, trying to protect my men. [Alpha!] They growled, fighting with me. [The help is on the way.] I told them, [I can heal you so long as you don't die, so, don't die on me! Hang on for a little while and it will be okay!] [Yes, Alpha!] The morale in their voices rose as the hope did. The rogues surrounding us were three or four times more than us. Though Cer
Willa's POV"You are cooling down, kitten." Kirsch pressed his forehead against mine, his voice luring me in. I reached up for his lips but he dodged quickly.Meany!"Sneaky, sneaky..." Kirsch chuckled, pressing his lips on the back of my hand instead. The flame in me was getting weaker and weaker. The wolfsbane was wearing off. I knew, I was familiar with it."What do I do next? How do I finish the shift?" I tried to move but still couldn't. It was like my whole body was broken into pieces, no longer intact."Try to feel your wolf. You can't finish the process on your own, you need her help." Kirsch told me, his hand was shivering as he held mine.[Can you company me?] I mindlinked him and he put it through immediately.[I'm here, kitten. You should be able to wake up your wolf and finish the process.] Kirsch said in a soft tone, and Rudy grinned at me, bright as always. They calmed me.[What if she's still the murderous psycho that tried to kill me?] I asked, didn't want to try that
Taran's POVAll the rogues stirred up at the frantic roar of Nox.They howled in her direction before they got into attacking position all at once, eyes fixed on me.Cerberus roared as a response, getting ready to attack as well. Suddenly all the pack warriors started howling as well. They broke the line and surrounded the rogues, ready to fight to death.[Ethan!] I shouted at him, [Stand down! All they want is me!][Leaving you now is betrayal, Alpha!] Ethan shouted, [And there is no traitor in the Gemini Crescent!][This is not betrayal! It's my command!]Cerberus growled before jumping into the rogue herd. The wolf he aimed at didn't even flinch as our teeth sank into his neck, but at the same time, one, two and more wolves jumped at us, not at all holding back. We tried to fight our way out but there were too many of them, and no pain nor injury could keep them away. Not even death.[Nox!] I broke the mindlink with the pack before I tried to mindlink her. She refused my mindlink,
Willa's POVI slept for three whole days after the new moon. The first shift was a tiring job. I had a dream about running among the forest in my wolf form, followed by a herd of rogues before we went up the hill and howled at the moon.I still remember how Nox controlled countless rogues like a queen, but later we found out that the rogues only left because they lost the command controlling them --The spirit of Nox lost her memory and was born again as my new wolf when I really turned 18. I just happened to have shouted moments after it happened. "It would be so cool if I could command rogues at will though." I faked a sigh, joking as we had breakfast together -- me, Taran and Kirsch. It was like our life was never disturbed by some maniac wolf and we had always been so leisurely and relaxing."You said as if commanding two Alphas at will isn't enough for you." Taran curved his lips, teasing as he supported his head with his elbow on the table as he watched us gorging his heavenly
Taran's POV We shared breakfast with Scarlett, but it was awful. Willa was upset, and I didn't even need to mindlink her to tell. It was natural to feel abandoned when someone you had relied on for your whole life just decided to leave for no apparent reason. But Willa didn't ask for a reason, nor did she protest. I guess she felt different about Scarlett after all, now she knew Scarlett wasn't her blood relative. She could no longer take Scarlett for granted. "I want to travel around packs and help those wolfless, just as a retirement plan," Scarlett said in a forced cheering tone. She was just upset as Willa, but she tried to hide her feelings. "Sounds great." Willa couldn't even manage a smile. "I'll come to visit you often," Scarlett tipped Willa's chin up with an apologetic look, "Don't give me the pout, little one?" "But you said you will teach me how to use my magic..." Willa pouted with a wronged face, murmuring with her eyes on her fork. "Once you get marked and break
Willa's POV "But I WANT you to touch me, fiercely..." A sexy voice raved, with a shade of luring. I was very much intrigued, but the voice sounded like it came through water. Am I dreaming? "Need permission," Cerberus grunted gruffly. I recognized his voice instantly, and I wanted to follow his voice but I didn't seem to be able to move my body. "How about just a little...?" The sexy voice enticed, giggling. In the next second an itch burst out in my clit, and my body remembered the pleasure after it instantly. I moaned as I rubbed my legs, anticipating. "Naughty!" Cerberus grunted strictly, and the itch was gone. Dissatisfaction washed over me, and I arched my back and reached out to him, longing for more. "Who's your real mate, me or Willa?!" The sexy voice turned angry all of a sudden, and my blood ran cold as I realized I just heard MY mate flirting with someone else! How could he betray me like that?! A flame of anger burst out in me, and I suddenly got the control of my bod
